It's a good thing to see a documentary on bitcoin revolution in Africa. From what I have seen bitcoin will help Africa grow financially because so many people lost interest in Africa when the credit card scam was recorded to come a lot from African countries.
Scam isn't only the exclusive reserve of the African continent. We have several recorded financial crimes in other climes that aren't in Africa. However, the only nag is that while other climes punish their criminals, Africa seems to exalt the criminals; hailing them for material gains. That's just the difference. Otherwise black and white have the same human makeup when it comes to disposition to crime.

You raised valued points in that post of yours. In addition to that, I would like to think Africa will benefit in terms of the blockchain tech because of the transparency of the chain. However, I am cocksure that political leaders and gladiators won't like that idea of the blockchain because it won't let them steal public funds. They may do all they can to frustrate the growth and adoption of Bitcoin in Africa.
