Hi all,

This is the developer of the original, and now obsolete, Bitcoin Can app (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin_Can) which was also used to power other top bitcoin apps on WP8 back in the day.

I'm looking for crytotraders that are interested in beta-testing phase two of the Forgotten Crypt trade automation platform in sandbox environments (i.e. using fake crypto currencies). My team needs your help to build a solid piece of software that may move the needle on trading cryptocurrencies for the masses in a big way.

What you get out of it:
1. Early access to a new platform and the chance to help shape it before its launched to the public.
2. Get paid for certain types of artifacts if certain conditions are met.
3. Free access to premium features as they are introduced, beyond the initial beta stages.
4. Get a heads tart once we go public.

For those that are interested to participate, you should:
1. Be an experienced trader. You do not need to be "good" or able to forecast markets, but you have to be familiar with the different types of orders and have basic understanding of the risks involved in trading.
2. Have access to a Windows PC. It's OK if you typically do your trading on your phone, but you need access to a PC or a virtual machine running Windows.
3. Understand the security risks involved in any disclosure of private keys, API secrets, or authentication details of any exchanges or wallets you deal with.

What you would be doing should you get picked to participate in this beta:
1. Get access to non-public software to use as a normal user would. Pretending you are trading with real currencies.
2. Provide feedback, bug reports, and feature suggestions to the development team.
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the software in terms of generating income and preventing loss.
4. Raise any concerns about the approach, its security model, or general viability that you become aware of.

You understand that:
1. The software is not production-ready and may contain major bugs and lack features.
2. You will not link real accounts, provide real credentials, or use the platform to perform any real transactions while the software is still in beta. If you breach this, you understand that you are on your own. We make no guarantees that it is fit for any purpose.
3. Your continued access to the platform is contingent on your participation in the development efforts.
4. You will keep the details shared with you confidential at all times, until they are made public.

If you are interested, drop your info at http://forgottencrypt.com/ and leave your name or nickname here, so I can associate you with your entry. If you are eligible, I will get in touch with you for the next steps. You may also contact me directly with questions or to join, or just post here.

Cheers.

I'm not sure I get what you are suggesting here. What aspect are you proposing I test on testnet? This is has nothing to do with the blockchain at all.

BTW, weren't you the one working on some ML-based bot at one point in time? If so, how did it pane out?

I'm sorry - I've looked more into the project.   My  Lips sealed indicated a quick suggestion - a drive by opinion.   Sorry about that.

I've joined the interest list, but not as a trader (I have little experience outside of the awesome Gunbot).  I'll send you more details off forum, so as not to derail your thread.

Edit:  Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.

No worries, thanks for joining.

The Forgotten Crypt is similar in spirit to Gunbot. But it isn't nearly as polished/established and focuses on different aspects. In particular, rather than focusing on combining different strategies, we have a sophisticated strategy designer that can do pretty complex correlated actions. One of the things we have a need for are strategy designers to help exercise the system and make sure we have the right building blocks for diverse enough strategies.

If you are willing to share what you liked and hated about Gunbot and other bots, that by itself would be huge. When it comes to crypt, every system that becomes successful almost always benefits the entire community.
