well if they are dumping the coin they know how to pump it too... so may be its buy low sell high thing going on ...
yes just like what a whale do . they pump and dump it . if you think dumping is happening now you must act fast and grab coins now because you wont know if they will pump it again .

just let them be . seriously i love those who hold coin because they make the price stable or go up . if you feel like jelous or wants to be on trend too , you can also buy and hold you own xrp .
