You know the deal here, right?
On a piece of paper write:
Bruno + Current date + bitcointalk

Post it with your face visible in here. That will prove that we are dealing with the real Bruno. We can then move for the next whatever it will be.

Check his previous post, do you still believe he's Bruno?
Someone who just made us know about his countless favors can't be Bruno. He did a lot for the entire community but never asked anything in return, nor did he expressed such shit that this person just said. I won't believe this guy even if he does what you have asked him to do, and that's because I'm getting a strong feeling this old guy can't be him.

I never followed Bruno much but from what you are saying if this is true then this is sad that a wrong person also got the access of the funds. Would you tell it a coincident that those funds were moved two days ago and the content of the post he was asking help was deleted 12 hours ago and now this topic?

Some other guy was saying something that this account was compromised before that topic was made and if this is true then the funds gone to the wrong organization or person where everyone thought this was Bruno himself.

My guess is someone from the nursing home decided to steal OP's phone, and once they discovered he was logged in, they decided to use his account to scam.

This may be the truth, there is no other possible scenerio I can imagine. If this is true, I think they had access to the wallet too or the whole donation thing is a drama created by the scammer and Bruno has nothing to do with that.

Read the OP. This seems the OP has good knowledge about the users in the forum. Someone random who does not know the forum very well is not going to create such topic now.

I am quoting the entire OP just to make sure that he do not delete the contents.

With literally thousands of nonprofit agencies seeking funding worldwide, and many conducting numerous successful and yes, unsuccessful, fundraising drives, there's no reason, at all, for not having several--eventually hundreds--of them incorporating a Bitcoin donation option, complementing their current income stream.

In the offering up of this beneficial solution to augment selected nonprofit organizations, I propose the following: Bitcoin100:

Bitcoin100 is nothing more than at least 100 supporters pledging then, hopefully, honoring at least 1 BTC prior to each time a charitable organization expresses interest in embedding a Bitcoin donation button, or acceptable equivalent, onto their website.

At first, there'll be no need to necessarily donate Bitcoin. What's desired, at the onset, is more than 100 individuals stating that they'll pledge (without having to gift at this stage) at least 1 BTC to Bitcoin100 then, eventually, honoring that pledge toward only causes they're most comfortable with, for this endeavor to fully function accordingly--as I currently envision it. The reason for requiring a minimum of 100 supporters is to guarantee, optimistically, that at least 100 BTC rests in the initial wallet when charitable organizations are ultimately approached.

So, to get started, simply state that you would like to pledge to Bitcoin100 and your name will be added to the supporter's list above. As we approach the 100 BTC mark in the wallet, we'll collectively vote on which organization we want to target first. Once over the 100 supporters threshold, the requests will go out to those on the list, to begin honoring their at least 1 BTC pledge. When the at least 100 BTC goal is reached, Bitcoin100 approaches the voted upon charitable organization with Bitcoin in hand. If they decline our gesture of goodwill, the next charitable organization is approached with the exact same offer, and so down the line, until one eventually accepts the simple terms, thereupon transferring the already funded wallet to their nonprofit corporation's Bitcoin account. After the first prospect comes aboard, success will become easier during the pursuing of others.

Ideally, it would be nice if each person who pledges to Bitcoin100, does so with the knowledge that they may be donating to at least 100 charitable organizations during the upcoming year. But it's not a deal breaker if one pledges only 1 BTC now then, at a later date, only exercises the honoring of said commitment. I firmly believe that after the act of simply building the supporter's list for Bitcoin100, the rest will take care of itself.

Gaia willing, when Bitcoin re-bubbles, you can always adjust the at least 1 BTC donation option, thereby better suiting your financial position and resources.

~Bruno~

My guess is someone from the nursing home decided to steal OP's phone, and once they discovered he was logged in, they decided to use his account to scam.

Sick.
This may be the truth, there is no other possible scenerio I can imagine. If this is true, I think they had access to the wallet too or the whole donation thing is a drama created by the scammer and Bruno has nothing to do with that.
It would be easy enough for the OP to prove he is alive by posting a current picture, but instead, the OP posted a ~5-month-old picture from what I presume to be his hospice/nursing home.

this is quite a surprise for me tbh.  if someone will do more digging from this situation, we will know the truth later on. anyway, once lockdown is over, if a forum user is nearby from the hospital that he was in before, he can always check the hospital, right? but for now, let's see what he's up to, if this is someone who is taking over his acct, we will know about that on his future posts because we know how he posted things here...interesting!!!

This incident was serious, it was getting crazy. That is, the fact that he asked for help to be used for his funeral had nothing to do with the real Bruno. Apparently, the real Bruno's account was hacked before the scam was even made. As long as he has not yet proved that he is Bruno's heart no one should believe him. However, it is obvious that he is not really based on his posts today.

The family, or hospital staff, could have failed to wipe the phone before selling it, and a hacker restored data that included forum credentials and the phone's photos.

People buy old phones and hard drives just for this reason.

I'm thinking, maybe the accounts could have been compromised not long after hospitalization. Maybe even while Bruno was alive and/or unconscious.
Could the fact that the first post praises hospital staff be a clue? Who knows.
The Gleb account actually solicited donations to one of his old BTC addys for Bruno's final wish.
https://web.archive.org/web/20200502202422/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236380.0

It's weird that the 'final wish' funds hadn't moved until ~2 days before the resurfacing and obituaries had appeared before...
And even more weird that it happened after obituaries were posted.

See: 1FkHCFv8PN1kerJct3RsQQpMcRoTnx2vWe
Now posts in the account claim Bruno is miraculously back, money from his old addresses moves, and the proof presented is old pictures.

Hard to be sure for how long a potential compromise could have been on.
But also, if Bruno was knowingly dying, wouldn't he have left a wish or at least some instructions for what to do with his coins?

I'm thinking that the obituaries are real (because who tf fakes that stuff?). And because the alleged compromiser appears to have access to many personal accounts of Bruno, that it was probably someone that somehow got a hold of his unprotected device(s) after death and had malintent. Perhaps something unpredictable happened during hospitalization and bruno went a little before his time, hence the non-transfer of BTC until today.

Too much speculation, but this might be the most baffling thread I've seen here. Bruno's posts were surprising at times, but who would have thought his account could have topped that post-mortem.

Bruno may have kept his forum account open to anyone who knows blockchain/cryptocurrency and is now using fraud. Unfortunately for Bruno, maybe he trusted this guy but it was bad intentions. It is impossible for Bruno's device/s data to be compromised if he only knows it and of course he knows how to secure it only if he has actually informed them.

If you don't sign a message from 1FkHCFv8PN1kerJct3RsQQpMcRoTnx2vWe, then you are an imposter.

How do you know it wasn't this guy who posted that? The funds moved recently so it's probable.

Cripes, I think we were suckered. I didn't realize 34 outputs, pretty much every transaction ever sent to it, were moved to another wallet address the day before the hacker started posting. https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/fc73ccf71eccb2f1783e8ca5236c1073aeb4970eed20c24268d90207f869ec48
