I must be secretly making hate searches in my sleep. I'm going to have to track my id down and have words with the goddamn thing. Or perhaps I'm blind to the truth it's urging upon me.

Interesting I got as Bitcoin is legal in India.. Almost all Indians  are happy because as it's legal in India. Good decision by the government. Wish that Bitcoin ATMs will be installed and accept bitcoin all over.

I was randomly typing into google and whilst typing in bitcoin is ........., google prompted the next word/phrase. Above is the list that I was prompted - in no particular order .
I was wondering what other members got as the first auto fill / prompt from their internet browser ?
It would be interesting to see what comes out as the most common and also why ?

I've tried doing this in Chrome, and the prompts were quite unexpected, especially the first one. And #3 being "dead" wasn't quite nice. Duckduckgo results were more neutral. I'm attaching the screenshots here:



Another interesting thing is mobile autofill, but I'm quite sure that it takes into account not only what others type but what the person using the phone usually types. So the phrase I got by choosing one of 3 words each time after writing 'Bitcoin is' was the following: "Bitcoin is the best way to get the chance to look good". Not bad prompting, eh?

So, mostly positive stuff that a person could see the first time searching for Bitcoin. I wonder why 'dead' pops up that often though.
Oh, and I just noticed that the first fill is converting to the local currency, didn't see that before.

I immediately had a redirect to the Wikipedia site. Where can I read about it. This is probably the best option, because a person who is not familiar with him, has the opportunity to figure it out on his own, without any pressure, or stories about good / bad Bitcoin.

You know what? I was surprised to the auto fill suggestions in google. Here what i got:
- bitcoin is it a bubble waiting to burst or a good investment
- bitcoin is an example of which type of blockchain
- bitcoin is a __ network of nodes
- bitcoin is dead

- bitcoin is a public permisionless blockchain
- bitcoin is worthless
Seems like bitcoin isn't a peer to peer electronic system anymore. Lol

So search suggestions based on geographic location and language used, popular keywords most often, and search history from users. That is proof, the above factors are the main factors in giving suggestions in our browser. That results in similarities, is there different in one location?

When I typed in the sentence 'Bitcoin is…' in my Google search, ten recommendations came up and here are how they were lined up from the first to the last:

• Bitcoin is the future (this has been trending for long, wow)
• Bitcoin is how much (I am not surprised to see this one, because it's like a normal question everyone would ask)
• Bitcoin is how much now (same as the second)
• Bitcoin is used for what (yes, I was also expecting something like this to come up)
• bitcoin is lamqa ( I don't really know what that means, guess I will have to research about it)
• Bitcoin is all about what (same thing with the other one I mentioned)
• Bitcoin is rising again (I also expected this one after what has happened recently)
• Bitcoin Israel (I'm quite curious as to why this one showed, I will be going now to look into it and know if anything about Bitcoin happened in Israel).

For me, bitcoin is a perfect and successful cryptocurrency made by a successful person which is Satoshi, bitcoin helps us to our daily lives in terms of financial, it helps us also to make a good investment and good trading experiences compared to fiat currency, as we all know cryptocurrency is better than that currency in terms of investment and trading.

It also helps us to have a taster and secured transactions, there are some online transactions that accept bitcoin as payment which is I really like when paying bills, hotel reservation, etc.

I believe that that auto-fill doesn't necessarily come from your personal history but rather the aggregate data they got from various users. To put it simply, it shows what kind of keywords users using that search website use when they type the keywords. Which means they got your private search history too.

That's true, it's a result of other people who are teaching about what bitcoin is, they gather all those data and they make it a hint or suggestion in the search list.

One of the result pop up on my search engine are

• Bitcoin is dead

Those are the common things and problems we are having right now let's start with the bitcoin is dead recently the market price of the bitcoin falls down because of this pandemic outbreak some of the investors pulling out their funds to use to support their selves or other people and many people losing their income because of this unexpected market movement but now we are slowly recovering. Next is the bitcoin issues that are commonly happening because of the platform using the bitcoin-like slowly sending and transferring of funds and another kind of problems we are seeing if we have transactions. Lastly is the bitcoin is legal many people are afraid about the use of the bitcoin because of the history of it and the movies we are watching about the use of the bitcoin in dark web or deep web which is true too and we can not deny this but still the bitcoin is legal in terms of adopting in a country because they will release some terms of regulations about it the bitcoin becomes illegal because of the hidden transactions on it

Obviously from what a lot of members have said there’s a lot of personal factors involved in what the browser suggests, eg, geography,previous search history etc . I’m feeling really positive though that the poll gives the most popular answer as - a network of nodes , definitely a positive rather than anything negative

.... the main currency in the crypto world, they say it has some problems although it is influential; This means that it is the most used by many people, companies and businesses around the world and has innovative technology, becoming the preferred by most.


I don't know how this appeared but it was the first recommendation autofill prompted. I just copied and pasted it here.

I am sure that it has to do with geo-location preferences and perhaps it is a way to locate someone's country. I don't mind much about this, but if anyone wants complete anonymity better not passing information like that.

my guess is that autofill depends on the most search word by people in related to btc . your poll shows term that i think not popular  but its okay because you still add others   .

 i havent do this yet but my guess was the words legit/scam will possibly show up first because i believe that people are searching this term too   .  people still doubts if btc is legit or a scam  but of course its legit as long as you control your own coins  .

There is no problem in the first 5 auto fill but the bottom 5. Many are still searching if Bitcoin is dead or going down or is it real etc. . Many are still thinking twice when it comes to Bitcoin.

I tried use brave browser. It seems to be different from the names here, which are from the same country as me. I think google suggestion given me same. But maybe this depends on the history I searched for about bitcoin.

That's interesting for sure. People in my area must be scared of being hacked or losing their coins.

I'm surprised why there are many bad sides of Bitcoin on the result, ex: dead, worthless, and ponzi. Will it be caused by many people spreading FUDs? Or because I've been reading too many articles describing bad sides of Bitcoin on some sites. However, I'm lucky that the first result is "the future". I think it is a great word to describe what will happen to Bitcoin in the coming years.

Additionally, they think that bitcoin is easy money or some like an investment scheme that will make you rich easily. Most of the people in the Philippines think like that about Bitcoin.

We also the same google search suggestion. I think it is different per country or on your IP address using, that's we have the same result but in the other people, it's different.

On Google, I get this as the first option, which seems ... pretty cool but strange. Looking a bit further, it seems that this could be part of a SEO strategy by Bitpanda using their "Beginner Academy", see this Reddit post.

Second, on Google, is "Bitcoin is dead".  

Third: "bitcoin is a __ network of nodes" - this one was already mentioned, is this part of some kind of exam? (I think "peer to peer" would be the answer). This also is one of the top options at Bing.

Well the rest of the English options in my case are pretty boring. The Spanish top 10, too. In German, an interesting one is at position 7: "Bitcoin ist klinisch tot" -> "Bitcoin is clinically dead".   (Here I found the reason. An (extremely hostely) article of a German newspaper from ... December 2018.
