Music editing

i play the guitar and ukulele, and there are certain melodies (Lofi type melody) that I made and I think I can still improve it. I downloaded Adobe Audition and somehow know certain basics of it. Multitrack, Adding effects, mixing etc but I still need certain ingridients to finish it(eg. beat, bass, vocals). 

Most of the website I visit are either complex or just promote their product which I hesitate to invest in since Im just starting. Youtube was just a little help because most of the tutorials applies to making Podcasts and mainly enhancing audio in video editing. Can you guys recommend on how I can do the remaining parts in Adobe Audition or other software. Thank you in advance.

You mentioned about YouTube, I think you'll get the idea of other music creators to have a license-free copy as your background. AFAIK, YouTube offers it through their YouTube studio.

There is a free trial available and bootlegs are fairly easily obtained.

Once you’ve mastered FL Studio, you’ll probably want to make the jump to using Pro Tools.

 I use a lot of WaveEditor on my android before when I was still in college and nothing to do. hahaha! Not sure if it still works on a level that I know. But perhaps give it a try, it wouldn't hurt.

I'm not an expert in music editing, but I heard Fruity Loops is very easy to use. Lots of my friends who make music for living were using this application in the beginning. They pointed out the interface is very nice and simple.

That's what I was going to recommend too. It's not too complicated software and it got tonnes of tutorials in youtube.

Keep in mind that with the free trial you can't save your projects for later edit.

LMMS does what FL studio does for free.
There is also the very powerful Ardour, considered the best DAW, probably overkill for most users.
Audacity can be used for simple multi track audio editing, it can be extended with gazillion filters.

As for video there are many, such as Openshot or Virtualdub. You just need to properly search for Free and Open Source projects, even if you are still chained to a proprietary operating system...
