Little update now only 8 merits left to reach that 1500 mark and it might be soon but keeping my working flow the same way.You seems to pickup this merit saving job fast enough and best of luck with it

5100 merit looks really cool and becoming member of the 5k merit club and 14^th on most merit charts.So congratulations to you man for achieving this milestone by helping others also.

The second one is for our forum adminstrator @theymos who has broken the merit wall yesterday with his IQ prank announcement.He has gained 9500 merits on his profile getting close to 10k club along with @LoyceV and @o_e_l_e_o :

Or theymos: something tells me he'll earn a lot of Merit next week.

The members senses were right on this part and now we saw how well this year April fools tradition went taking some merits ahead for him.So congratulations to our forum boss @theymos for organizing it and managing the forum as well.

You're asking me for ideas to get a lot of merits?
To be honest, I have never really analysed this, but I believe that I got lots of merits on the starter posts of my own topics.
Find something that you like doing and do it; if you think it could be useful for others too, write a structured nice post about it and that's it!
For instance, I wanted to have an easy to follow guide for a full node installation, based on OpenSUSE and with all the software I deem essential, so I made it.

Yes, 666 is a nice merit record, you should definitely save it here.
Regarding the ideas, I assume you know which posts you got merits for. You need to keep writing posts useful for the community, like you have done in the past.
