Why are hardware wallets apps ratings so bad on Google Play? I have read some of the comments and they seem logical because of unresolved problems, but why don't you do these famous wallets solve them?

I want to buy some hardware wallets, but these ratings make me think again.
Does anyone know what the reasons are for this?

Does anyone know what the reasons are for this?

1. How to solve? Add fake ratings? Is that the best solution?
2. The Google play ratings worth nothing. One late example is the apps used by teachers for online courses getting bad reviews from the kids for the sole purpose to avoid making the classes. Gmail addresses are for free, remember?
3. Although Ledger and Trezor wallets are good, at least the Ledger application... has some room for improvement (I don't know about Trezor). But that's not a problem since there are enough good established wallets that work fine with both Trezor and Ledger hardware.

I didn't read those reviews since I only use Ledger Live for installing apps and updates. The reviews about the apps may be legit, but I don't think that 1* reflects reality, hence my point 1.
Again, the actual hardware wallet is good.

If you don't like the apps then you can just use another software to interact with your hardware wallet. I personally don't plug my HW to my phone. They might be trying to fix those bugs (if any exist) but concentrating more on the desktop, or even new product creation side.

Don't decide whether you want to buy an HW because the app on Google has a bad review as there's a lot of workarounds for that.

I want to buy some hardware wallets, but these ratings make me think again.

You should take a closer look at the ratings. As for the Ledger Live, there are lot of 1 star ratings claiming that there is not support for Ledger Nano S. This problem was addressed a long time ago. A lot of people don't update their reviews. Also, Android is not iOS. A lot of people might be trying to run Ledger Live on crappy devices with no manufacturer support. I used to own a few such devices and some apps would not launch for no reason. Ledger Live now works perfectly on my OnePlus phone.

As for the Trezor Manager, it does exactly what the name suggests. It lets you manage your device, so you will not be able to check your balance, send transactions or generate new addresses. Upcoming Trezor Suite should provide such functionality, but it is currently in the beta stage only for computers. Most ratings are complaints about that. Green Wallet supports both Trezor One and model T, but they force users to use their 2-of-2 multisig setup.

With a hardware wallet, you are buying the hardware device and the security functions it delivers.
There always is an application from the vendor available with it, but these always lack some good features.

The best way to utilize your hardware wallet and a lot of good features is to use a good wallet as an interface to communicate with your hardware wallet.

Electrum, for example, offers that option. With the desktop version, you got all the features you need and when using it as an interface for your hardware wallet, you profit from all the security features of the hardware wallet.
You shouldn't rely on the app- or software ratings when buying a hardware wallet. Better concentrate on the hardware features and what possibilities you have to use/access it.

I don't know about Trezor app, but at least Ledger Live app is far from being perfect. Though it's not as bad to be rated just with one start.
There is many reasons why ratings of these apps is bad. Some people just have too big expectations for these apps. If they found missing features they usually leave bad feedback. They expect that mobile app will have all same features as PC program. Some leave it because they haven't some specific coins/tokens supported. Some people maybe have cheap or old phones and app don't work properly, but I think it's their problem.
And in general, when everything works as supposed, people just use app happy and don't even consider leaving feedback. But when something goes wrong, they are first to complain about it.
