I want to talk about a subject seldom addressed, it is the token dump that follow the airdrops and bounties.

Most ICOs and projects are not aware of this, but seasoned bounty managers and bounty hunters know this very well. The ICO price will get hammered once the airdrop & bounty are distributed.  Of course how much will depend on several factors: - Quantity of tokens given to bounty hunters and through airdrops - Demand price and capacity.  But it is not surprising that the people that got the token for "free" sell them for as low as 1/10th the ICO price.  token dump is the unwanted consequence of airdrops & bounties....  The lack of patient and self knowledge regarding the potential of tokens can result to massive dump and it damage the holding system of pros because they need to adjust as long as they can.I think all this dumpers are children and not experienced airdrop or bounty hunters. There is away to avoid dump.

The only way to avoid the dump would to either not be listed on an exchange (which would harm your coin), or to create a high quality coin that your users actually believe in and want to hold.

I'm pretty sure the project starters / ICO starters know this already, they might even be the ones that dump the token at market price. That's always the case just because you can get the token for an exchange of service, which is in the realm of the bounty hunters. They want to get as much BTC as possible and they would dump it right away once it goes live, that's not surprising at all.

The lack of patient and self knowledge regarding the potential of tokens can result to massive dump and it damage the holding system of pros because they need to adjust as long as they can.I think all this dumpers are children and not experienced airdrop or bounty hunters. There is away to avoid dump.
It's not the lack of patience but knowing that they could have easy BTC by dumping it. What do you think they should do once they have the opportunity to turn it into the best crypto (BTC)? I doubt they would want to HODL that token they received. Lol

ive been through a lot of projects.
and one of the most devastating catastrophe that could ever hit a project and its decent hunters are
People who doesn't even care, and just dumping it all.
disregarding on how much the coin was sold on ICO
and not even paying a little respect to people that invested on the project.

The point is liquidity. Mostly of hunters were always holding their coin and if there was no liquidity in the market and they will keep it on their wallet. You must try to see some old bounties.

The majority of payments were received by the hunters worth zero value and have you seen blockburn? I suggest you take a look at it.

Who said you it's free? Bounty hunters have to do a lot of shit works to get paid the shit token which most ofbthe times have zero value. On the other hand, bounty hunters are used to fill the pocket of the owner. You can not blame it on hunters. When the project has nothing interesting to offer on the market and create natural demand, how do you think that project can be successful.

You cannot blame them, this is the bread and butter of majority of bounty hunters and based on their experienced most of the tokens they've worked with ended up as useless projects, once they see a sign that the project is going nowhere they will dump it right away and move on to another project, some bounty hunters are good at seeing if the coin is losing steam in the market.

Thats why we did no airdrop / bounty  Grin Grin

Whats the way to avoid the dump?

They need to make a plan to use before distributing the money to hunters and airdrop participants, if they don't have that expect that it will dump always , they need to have a solution to buy the tokens from hunters or else it will affect the price.

Early stage is the important stage of every new project that's why need to back it up and support the coins they are created before the product they make release.

This is not a big concern for a REAL USE-CASE BASED projects. Only speculative based projects must need to worry on this.

It is obvious that people will rush towards encasing their rewards because they need to compete each other to catch better prices. You cannot stop them. If you want to stop them then you should not distribute bounty rewards/airdrop. If you do not conduct bounty/airdrop then your projects will be lacking in promotions. So, if you want to do good marketing then you must go for them at the same time you must be prepared to face such big dump.

A real use case based project is definitely bounce back from any dump. So, devs never need to worry on dumps caused by bounty or air drop hunters. Moreover, if your roadmap and team strength are convincing enough then most bounty hunters will not rush to dump their rewards.

If the project has potential in the market, no bounty hunter will dump the token if they are going to sell they will just sell a small percentage but they will retain a big percentage so they can make a profit in the future if I see projects that are slow or no development at all I will just dump it and move on.

Small projects that aren't that demanding in the market will be affected if bounty hunters and airdroppers dump their tokens but this isn't always the case, most times project team are responsible for price crash in the market, when team launched ICO or IEO they give out too high discounts, e.g buying a 1$ coin at discount price of 0.05$ and once coin hits 3$ on exchange the investors will dump

You are not sure about that. Do you know why these hunters are doing the campaign? Of course they wanted to earn money so I doubt that they will hold their rewards for the sake and benefit of the project. Once they saw some opportunity to sell they will do it without much hesitation, actually they have rights to do it cause they earned it. The sad fact is the investors blame them when the market price is falling down which should not be the case supposedly. Only small portion of the tokens going to hunter and this is not accepted to put the blame.

indeed there are very many ICO / IEO whose prices are dumped when the bounty or airdrop has been distributed. but, there is one thing that people sometimes forget, that the success they get is also due to the help of the bounty or airdrop. however, this is a challenge for every developer to find a solution so that the coins do not dump badly. frankly, many projects even still have high prices even when the bounties and airdrops are distributed. In addition, a number of solutions have also been provided such as paying using bitcoin, ethereum, or other coins on the market. however, to attract users, bounties and airdrops are paid for using tokens that they produce even though the risk is a dump.

Airdrops Hunters and bounty hunters aren't responsible for dumps, there are many factors that can make a coin dump and most times the fault is from the team

1. High discounts at ICO
2. Bad use case
3. Team plan to dump all along

The most popular one is bad use case, use cases that shouldn't be on the blockchain technology in the first place, this will make investors have zero interest so on exchange there will be no volume and enough liquidity

In my opinion not all mistakes are given to bounty hunters and airdrops, there are also bounty hunters who hold tokens from bounty and don't sell them at low prices, but there are also projects that haven't distributed tokens to bounty hunters but prices have fallen at the beginning of the list

Anyway, points supporting your observations or report are not completely true.  Though, there is nothing that can be done to prevent dump totally but there are various measures to mitigate and keep dump at check.  It is not all hunters or airdrop recipients that dump their tokens.  I have gotten many tokens from airdrops and bounties which I'm still holding till today when I see the prospects in them.

Let me tell you one of the reasons why people dump at time.  Unfaithfulness or failure to keep to distribution or listing promises on the side of the project team.  When team begin to postpone their promises of reward distribution or listing several times, it becomes unbearable and people tend to lose trust in them.  As a result of this lost of trust, hunters, airdrop recipients and even the investors will be looking for any slightest opportunity to dump such token or coin.  If team keep to their promises, put in place some measures, I believe dumping immediately after listing will be greatly mitigated.

Sorry dude,,, this is always a frequent discussion in almost every project that ever did airdrop and bounties, almost every thread if you open it and scroll through the chats, you will find all the complaints about this dumping. Old story and admit it,,, if you were a bounty hunter you would dump if you could;)

The total percentage of the token distribution will speak if it can really move the price of the token rewards. There's a misconception about bounty hunters for this and I think they're always being treated which shouldn't be like that.

It's common that they will dump the token that they will receive as reward and some rules of holding their shares was also even implemented to avoid further dumping. But they're not actually the cause of the dump but it's the investors and owners of coins who take advantage of the sale.

Unfortunately bounty hunters are being blame when the price dump, this is the sad reality because the team failed to secure the listing in a liquid exchange, this could be avoided. The thing is, they set the bounty allocation, so they can already foreseen what would happen once the bounty is over as it's expected that most of the bounty hunters will just dump right away.

Imagine, they have only give a small percentage of the total amount collected for bounty purposes and yet it will dump, so probably there's no real investors that's why only few volume are seen in exchanges.
