It is unfortunate to see these protest to open the eyes of the authorities and hope this is regarding the recent death of George Floyd. I saw the video posted by some UFC fighters and it was brutal, to knee an unarmed man on his neck and continue to do so with multiple request from others.
I am hearing news that the protest are turning violent and the police brutality against unarmed people are on the rise not only in the US but globally.

The war model of policing should be stopped globally and the legal power to silence people with brutality even during protest which happened in Delhi India recently against students and many people were killed during those struggles and what they protested was to safe guard the democracy and the authorities stomping everyone with violence. Cannot silence everyone for a long period of time and people will wake up and revolt against these and that is what we are seeing.

I just have one song in mind seeing all these. Straight Outta Compton NWA song Fuck the police.

Regarding the image, it looks like a slick advertisement for the book but it is a good book and a good read for everyone.

I saw the footage it is a murder. It is very unfortunate that black Americans are treated like shit in 2020. The authorities need to take a strict action against the officer who commited that crime.

It is very unfortunate to see people have to come out on the street just to live a life of dignity. USA is already struggling to control the covid19 pandemic and now this.

Bitcoin is a symbol of freedom from the centralized rule of the rich, I guess the slogan might mean the same.

Perhaps the point by the protesters or at least the one who carry that flag is that bitcoin is freedom from government itself. Maybe they are anticipating that this case could turn no where as the cops who did this could get away with it.

This incident is another wake up call to the US, just sad that another man is killed in the hands of the cop. Really senseless killing and a tragedy.

I have also seen the video about this and what the police did is not really right, which made people angry. Even if you are not black, you know that what happened is not right. But as for this picture, it says to google bitcoin + black America, so I did. And what shows is a book entitled "Bitcoin and Black America" by Isaiah Jackson.

I don't know and have not read this book but what I think is it tells how the banking system treats Black Americans differently from White Americans, and that bitcoin is a good alternative for them. Since I don't know anything about this book, I can't say much about it. But the picture clearly shows that she wants people to read the book and realize how the banking system is treating Black Americans, and how some of them consider bitcoin because of this kind of treatment.

This is a tragic incident that led to more tragic events. I've watched the video of Floyd getting arrested, and his final moments while the knee of a police officer lies on his neck, that was brutal. This case made the America in the center of news amidst the pandemic, because the following events are bothering. People start to cause commotion in the streets, looting the closed stores, stealing cars, etc. Not looking good for America I guess from its economy to proper state governance.

I thought the police brutality here in my country is the worst, yet I was able to see a more barbaric handling of arrest that result to someone's death. What's worst with this scenario is that Floyd did not die from a gun.

You guys are right, bitcoin is a symbol of freedom.

Floyd is being contrasted as bitcoin for the America, Floyd must be the eye opener for them.

Not an American, but to me it seems like racism in the USA is something some people have interest in triggering whenever they have some purpose to fulfill.

I keep in touch with some people living out there in the US from time to time and they always used to tell me the racism they portrait on the TV is way more exaggerated than what you see in real life. White and black people usually get along.

I do see why BTC is brought into this - it's the way every country's economy has been pulled down to the ground through some unnecessary measures and the fact that some countries have poor people become even poorer and probably at least 10% of the middle class has turned to poverty.

Makes you look for better alternatives & it's not bad at all to at least mention Bitcoin's name especially during a crisis - maybe it gets to the right person's ears. It's awesome however to see that BTC is mentioned nowadays even in protests, compared to years ago.

The protest has been invaded by groups with other interests. There are politicians against the current administration then there are plain criminals and anarchists.

In case of bitcoin, they are trying to connect the discrimination by financial institutions against blacks and how they want to be freed of the centralized financial system. Maybe this is a good advertisement for a book and bitcoin but I think it's not right to mix it in this protest.

I live in a country where you usually see no black people on the streets because they don't live here. This is why the question of racism is not relevant for now, as incidents are very rare due to a very low amount of black people. It is unbelievable to me that racism is still a thing after everything humanity's been through. While in the US there's this scandal about racism, in my country there is currently a scandal with a woman being raped and tortured at the police station. I do hope that at some point during our lifetime such things will finally stop happening.
As for Bitcoin, it liberates people from the current system offering a financial alternative to fiat, but of course no wonder it can be used in wider context of liberation from the authorities and their pressure. Bitcoin cannot help with racism from the police, but it's not a completely unrelated incident. After all, the police believed the guy was using a counterfeit dollar banknote, and such a question wouldn't have been posed if the person was using Bitcoin.

What happened to Floyd is very very unfortunate and it was a cold-blooded murder. I hope the resist pig will get an exemplary punishment for his sin. But I am seeing many videos in Youtube or Tiktok that, Apple stores are being vandalized, super markets are being robbed at the same time! This is not protest! Definitely some other groups with different interest against the current administration is poking their nose into the current situation and trying to create massacre.

So, idk, I like it whenever people use Bitcoin as part of a "revolution" or whatever, but a peaceful one, you know? Like when ppl protest because some turds in the US want to censor the internet? and you see all those btc signs on the street? Yeah...But right now things have escalated to some extent that i don't feel comfortable supporting it, hence why i'm not comfortable giving the "ok" sign when seeing Bitcoin being mentioned in these turbulent times.

Saw the video regarding the murder of floyd minutes after it trends on twitter, that act is totally racism. Protests are okay as long as they don't destroy someone's business, cars, infrastracture, etc. At some point, the protests are just excused for stealing and looting on that city.

I saw a picture too someone who's wearing a construction suit and there's "Buy BTCitcoin" written at the back of that suit. I couldn't connect for bitcoin and the current issue that the Minneapolis is facing and I emphatize with the victim on what happened. It seems to be good that someone supports bitcoin whilst joining in that protest. But happened felt that there's a need for that, welp, I'm not there and it's them that can do anything they want while protesting.
