It has been more than 6 months since https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183553.msg52420076#msg52420076 and I think it is appropriate to discuss whether the experiment was successful, or does it need some modification?

If it is successful, then I hope to see it in local boards, markets, and Marketplace some other boards.

I think this new bump feature is designed for extremely active section (Altcoins), and I think it was successful. I just thought if those section don't have this new bump feature, maybe most of them only post "bump" to bump the post and it will make the board very messy.

Why need on local boards and marketplace? Those section is not really extremely active and not need for this new bump feature. Actually you can bump the post if you feel needed

The original thread would be best for discussion in my opinion.
However, I have seen some useless threads in the top (bumped by someone). Some of the projects don't exist even. Moreover, most of the old projects always get a place on the top. Newbies may not have any idea how they can filtet according to the posted dates. It will be a pain for them to find out the newest threads.

From a spam exposure point of view, the bump changes have had a massive impact. I've said this a few times, but there are still a lot of spam going on behind the scenes, which is made evident every once, and a while when someone stumbles upon it, and reports it. However, the vast majority of users browsing the altcoin section aren't seeing it anymore, and usually better projects in terms of legitimate projects which aren't paying for bumping services or creating false activity within their thread are getting more exposure.
