The coin/token listed on top exchange is not always make the coin/token is have a good value. As we can see so many exchange have a fake volume or many investor dump the coin/token. Your token is legit and tradable, but you can't say you will get a much profit from it.

I don't know why you should create this topic again, I have seen so many thread about discussed about this topic. Also, almost (probably all) bounty hunters is know if bounty program is not always successful, not valuable or even got scammed. You can't force them to avoid ICO, everyone know the risk before join in any bounty.

My advice for any members, before joining in any bounty... please check the project in scam accusations board first to know if the project is scam or not (e.g. plagiarized whitepaper or fake team) or do your own research.

I'm not saying this is an entirely bad advice but looking at the exchange side it's like a bad advice, you are simply killing off new projects that can't afford to list or do launchpad on binance and Okex, what about small Exchanges like Probit? Who will invest in projects from these small exchanges??

I think the main essense of carring out a bounty project is about fund raising and it needs investors to come in however by categorically warning investors to avoid new fund raising solutions like ICO is at the extreme. We are all aware that there are bad eggs in the space but we should not condemn the good ones. We all need to carry out a due diligent search before investing on any crypto project

Well it is true scammers will always look for a way to carry out their scamming activities but I do think that just like the IEO was invented there can still be a possibility that another fundraising method might be introduced, the only thing to do in such case is to analyse the new fundraising method and check if it is really viable or not. But talking about ICO, any project doing that and anyone investing in such projects should be ready for whatevers that comes out of it. Nevertheless, I also agree with you, the best method we have now is IEO but that doesn't mean there won't be a chance of a new method, it's just a matter of time.

Thanks for the warning but I remember when IEO came into this space not every investors trust IEO at first until later on, I'm actually expecting a new ICO soon but I won't dare join in an instant, IMO project scam me too, I lost over 250$ on that scam platform

We must also be careful with any IEO that listed on big exchange site. We must go out before the token will be going down caused by the dump from the whale.
The fact that there was no guarantee even for a project that launched on the major ieo platforms too.

I don't really trust in ICO anymore since there are too many scam projects. I prefer to invest in IEO. However, it doesn't mean IEO and any new fund raising platform don't have scam projects. Just be careful, traders!

Investors don't need to be warned about IEO, they probably join in the first place for quick profits that's why most IEO projects on binance loses value after few weeks or months, investors don't plan on holding anymore

From the bottom of my mind I feel like all new altcoins are total waste of time, if I have to participate in any IEO it will be because of the x4 or more than exchanges like binance , Okex ,kucoin and others used to give investors, this doesn't mean the projects are good for long term holding, most IEO projects on binance are now under valued

But perhaps OP talks about different IMO?! Generally, it's better than ICO/IEO in terms of keeping the fund safe and distribute it periodically instead of single lump sum.
But that's about it, proper due diligence is a must.

I would only consider investing to an IEO only if it is listed on top exchanges such as binance, gate.io but othe than that it is a no no especially P2pb2b. This exchange is an IEO killer even you say that the project is good but remember good and legit projects will only be noticed by legit exchanges too

Initial Mode Offering ( IMO ) is a big Fundraising scam, I invested in IMO Token, around 200$ and I got 7000+ tokens, today the tokens worth 25$, only God knows what caused the huge price dump and I've also heard about few projects that turned scam after many invested in them e.g HCE project on IMO

This is common. They have been warned countless time already here and they are still not learning their lessons. I know IMO project last year and it looks scam to me. Many joined on the bounty campaign too but I doubt they have been paid. Is there a project that launch on their platform that actually succeeded? As long its from Chinese projects everyone should exercise caution cause these guys are smart and good actors pretending to have a legit project.

I totally agree with you, 99% of ICOs are scams. When you invest in them, you will definitely lose and not receive any profit. Stay away from ICOs and invest only in IEO if you are interested in new projects

Recently most initial coin Offering are scam, it's better to invest in initial exchange Offering,but before you do that make sure to do your research,make sure the project is worth it,and above all check out the exchange it's doing it launchpad and the success rate.

Before you join any fundraising make sure they've leave good histories to talk about already, this is why I'm very confident about IEO, many projects raised funds easily using IEO launchpad on big exchanges, the only downside of IEO is small projects don't have a chance, reviews have a big role to play in crypto space

It's not that all icos must be trusted by a few icos can still be trusted but DYOR is a must. IEO gives more guarantee as long as it launched on a major platform but there were no differences between scam ICO and IEO when it launched on the crap exchange sites.
