I am not saying it will accurately increase the value of it. But it is a possibility.
There is still hope the ATH could be achieved again.

Vitalik might have said that it won't be reached again but he is still not giving up and offered something new.

I will not be specific but i think looking at the fundamentals and technicals all good projects and their coins are nicely placed for big future growth, personally im trying to accumulate eth, neo, ada, tron, xlm and xrp there are dozens of other good ones too so pick your coins and wait for the profit time.

I would highlight eth, neo, tron and would add xtz to these, their all-time charts will speak for themselves.
But I honestly don't understand how people do still believe in xrp - its on bear run for a year or so

xrp is in bear but only xrp alone ? afaik other good coins are on same position too  and yes i consider xrp good not because of its value or in current state now but because xrp already prove before that it isnt just another ordinary coin   .  op said 2020 rising altcoin . xrp havent rise these days but year 2020 isnt done yet    . who knows maybe xrp can pump in the upcoming week or month     .  the coin that you include  ( xtz ) are the one that is questionable here because this coin sounds pretty new to me    .

I hope this year is not a weak year for altcoin, after halving in a few days today showed a pretty good price change, look at today's ETH price of nearly $ 245.00 hopefully 2020 will have a different feel.

It's not gonna be a weak year for altcoin for sure! We have seen the rise of altcoins' prices on the market for the last few days. Most traders I know  also say that in the second half of 2020 will be the time to jump in trading altcoins again. Despite the current economic situation in the world is extremely affected by the pandemic, I believe that the cryptocurrency market in general and the altcoins market, in particular, will keep raising!

To a great extent this pandemic contributed to the somewhat slow growth we have seen this year, but however it has also shown the projects whose team are hardworking and not allowing the pandemic or whatever to slow them down. About rising altcoins this year, the first I will say is Ethereum, which has been really trying to keep up to what's expected of it. Another is ADA whose team are also trying their best, and the price so far is kinda encouraging. Others are Binance coin, XLM and LTC.  I think most new projects needs to be thoroughly studied to ascertain their value.

In cryptocurrencies world lots hundreds of altocoins coming on daily basis, it will very difficult for trader to choose the right coin I think the coin who has ranked in top 100 might bring some good and steady profit for us. BNB is coin of Binance exchange. Binance has always comes with new features so there coin will be in demand all the way. I this xrp is due for a jump. It might begin very soon. So I like and think these two coin will definitely bring profit for us.

I'll go with the highest market cap altcoins on this year.
I'll go with Ethereum, there's a lot of upcoming updates on Ethereum especially the Ethereum 2.0, or Ethereum will become Proof Of Stake.
And on the technical part, Ethereum is still 80%+ from its all-time-high price, so there's still lot of space to grow and profits if ever we will visit again its all-time-high price.

There's no doubt that ether will soon reach it's ATH price. The fact that ether is moving to Proof of Stake give's itself more space to grow.
Though we might see a little decrease in price due to the higher cap of 32ETH for staking, it will soon be the new norm as mining pools emerge which will provide ways to invest with lower amounts of ETH. So in the long run, the price of ether is most probably gonna increase and hence the price will cross it's ATH price.

So many altcoins out there that I wanted ot invest with but I set myself to hold ethereum coins for long term. Most of the top marketcap coins are all good but there is no doubt that having eth as your prime investment in altcoin will surely give you a profit on a long term investment. Why eth? Simply because they still on their early phase and we can observed a room of improvements on their platform ij the long run.

See how the price grows since then, we are not yet reaching its all time high but I believe eth can go again on that range.

Honestly, this year only for the top altcoins in this market. Only top altcoins can survive and grow with Bitcoin. I have seen a lot of new projects created this year, but most of them have died or prices collapsed many times after being listed in exchanges.

I think the altcoin will have time every year to rise, but there will be one-time for the altcoin to increase so high, and that will happen in random years without we know. But after the bitcoin halving, the chance for the altcoin to increase so high will wide open because bitcoin price will rise so high too so that can make the altcoin will have the same opportunity to increase. We don't know if this year the altcoin will have that chance, but as long as bitcoin price can slowly to grow, the altcoin will follow.

Honestly, this year only for the top altcoins in this market. Only top altcoins can survive and grow with Bitcoin. I have seen a lot of new projects created this year, but most of them have died or prices collapsed many times after being listed in exchanges.

You should take a look at the gainers and loosers on CMC site and you will know about the truth when so many scam coins even getting pumped by the whale or i could say the whale tried to waste their money.
It looks like the pump happened randomly.

Im still gripping on bch and xrp though it is hard for that altcoins to really perform well, but the fact that they will also have a chance to rise like before is one of my optimistic hope. Anyway, i also hold ethereum and bnb as well and I trust these two coins to rise and become profitable this year. I know it is hard for the altcoins to go back from their trend like 2017 but who knows?

True! I have a faith that the second half of this year gonna be a time for altcoins bullish. ETH has some certain influences on another altcoins, even though its effects isn't as strong as BTC. Therefore, the launch of ETH 2.0 can be the event that trigger all other altcoins to pump, I hope! However, let's see!

I agree with your assessment of Ethereum -- for as much flak as it takes from the Bitcoin community and for as much competition there vying to take its spot, there's simply too much riding on Ethereum for it to fail.

As far as emerging altcoins go, one that caught my interest recently was WAX. Its a close of EOS that was originally geared for trading of in-game items. That aspect hasn't really materialized, but what did happen was that the Topps trading card company decided to start releasing digital versions of their cards on it, which helped it gain 40% in the last 3 weeks or so.

I wrote all about Topps launching their Garbage Pail Kids series as NFTs on it here. Its proving that at least some physical card collectors are catching on to the idea of digital collectibles and getting them interested in cryptocurrency and the blockchain in the process. I expect WAX to take off as more trading card series are released by Topps on it in the future.

There are many people who say HEX is a scam project and make many investors lose money. But when you see the recent price increase, people will definitely think about it. This project has grown many times and helped many investors to make a profit, if the bounty hunter hold token until now then they might have become rich.

Anyone bought some Altcoin between Nov and Feb should be in some good profit now. I have couple of them that bottomed out and you can still check on them yourself if they are good for investment.

In fact the crypto market and stock market overall are heavily affected, its just crypto fell for a month and then climbed up (for a reason).
Stock market fell a lot so people were shocked, sold their investments and invested in crypto instead (here is the reason)
I don't know honestly what to expect from this year and this world anymore, our predictions are so random
