The match will be won by Golovkin, the height difference is of course make Golovkin's benefited. Then make Golovkin's fist reach even further,
This benefit will be utilized by Golovkin. And Golovkin's age difference is younger than Manny Pacquiao too, this is another benefit for Golovkin.
But Manny Pacquiao has tougher punched and also a high fighting spirit, this makes Golovkin won not easy.

If this is for real, the rumors about Manny Pacquiao taking his retirement won't happen. Although, he hasn't mentioned about his retirement and there's no official words from him that he's going to retire, he can still fight and do what he want.

But the most surprising news that I've heard about him was Arum talked about his presidency. But he himself followed up and denied all the words that came from Arum but who knows?

This is still rumor, GGG will have a schedule fight against Alvarez, and Manny is looking for this options. The name of Mikey floats around, but it's not yet final as well.

Politics is very different game though, we all know how dirty the politics is in the Philippines. It's really up to Manny to decide and no one can tell him to run for Presidency or not. Don't believed anything that Arum says specially which pertains to Manny's career in politics. They are no longer connected as boxer-promoter relationship, so just typical Arum spewing lies because we all know that Manny remains the most hype boxers around besides Floyd. And Arum still wants to ride the bandwagon.  Smiley

Obviously I will put my bet on Manny Pacquiao. The fact that they are considering this match means Manny can win against Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin. Though can Manny really do the weight change? If this will be the fight, I will really beat on MP. Another boxer against him with a height advantage, Manny can knock him down or beat him up.

Uhmm, I think you are just a very avid fan of the Pacman that you bet on him without first examining the opponent and this time you will lost your bet but fortunately for you mate, this fight is not gonna happen. In the first place, team Pacman is not considering this fight, it's only Roach who spread this rumor and he ain't the trainer of Manny anymore, he will be in Manny's corner as a consultant AFAIK.

Manny have the luxury of cherry picking his next opponent and it would be between the two Garcia's (Danny and Mikey) if he can't get that rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

Thanks for that. I thought that this is final, I haven't gone through other links and articles verifying if Golovkin vs. Pacquiao is already on the go. If Golovkin will have his match with other fighter then we shouldn't expect this soon, there will be a lot of preparations and negotiations before this fight happens.

A'right I thought that there's something to do with their talks and they still have connection to each other. Well, Arum probably just want to get attached to Manny as long as he can since his name is still clicking to boxing fans.

Reading your post, yeah I guess you could say I am an avid fan of him. Been betting to him since he's putting a show on every flashy ring he went up to, either Las Vegas or in other places. Though it is not that I am underestimating his enemy. Triple G is a great boxer, I just remembered how people debate like this when Manny fought against Margarito which is also a great boxer with a great advantage in height against Manny. I just thought that it would be the same.

I read this news today.

https://www.boxingscene.com/manny-pacquiao-fight-golovkin-freddie-roach-says--149298

What do you think about this fight, Manny seems like to break his current record to be the ninth division champion.

Quote
At the age of 41, Roach said Pacquiao could be eyeing a title in a record ninth division against one of boxing’s all-time great middleweights.

If this fight happen, who is your bet?

I don't care about everything but if this Fight settled and declared?i will Bet for Money and care about nothing.

Manny Pacquiao is soon to retire(maybe 1-2-3-5 years) but even though in near future we will never see Him fight again above the ring so why bother about anything?lets just enjoy His last moments in boxing world, let us bet what we can afford to lose like what we does in our investments here in crypto.

So Viva Manny Pacquiao.

You can't compare Margarito and Triple, the only similarities is that they are both tall and natural bigger guy than Manny Pacquaio. And Margarito was very slow and just move forward because he has a great chin. Manny did destroy him and it was a different version of Manny back then. Today, Pacquaio have lost his step and seems to be gassing out in later round like what we have seen against Thurman.

If you say 5 years, I think that's a lot of great fights that we can still witness, Manny is fighting GGG for another world record, imagine, if he beat GGG in a title fight, he will be the only 9th time world champion in different division, currently he is the 8th and no one has already made it in history, but him.

Im confident he can do it too but this fight is not official yet so we have to wait for their announcement if this will push through.

Well Pacquiao is indeed successful in his boxing career but I heard he is planning to run as president on 2020. How true is this?

He might really retire being a boxer if this rumor of him running in high position were true.

Age is great factor and do really affect everything from speed to reflexes to stamina etc. We can see the difference in age but not really that much since Golovkin is already 38 years old as i remember.
I dont know why people do presume out Margarito with GGG as we can see the difference between fighters and i can say that ggg is way more dangerous and much better.
I still doubt the winning chance of Pacquio on here even if he do have the speed but it would really be enough to take him down? It would be hard.

Agree, in every sports that we're playing even where very skillful and have a lot of experience on it, when our time comes, we must let go. Especially on this kind of sports which requires a lot of stamina, Pacman is too old and Golovkin is 3 years younger than Pacman so there's still a gap between them. I want Pacquiao to win but I guess it'll be really difficult for him to fight GGG. The size factor is not a big deal since Pacquiao already defeated boxers that's bigger than him.

Pacman is too old and Golovkin is 3 years younger than Pacman so there's still a gap between them.

Maybe older, but not too old.
Age is just a number, if he survive and win against Thurman in his last fight, then there's a better chance for him to win in this fight.

Pacman vs Thurman (31) and Pacman vs GGG (38)... I think if we only based on age, Thurman is a harder opponent.

Also, I believe that Pacman likes GGG because he is slower and he can use his speed advantage, and Pacman just have to avoid getting him, as that is going to be his weakness in this fight.

People here have spoken, 32-10 in favor of Pacman . Smiley

I hate it when old fighters come out of retirement, it seems stupid. Manny is on of the greats, sometimes it’s a good idea to honour your memory by staying out of the game. When they return they're never as good, he has enough money, he doesn’t need this.

Who's coming out of retirement?

Pacman came out of retirement years ago and he's actually been dominating.

GGG never went into retirement as far as I'm aware.

Their age range isn't massive, and they're both still doing well. Sure, it probably won't be a crazy fight, but it's definitely better than watching B-grade fighters.

Edit: Casted my vote for GGG, he'll absolutely stomp Pacman, he's just too big and has a granite chin.

Manny Pacquiao should have stayed retired and there is no point in fighting still but i would not mind seeing a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Pacquiao but thinking about fighting a much bigger fighter in Golovkin is ridiculous, i hope this is just a rumor as nothing is going on right now as Manny have other fights to make money rather than taking on much bigger fighters. He proved himself and there is nothing else to prove.

Thurman was the stepping stone of Manny on why he is back now, and these young fighters wants him but it's difference when Manny chooses and I like to believe that as he choose GGG, he is capable of betting him more than we think.

I respect you vote for GGG, may the best boxer wins.

For the record bro, Manny never said that he wants to fight GGG. This idea was floated by Roach as i mentioned in my previous post. I also tend to believe that at this point of his career, Manny is so smart that he would not pick this fight.

Then who are the A-grade fighters for you, for me, those two are.

As far as we know, Manny didn't retire for job, he just took a break after his controversial lost to Jeff Horn. And when we made his comeback, he won successively, and against Thurman, he became the older Welterweight to win. For now this is rumor, and I'm sure most boxing pundits are going to pick Golovkin because of his sheer advantage in height and punching power.

@sunsilk - Yeah, Arum can't get over with Pacquiao dumping him and then going to PBC.  Grin. But they have a good history of winnings and making money for Pacquiao.

Yes, those were good days and Arum just can't get over losing Pacquiao on his side. Well, if I'm on his shoes, I'll also feel the same disappointment and would probably create a noise just to win him back and get his attention.

I'm not aware that they have already separated their ways. Good riddance should Manny say.  Tongue
