It is no longer funny to see people fall for scam that are obviously full of suspicions to be scams.

Scammers had in the past use fake ICO to steal people fund, they have used fake wallet address websites to steal wallet private keys and thereby steal from their wallets.

Many methods had been employed by the scammers which are all cryptocurrency related scams.

The current scams involves the usage of binary trading and sport betting to dupe people of their fund. The funny thing is that most of these scammers neither have a platform nor a website to make this scam look legit. All they do is to create a telegram channel, add people to the channels and post the screenshots of their acclaimed successfully processed transactions.

Their first step is to bump into your telegram pm, start a conversation with you and ask of your location and then introduce the platform to you with offers and rewards too good to be true. And when you ask for a proof or what the platform looks like, then they send you the link to their scam telegram channel.

The other one is sportybet. They have a website which I can't post here. I have many friends who have deposited into their sportybet account but withdrawal of the fund to their accounts is impossible.

What just surprises me is that some people are still falling victims despite the clarity of scam these portray.

The best practices to avoid being unnecessarily scammed are to:
1. avoid falling for too good to be true investment offers
2. avoid dealing over the telegram groups
3. avoid those who bump into your telegram pm to offer a trade or business deal.
4. research any investment platform before you invest into it.
5. avoid taking investment suggestions from some who pm you in a telegram group without having a mutual group with you.

Scams are obviously scam to you because you knew they are scam, what about newbies who don't have any experience about how crypto works? Thanks for creating this post in hope to safe others though but I'm sure that newbies will always have something to learn from, scammers are evolving too, they pretend to be legit and leave no traces behind, sometimes they are extremely hard to detect.

I don't know of binary but the ones I heard of is spot betting, I heard that when people bet for a came and eventually came out as winners most of the betting sites will refuse full payment although I don't engage in betting so I can't say how true it is, but yeah, scammers always develop new method to scam people and the sad thing is their is always a victim, I wish there is a way to go about this issue but unfortunately there isn't.

There are scams that really hard to detect some of them have professional people involve yet some could still end up scam. 2017 was the boom of ICO and the boom of scam too up to this day, no projects could be 100% trusted even if you did a homework in evaluating them.

There's no such thing as a free lunch. Everybody should well remember that and do not let their greed overcome their mind. Most tricks from scammer only work thanks to people become too greedy. If some random guy pm me on telegram for a good deal, I would block him right away. There is nothing good to come out of that.

It's something that will always happen because majority of people don't know about it yet and as many people are joining telegram groups they will want to have a taste of it after which they will find out it's scam. People should just be extra careful and not fall for a cheap scam. Anyone making huge from a trade won't sell anything for high price to you because he will make more of it through trading.

The best practices to avoid being unnecessarily scammed are to:
1. avoid falling for too good to be true investment offers
The best weapon against this fraudsters is not to be greedy. Otherwise, you will easily get trap and fall for this gimmick.

2. avoid dealing over the telegram groups
Haven't done any dealings over telegram, and people should think twice about doing it.

3. avoid those who bump into your telegram pm to offer a trade or business deal.
Again, like Discord, telegram is a haven for criminals and scammers.

4. research any investment platform before you invest into it.
Most important part of investing that people really forget. Research and research about the project or product that you are thinking to pour your money. This is one way street, once you deposit then your money is gone.

The only approach to these scammers is: anyone making move to invest on any project in this cryptocurrency industry should ensure to have research into the project before invest in them. Never be too expert and refuses to make your own research into that project you intend to invest, maybe there is something you can find out with a little research into the project. Although research can't be 100% sure into discovery scam projects but it will help.

Greediness is one of the major issue with young investors, they're very eager to make their profit without them considering the project standards and real world case use.

Funnily, people tend to disregard most of these warnings and end up being scammed repeatedly. One of the most common ways to get scammed is by falling for too good to be true offers generally classified as greed. Greed often plays an important part in people's loss of awareness of the impending scam and only get to realise when it is already too late and they have parted with their hard earned money. If you can avoid these things, then the rate of getting scammed will certainly reduce.

Obvious or not, the fact remains that a scam is a scam irrespective of the approach.

Also, you are always at fault if you get scammed because you allowed yourself to be lured with freebies, and impossible profits

And also via forum PM, many people may message you about new projects and ask you to invest because it has lot of offers and great potential, which is also another proof to remind us that scammers are everywhere. Its our responsibility to stay away from these kind of offers. And invest on a project because lot of people invested because its easy to fake the numbers here,

You are absolutely right, it is just so sad to see a lot of members, who are mostly newbies here fall into scammers and so easy to be victims, it happened cause of not having any experiences about that. That is why most people are joining here for getting a quick amount, they think that without the knowledge and only with money they can do it. But it doesn't work as expected.

Some tips that you should consider before you invest into ICO or IEO.
Do not fall into crazy promises like 150% return in the first year, or high dividends. Nobody can assure you a profit after token listing because it is decentralized, it is affected only by supply and demand. Secondly, look if the team is legit and created already successful business, if not, then probably the team doesn´t have enough skill to succeed.

Yeah, seems like scamming others have itself become a business and thousands of people are doing that i mean almost 2 3 people contact me daily at telegram and after initial conversation they try to introduce me to their investment platform and whenever i click there programs they take me to never heard programs with an obvious ponzi models, i usually get amazed that how these people cannot simply see that they are promoting ponzis that will disappear soon or most probably it is the comission and greed that blinds them and they do not hesitate to deceive others for their personal gains.
