Is it possible to have the same wallet both on my phone and on my laptop and use them both or will this lead to errors?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Yes, it's possible; I have a wallet on my PC and use the same wallet to my phone. You can use the seed you generated from Electrum PC and import the seed phrase to Electrum mobile.

To import the seed to phone, you need to create a new wallet and choose I already have a seed as the image shows below.

After you import, it should show the same addresses from your Electrum PC and your phone Electrum.

I never get any errors yet using them, but it's always safe if you can use a separate wallet from your laptop and phone to reduce the risk and to keep your wallet safe.

Like he said, there wont be any problem.

But I wont recommend it, it'll double the risk to get hacked;
if you need a copy of your wallet in your phone for checking balance/transactions, import the master public key instead to create a "watch-only wallet".

But if you really need both devices to be able to spend your coins, yes, you can do that.

A wallet only handles addresses / private keys. The coins are "on the blockchain". Any of these wallets, when it's online, will sync with the network and "see" the correct funds. So as long as you are online when you create transactions there's no way to get errors.
Also this is the reason people tell you about safety: if somebody gets your wallet / or private keys / or seed, he can spend your coins and you'll only see at some point the transaction done.
Be careful.

"Your seed, your fund". You are allowed to use your seeds anywhere you want at anytime. This isn't web wallet or something else. But I strongly suggest not to do that. You may follow what @nc50lc has said. Just create watch only would be better option to save your funds. As much as you input your seeds on multiple devices then there is huge possibility to compromise your wallet. So better create another wallet or use watch only on the second device. For your information, if you need another wallet only to check balance and transaction then you are able to see it on any block explorer without any risk by using address only. So even you don't need to use another software. Anyway just be sure you are downloading second software from original source always. Otherwise your wallet would be hacked very easily.

It doesn't matter as long as you can protect the seed or private key and the device you use to access the same wallet address.
For example, I use the same address on imToken on a smartphone and Electrum on a PC, when I transact sending several BTC on a smartphone, the Electrum on the PC is automatically synchronized with the blockchain network for the transaction - and vice versa.

The fewer devices that access the private key, the more secure your account is, so try to make the devices that can sign your bitcoin address as little as possible.
You can also track your account balance using the public key or extended public key for your wallet balance.
Thus one device can sign the message and many devices that can track your balance.

As others have said, there's no issue with having the same wallet installed on multiple devices.  I have one "hot wallet" that I have installed on my home PC, my personal laptop, my work laptop, and my phone.  But that's not where I store most of my wealth.  I treat that wallet as if it's cash in my pocket, i.e. I only leave about as much money in it as I would carry around in cash.  It's nice to have a couple of hundred dollars in funds quickly accessible in case I'm on a trip and shred a tire on my car, or need money for some other emergency.  But if it gets hacked or lost, I won't be out too much money.

There are legitimate security and safety concerns involved, but if you know the risks, and make an effort to mitigate them then you should be fine.
