Hello, I am looking to buy around $50 worth of bitcoin. I'll send the money through f&f and use escrow

That doesn't change anything? Friends and Family transactions can be charged back, and for the same reason still no escrow doing PayPal

Friends and family can't be charged back. The worry with these are that it's a hacked account or something along those lines.

Escrow won't touch Paypal for the same reason because it's not safe for 180 days.

OP it is tough to start trading here for Paypal without any reputation using a method that isn't the safest for the Seller. What country are you in?? There may be other options. You might even have somewhere local you can purchase some BTC.

Yes friends and family can be charged back by unauthorized dispute.
It takes less than few seconds to get VPN with from the same country or just use internet club with your paypal to look like someone hacked your paypal...
I can't calculate how many time in the past i were scammed by F&F payments..

Dear lord people are really paranoid about getting scammed. What payment method is vulnerable to being scammed besides bitcoin? With giftcards I can just buy some and do a chargeback against the shop I brought it from. I can claim fraud for any other payment method I can think of unless I am wrong here. Anyways, I prefer to not to do anything in person ( I am quite anti-social). What payment method you have in mind?

It's country and account dependant really. In Canada there is email money transfer that goes direct bank to bank. Apart from that there are plenty of services that will take a cut and allow you to use credit card.

BTC ATM'S are a good option if you are stuck but fees can suck.

People are cautious here because there are dozens of posts a week that appear similar to yours and seem innocent enough. Unfortunately they often turn out to be attempted scam attempts. You can never be to sure recently an individual I and many others had traded with pulled a scam seemingly out of nowhere.

If you stick around and build up a reputation here you will see it many times yourself. I have seen it once where the purchaser paid and then received the BTC 180 days later, once absolutely safe for the seller.
