Launch Time: Since 03/21/2014 08:00 PM (UTC-0).

Principal features:

Algorithm: Scrypt
Maximum coins: over 17.000.000.000,00 FLN
Block time: 43 seconds (aprox. 2009/day)
Difficulty Re-target Time: Kimoto Gravity Well
Full mining: 5 years

Coins awarded per block: this is the big difference in Floripacoin:
  - In the first 999,999 blocks (approx. 500 days) coins awarded per block is 10,000 FLN
  - However, every 1000 blocks (2 times a day) starts a sequence of 21 special blocks, and the first 20 coins will randomly between 500 and 50,000, and block 21 will give fixed value of 50,000
  - Between blocks 1,000,000 and 2,999,999 a block reward is 10,000, and will be halved every 733,394 blocks (approx 1 year)
  - And from the block 3,000,000 will give fixed value of 600 FLN

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

what address are you mining to? stratum+tcp://localhost:3333 ??

here it says http://pool.floripacoin.com.br/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool
Time Since Last Block    67 hours 46 minutes 32 seconds

Now it's 1838 blocks. So the pool finds blocks, but not increasing shares with no payout. That's a scam or premine by devs... neither is good for the coin. If no nodes or payouts in 5 mins I'm out - terrible start.

By saying pool I mean there are 0 or 1,2  connections in the wallet, none of them gives blocks. No dev in the thread. How do we call that?

its not possible to mine at the pool right now because there is no valid address to mine to only localhost:3333 and thats not a valid address.
and some people are already mining at the pool so i guess its a scam  Undecided

managed to connect to the pool on a guess floripacoin.com.br:3333 (instead of localhost, which somehow still hasn't been fixed?)
but couldn't get the wallet to sync.   Sometimes this happens on launch though no biggy.   Left it running over night on the pool instead of solo.   12 hours later, 16,629 shares, and nothing to show for it  Angry

Finally today got the wallet to sync this morning after a long battle with tweaks mentioned above.  Now it says the block count is 197 instead of the pool 1952.  So.. the pool forked at like 600khs?Huh?

I'm not sure someone may have just 'started it over'

Without being able to see the source anything is possible.

If someone did restart it and the "developer' ??
hardcoded future checkpoints in the client it's going to 'get stuck' when the block height gets to that point ....
