The Ballet Post Halving 6.25+BTC Block is available for purchase at https://www.balletcrypto.com/en/block/
Ballet is using the same advanced titanium for these blocks as they used for the Pre Halving Bitcoin Blocks.
Some of the features of this collectible are as follows:
- Bitcoin Blocks contain the entire coinbase reward of a newly-mined block. This includes both the base block reward of 6.25 BTC as well as all transaction fees mined in that block.
- The bitcoins come straight from our mining pool partner, mined directly from the coinbase transaction in each block, straight to your physical Bitcoin Block, with no intermediate hops. These bitcoins have no prior transaction history, and thus provide the highest level of privacy.
- Bitcoin Blocks are physical bearer assets, with no external dependencies such as passwords or third-party accounts. Whoever has physical possession of the Bitcoin Block controls the funds.
- Bitcoin Blocks are made using Ballet’s innovative Two-Factor Key Generation (2FKG) process, which utilizes the industry standard BIP38 process to split the private key into two components (the BIP38 passphrase and the encrypted private key). Blocks are manufactured in two separate steps in two different locations around the world. This provides what we consider to be the highest level of private key security for the customer.

I wish I had that much disposable cash! These are very cool! Could you imagine having one of these around 10 years from now? 20 years?
The only thing I noticed in actual photos are that the block number and reward amount are stickers vs being engraved - is there an option to receive it engraved vs stickers?

@bobbyclee mentioned there was the possibility of engraving in the thread for the pre-halving Bitcoin Block so that option may still be open: It’s also important to note that the stickers are optional, and people can choose whether they want to apply them or not depending on the aesthetic they want. And, we can also offer an option to laser etch the information onto the blocks, but this method would require you to bring the loaded Bitcoin Block to our facilities in Las Vegas. (If there's interest in this, we can recommend some trusted couriers to help you transport the Blocks back and forth.)

The only thing that would make it greater would be if you could load your own block on it vs a block from the pool they are working with. but then you would also have to hit a block too! or if they sold them blank so that you could buy now, and then use the courier service to take to them when you did hit a block.

Yeah this is tempting, love the idea of having a virgin block all to myself! Also love I take a lot less risk than usual shipping to Australia!

Once borders open.... you can always use a courier. Yeah I think I probably will, especially if I buy something like that 5BTC Cas/Lealana hybrid that came up a month or so ago. That or meet half way in Hawaii Problem is I don't think Australia will be opening borders anytime soon, we have mostly beaten COVID, don't think the government will chance it given how badly lots of other places are doing. I wouldn't be surprised if we are still closed this time next year.

Are any numbers available for the number minted? Is there a max total that will be made, or just however many are ordered? Is it possible to know how many of the 12.5's were made?

Yes, if you bring your Bitcoin Block back to our facility in Las Vegas, we'll be happy to laser engrave the block details (height & amount) on it for you. The criteria is that we cannot take responsibility for shipping it once it's loaded, so that's why you'll need to deliver & pickup in Las Vegas.

(typo edit: "change" => "chance") In the small chance that there's a misunderstanding about our delivery process for the Bitcoin Block, let me clarify for everyone: Once you've purchased and paid for the Bitcoin Block, we ship the block to you as empty. (So Australia is no problem at all.) And then once you confirm for us that you've received the block, then your block gets queued for mining. thanks, Bobby

No, we don't have an artificial cap for the 6.25+ BTC Bitcoin Blocks. However, in practice, there is a limit, as these blocks can only be made until the next halving to 3.125+ BTC. For the last batch before the halving, we sold 24 of the 12.5+ BTC Blocks. (Those serial numbers were: AA013001 through AA013024.) Hope that helps! thanks, Bobby

Just wish I had enough to purchase one and yet couldnt even afford the deposit when they first came out. Looking to go small and purchase the ballet cards instead. Let me know if I make a bulk purchase (pack of 4 of those 24k gold wallets) if you can give me a discount, will you? Or even if you could load/sign them like you did for the ones up for auction here when this block wallet came out. Will be waiting for your pm Bobby!

Very awesome item. But I think I'll wait until the third next halvening when I can maybe afford this. Only 12 years to go.

Just to clarify on one point: The next halving is some ~4 years away, and though the current Bitcoin Blocks (6.25+ BTC) are not technically limited in production, we CANNOT commit to having them for sale indefinitely. If the orders keep coming in, then of course we would like to keep selling them for the next ~4 years. However, these are highly-priced collector pieces, and the demand is limited.... so it's very likely we'll stop production and sales at some time well ahead of the next block halving. This means that if you have an intention to buy the current 4-star Bitcoin Block, then please don't make the mistake of waiting 1-2 years, expecting to be able to buy one. It may not be available by then. Just FYI. thanks, Bobby

I have been trying to get some of the big miners I know to get one of these - most of them are not keen on having that much money tied into one thing though lol
If I had the BTC though to spare, I would have one for sure.
glws!

That is not accurate. I asked you not to comment every time I bump a thread. I told you I appreciated your enthusiasm and just asked you to pump the brakes because you are a serial poster. The reason was I finally said something was because the comment here before you changed it to what I quoted, was basically the same as this post: I have been trying to get some of the big miners I know to get one of these - most of them are not keen on having that much money tied into one thing though lol

The only difference was you started it with "any luck?" ....and yes, there have been sales.
