I loathe Mircea Popescu. I wish this person no harm however.
I believe in Bitcoin and shudder when I see maniacs like this taking centre stage for all the wrong reasons.
THIS is why your parents warn you away from talking to strangers. It's to avoid danger, no less.
Mircea Popescu proffers not your acceptance, but commands centre stage. Eek!
Wake up. Smell the ashes. Fight to protect your own decisions and remove the decision making process from manipulators like Mircea Popescu.
Honestly, just think twice about accepting the kinda stuff these people tell you. Bitcoin or not.
The Feds are hunting Mircea Popescu and ironically this very person who has trolled all the Bitcoin startups is finally getting his come-upance. It's poetry in motion and not even Mircea is able to talk his way out of this one.

I don't want to shout it out too loud though. I want to engage discussion. We, as a community, need to stand up against potential dictators. Are we not supposed to be all about decentralisation? If so, let's commit to that very concept when it comes to choosing leadership. Bitcoin is becoming very powerful and power corrupts, like it or not. We have a duty of care to protect ourselves and each other, and ensure that the bitcoin code prevents such ills. Bitcoin will only ever succeed if we allow it to do what it is meant to do. In my view, it is only a matter of time until we all hand over trust to mathematics. I can't wait! |
