An interesting news article popped up on my news feed about a new ad from New Zealand .
The purpose of the advert is teach children and their parents about on line porn. It’s done in a semi serious semi funny way to let everyone know the key issues, dangers etc of the online environment.
I think it does the job well, what do you think ?

As a small-time pornographer myself, I agree with everything this video says. It raises an issue that I've wanted to see discussed for some time now, namely that porn isn't real, and neither are the people in it. They're just actors playing a role in a work of fiction, and like all fiction it is crafted purely for entertainment value without regard for real-life considerations. Which is not to say that porn is bad or even that adolescents shouldn't be watching it, but people (especially adolescents and their parents) need to understand that learning about sex from porn is like learning about gun safety from action movies and only slightly less dangerous.

Unfortunately, I expect the message to be completely lost on those who most need it, namely Americans, but I feel like America's a lost cause at this point.

Being a parent we need this advertising ,Thanks for sharing mate .

We already knew the spread and the easiness of using Porn over internet so having this will prevent or lessen the chance of our children to be involved in this.

They shouldn't be promoting porn at all. You are vulnerable to evil spirits  (especially "spirit of lust) by having sexual intercourse with those with the spirit. GOD dwells in holy people(HIS temples)... Who would allow GOD (HIS master) to share thesame temple with evil spirit? By the way, it violate GOD's requirement that we should be virgins until marriage. Children (esp the first ones) born by virgins living in holiness are very important to GOD.
If you are having sexual intercourse in sin and outside of GOD's protection, you will be vulnerable to having children of the "evil one" because you are under his bondage.

Either way, as a parent, I prefer to use multiple safe browsing filters as a means to block negative or unsafe content online. At home, we use Google WiFi for my children to connect online at home, so I could monitor they're browsing history for some irregularities. It also has the option to manually configure which websites and content for your children to avoid accessing through our home network.

Social media, mass media and other types of media can easily be accessed by children these days. If the parents wont be careful and watchful with their kids, they could trigger their own curiosity that will lead them to watch porn.

I agree. It's always up to the parents regarding how they'd like to limit and/or prevent these sort of things from happening inside they're homes. Granted that these parents are fully aware and are techy enough at least, to figure out what's really best to do, in order to prevent these sort of things to be viewed accidentally by their children.

Kids  are always gonna find porn on the internet - you can try to safe guard them , but it’s not always possible .
The important point IMHO , is trying to explain the difference between porn and sex. If you go through life imagining every sexual partner you meet is a porn star - you’re not gonna get a healthy relationship. There is a huge difference between fantasy and reality.

Granted that these parents are fully aware and are techy enough at least, to figure out what's really best to do, in order to prevent these sort of things to be viewed accidentally by their children.

That is why television shows have a rating and even the films.

Best education and awareness start from home and it's the parent's duty to monitor their children what they've been looking at and what are things that makes them curious. We became child and we know that this is a serious thing.

Explaining Sex and Porn is something that serious matter to discuss and this must be done with complete family members.

But i will still be in checking their friends and letting them feel that i am a friend and they can tell me everything.

I think the children always should not use the internet so that they can little brows the different porn site to protect kids. make sure that the children not only use the internet but also play outside from the room and from the virtual life for the healthy life

As a parent, you are the primary caregivers and teachers of your children, up until such time that they can decide and understand better for themselves. But until then, parents should be there to monitor and explain to their children regarding what's allowed or not, including what's more important or not to focus on while they're growing up.

This is good advertisement for awareness.

I think inappropriate things could be reduced to a safe level if the internet is restructured in a way to allow users have a say in the kind of things/products/services they use or things they are fed with. Companies that provide services on the internet really need to be transparent, open-source, accountable, decentralized, consensus-driven, guided by rules etc. Lots of the evil pass through because people are kept in the dark.

This is more a remainder to parent that keep an eye on the kid and should be always open to speak to them at appropriate age. Kids are smart and will find some or other way to watch it. So, this is what the purpose of the ads is that also for KID to be aware about it and if caught it would be like red faced like that kid in the ad.

Websites make money only through ads so they are not going to stop no matter what is the reason for them to stop and government also can't do much about it because internet is a place where nothing can be controlled.On reputed sites these kind of ads will be removed if we report them otherwise we need to block the websites manually.
