Are you talking about Blockchain.com? Damn that got me confused at first. If the choices were limited to the two, then Coinbase. It offers a lot more ways to buy/sell/withdraw BTC. AFAIK, Blockchain only offers transactions through crypto, so coinbase is a lot easier for beginners. But, if you're just going to receive/hodl Bitcoin, feel free to use Blockchain.

If the options weren't limited to the two, I'd mention hardware wallets. It's one of the most secure ways to store your cryptocurrency, though you receiving more Bitcoin may prove to be a hassle, it at least provides guaranteed safety from online attacks.

Best, it is hard to say which one is the best bitcoin wallet. Each person has different need on wallet usecase so their best wallet will be different.

There are some good candidates for best bitcoin wallets:
- Bitcoin Core
- Electrum

The best bitcoin online wallet is, well, not an online wallet. There's just so much risks with holding funds on online wallets that it really isn't worth it.

If you only have like $50 in bitcoin though, go ahead, the Blockchain.com wallet should be fine if you won't lose sleep if it so happens that you lose your funds. If you own a good amount of money on bitcoin though, definitely go for a reputable hardware wallet like the Ledger or Trezor.

For me the best bitcoin wallet is any hardware wallet, you shouldnuse any online wallet if you are finding for security and safety of your money. Hardware wallet is a very great eallet to use because it is not prone from attacks because there is no way for havkers to access your account once you are using a hardware wallet. Online waallet is prone from atracks because it uses internet.

I wouldn't exchange security for convenience, but hey.. I'm not you. Maybe you have little amounts of btc and you don't care about them so much, yet I don't see why you wouldn't use a more secure wallet like a mobile one. I think that bitcoin website has a good list of wallets with their features: bitcoin. org

Do not entrust your precious holdings to a third-party that is not covered by a financial authority.

Esentially: paper or hardware wallet for maximum security, mobile or pc wallet for decent security and a good rate of convenience and web wallets are for newbies who don't know how to operate on a software wallet - which is IMO a silly excuse.

As most of them have mentioned Online/web wallets are not safe to hold bigger funds so at least consider using a mobile/desktop wallet if you are not planning to buy a hardware wallet. When choosing a Wallet, it always better to choose a non-custodial wallet rather than custodial wallets where a third party controls your funds. For good Bitcoin wallets, check here - https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

In able to store your bitcoin, you need a bitcoin wallet. Sometimes storing in bitcoin wallets are unsafe because of some hackers. That is why many people are also using hardware wallet. It is more safe for them to use because it does not use an internet so its hard to be hacked. The only reason why online wallet is being hacked is because it uses an internent connection.

Many investors are just using hardware wallet for their coins. Through hardware wallet they are able to make trasactions offline, it do not requires security that gives risk for online exchanges and transactions.

In a hardware wallet, the private informations are being stored in a secured hardware device. It is one special type of wallet. A hardware wallet has many more advantages aside form it is hard to be hacked and impossible to lose your money.

I will personally advise you to have hardware wallet like Trezor, Ledger, Keepkey for storing Bitcoin. Online wallet is not good choice to store bitcoin for long term holding. There is a slogan: "your keys, your Bitcoin. Not your keys, not your Bitcoin". If you want to buy or sell bitcoin only use exchange online wallet. Coinbase has high fee, you can try other exchange site for lower fee.

Is there no way to change your mind with options?

There is a lot out there and if you want to keep it for a long time then I propose a wallet that is not an online base or just a website.
Something which you will need installation and you could do it offline to increase security.
That way, you could also say you really own that bitcoin and not just a number which you see in an exchange.

They have given you choices above me.
But I do prefer Electrum which in my view is user-friendly.
Been using it for a long time and got no problem at all.

It depends on what you're using Bitcoin for. If you're a trader I'd suggest Binance for you; considering the fact that it has the lowest transaction fee. Couple with the fact that you can withdraw Up to 2 Bitcoins per day without KYC.

If you're buying for a long-term usage like holding and withdrawing bit by bit I'd suggest you store them in a hardware wallets to be on a safer side.

Don't ever store on an exchange wallet even though how trusted it was, there is still risk that they might runaway or announce bankruptcy if ever some major security breach happened to them, No one knows what will gonna happened in the future. The greatest example on this one was the Mt.Gox exchange which is the most trusted exchange during there time and until now, they never refund the assets of there user even though the owner is in the jail.

Hardware wallet is still the best for holding bitcoin in the long term if the user are holding for there savings in the future.

Select Bitcoin wallets that are open-sourced, when I started to own Bitcoin before, I tried Coinomi wallet (https://www.coinomi.com/en/).
This cryptocurrency is good for any cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin.
Speaking of blockchain.info or coinbase, you can avoid that kind of wallet since you don't own your private keys there. So, coinbase or blockchain.info still got your bitcoins, you are trusting your bitcoins to them.

Having support for Bench32 addresses is one of things to consider: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bech32_adoption.

Best bitcoin wallets don't let users get troubles without Bench32 adoption.  Cheesy

There is no one answer in my opinion. It depends on what you want to do with your bitcoin.

Regular transfers
If you want to receive and send Bitcoin regularly, Electrum wallet is definitely recommended.

Cold Wallet
If you want to store Bitcoin on a long-term basis, I would rely on a hardware wallet. Trezor or Ledger are highly recommended.

Mobile
If you are looking for a mobile wallet, then BRD wallet is recommended.

Under no circumstances I would rely on online wallets and paper wallets.

I suggest you search first before creating a new thread. Literally dozens of discussion has been made around this topic. Saves you some time and most of the time you'll see the same answer. Coinbase is more like an exchange btw, don't use them as your main wallet. Blockchain on the other hand is buggy.

Holding for long isn't suitable for online wallets and exchanges like those that you have mentioned. There were incidents that happened in the past for custodial wallets and exchanges so that doesn't a good decision if you ever want to keep your bitcoins on those wallets. And blockchain.com wallet is very known for bugs.

You don't control your funds there because they are the ones that have the control.

As they suggest, electrum, ledger or trezor are the best choices.

When someone asks a question like this after a year on a crypto forum then I can only comment that someone has a big problem.

But let's go back to the question already asked a thousand times, but maybe expand it to the general question "which crypto wallet is the best"? In some cases, those users who keep their crypto on online wallets (who have a solid reputation) may be safer than those who do the same thing with desktop/mobile /hardware wallets. Here again, we can draw a parallel between how much these users even perceive phishing as one of the most common ways to hack online wallets compared to understanding the fact that the seed or private key we get through a hardware/desktop wallet is not something to scatter around.

The perception is still on the side that online wallets are insecure due to the fact that the user does not have absolute control over their funds which is really true, but I think that top crypto exchanges have raised the level of security to such an extent that most user funds are in cold storage ( Coinbase - 98%).

Yet as secure as they are in any respect, online storage is the complete opposite of the decentralization that has resulted from the idea of creating Bitcoin. If our crypto banks come under the control of most of the BTC, then we may end up in a situation where any government freezes those same funds under any pretext.

The conclusion is very simple, if you are not ready to be your own bank, don’t even use Bitcoin.

Actually you aren't only asking to choose best online wallet but also you are risking your funds as well. Because to holding funds online wallet isn't suggested with any cost. Its prevent the main goal of bitcoin like financial freedom like they would ask KYC. There is a popular sentence, "Your private key, your Bitcoin" and fortunately any online or web wallet will never give you access of private keys. Anytime they would able to block your account. If really you want to be your own bank then you should choose a non-custodial wallet. Better option is you may buy Hardware wallet if you can afford. Otherwise I will suggest for SPV wallet like Electrum if you are unable to download full node for bitcoin core.

Whatever you choose wallet don't forget to write and save your seed to multiple place to recover your fund in case your if lost or damage your device.

What you asked for wasn't a hardware wallet type but a web wallet and this is not appropriate because many have regretted their actions of using this types of wallets. For the safety of your coins and tokens you should store up your assets on the hardware wallet. But for your demands purpose, I will recommend this bitcoin wallet which is far different from those without security: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet. Please ensure you play safe with your assets on wallets.
