How to accumulate activity?

Hi guys. I am looking to build up my account to eventually become a senior member, or a higher status. I know from reading other threads that you can get activity by posting, once per post. Are there any other ways of getting activity, or is it just through posting?

You can only gain activity through posting. 1 post = 1 activity point and you can only gain up to 14 in every 14 day period (they start on a Tuesday of every other week).. You're better off looking in meta for the stickied threads than asking here though...

There's no other way you can get activiry other than posting. As above said, you will get 14 activity maximum in a 14 day activity period. There is no other way to gain activity the only thing is just a post a thread, but still always be constructive and aim for the quality of the content not just you are wanting to get the specific activity you want.

Why are you attempting to get to Sr. Member rank in the first place? Unless you're after the signature campaigns - which would be bad if you were hoping for an easy "job" - there isn't much benefit to ranking up apart from lowered post times, which are usually low enough when you get into Jr. Member status or when you buy a Copper Membership.

If your aim is to rank up to join a signature campaign, let it be known that you should maintain your post quality. No one wants someone who is only here to spam the forum for their own benefit.

You didn't explain reason why you want to build up your account and to become senior member.
Forum rank isn’t really important on this forum unless you’re thinking about signature campaigns.
If this is the reason for your question I advise you to focus on how to contribute to this forum or help other members because for progress in this forum it's much more important than the activity and the number of posts.
The sooner you understand this and start applying it the sooner you will progress on this forum and gain the respect and trust of other members.

Your information was outdated, yes you can get some activity but it doesn't mean you'll rank up as the merit system was already implemented, and you are  entitled with it. This will help you understand more - Merit & new rank requirements.

It takes a long time and a consistent effort. You need a genuine interest in participating here and learning the subject matter in order to maintain an active presence here.

Activity is a lesser requirement next to Merits, since the Merit System kicked-in, and most people are stuck either waiting for their first merit, or having enough merits to reach their next rank.

As an example, this is the current status of users that are currently Full members, have earned at least 1 merit, and are in the pipeline to reach Sr. Member (your minimal declared target):

The vast majority have reached the required Activity, but lack sufficient Merits, so the latter is generally most difficult to achieve. There are bags more that have not earned a single Merit yet.

It's quite right that accumulating activity alone will not help you to rank up and reach Sr. member rank as what you want.
You have to balance the activity and the merit required in able to rank up, a new system that implemented to filter spam and farming huge accounts.

If you really want to achieve that goal, spend more time reading in the forum and forget for a while how you will rank instead of how to learn and follow/adopt forum rules. Later on, when you are fully educated, rank up requirements such as merit and activity aren't a barrier to your goal.

Effort + patient = goals achieve

Activity is not a problem since once you have enough posts and if their quality is low you will get the rank.
Managers delete posts that are spam, but you need to move away from spam until your account is not banned.

The hardest part is getting enough merits which is impossible with low-quality posts and more difficult with medium-quality posts. So try to learn to make the post quality higher.

Work hard and everything will be easy.
