Apart from being unable to freely sell your coins when the staking period hasn't ended, there are some other risks, like you need to give your assets to 3rd party, and that's really too risky.

I still use Binance and several other exchanges to convert crypto to fiat and vice versa. But to force me to completely trust and hand over assets of great value like BTC or ETH to them to stake, I really can't trust them. Although investing and holding won't get as high returns as staking, I would choose to invest and hold in my cold wallet than give my assets to someone.

The point is valid as you should always understand that matter, "not your wallet means not your coin" and regarding to that open case we also need to be careful as we don't know how the turn of events will affect your investment in case you stake your coin in that particular exchange, we never know how far SEC will really push the case against them.

Guys, just be careful with this. Many scammers are saying the same thing trying to convince you to start playing their games. There are incredible gains you can make from.staking for long term, if you can find a very good project at it's early stage and you buy them for cheap price, you can split your bags into two and stake half for the long term and hold the other half for profit taking purposes, there are some people who missed taking profits in the bull market because their staking are still locked, it's better not to stake with all your bags.

Staking contains more risks, because you need to lock coins on some platform for a long period.
