Over the past year we have been improving our services and network, and have also built our own datacenter. Despite it being rather small when compared to the web hosting giants, we are proud that we’re independent and that we have achieved this on our own. Q: Do you really ignore DMCA?
A: Fully. If we get a DMCA complaint, it will be ignored. In more serious cases we may forward the complaint to you, and you can decide whether to comply or not. Please note that we ignore DMCA. We will still need to comply with any complaint that’s based on EU laws.
Q: Can I send spam?
A: Absolutely no! We try to keep our IPs clean and will not tolerate spam originating from our network. While we understand that you may sometimes be listed in blacklists without legitimate reason, we’ll look at each case individually. Spamhaus, in particular, is a big no-no due to their listing practices. If you’re listed there, we’ll have to suspend your service until we can establish cause of the issue. We will, however, help you to fix it if the listing is unfair and unnecessary.
Q: Do you offer DDoS protection?
A: DDoS protection is available as an addon. It’s not included in the standard plans due to the associated costs, but we’re constantly investing in our network and hope that anti-DDoS solution will be available by default to everyone at some point.
Q: Where are your servers located?
A: Private datacenter in the UK. We have additional locations available in France and the US. However, those datacenters are not owned by us, and we would have less control over the allowed content - if the French or US datacenter asks to remove content, we’ll have to agree. This would mean we will migrate the account to our UK location which we have 100% control over. Please note that we’re not able to ignore DMCA in the US location for obvious reasons.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Currently we accept PayPal, Bitcoin, Credit/Debit cards, Skrill (formerly Moneybookers) and PerfectMoney. For larger orders, we’re also happy to take UK bank transfer, Western Union and MoneyGram.
Q: Can I get a discount or review copy?
A: Absolutely! We have 5 accounts to give away for shared hosting and 5 for VPS. This means that you get your first month for free (well, in exchange for your review). After the first month you can continue to use the service at 50% off for the life of your plan. The review copies are only available for Jr VIPs or higher. If there are no review copies left, we have discounted plans available - simply use the promo code BHW25 to get 25% off any shared, VPS or dedicated server plan for the first month.
Q: Any other special offers?
A: Yes! First 30 orders of Advanced or Ultimate shared hosting, as well as any VPS plan qualify for a free .com domain name. Domain will be active as long as the hosting (Either shared or VPS) plan remains active. Q: Other companies are offering cheaper deals. Why are you charging me more?
A: Other companies do not offer many of the things we do. Companies that offer ridiculously cheap plans fail in the first two years, and sometimes you don’t even get a chance to get your data before they’re gone. We’re not overselling and are actively investing nearly all profits back into our infrastructure. This is why our prices might be slightly higher than those offered by others. However, you can be sure that you will receive top quality service and unmatched support.
Q: Do you offer 24 hour support, 7 days a week, 365 days a year?
A: I’ve expanded the question on purpose. We did have support issues in the past, which I am not afraid to admit. However, this has changed considerably as we’ve hired additional support staff, which means that there will always be someone to assist you with any issue you might encounter.
