I think ethereum has all chances to reach even 500$ per coin when there will be Ethereum 2.0 update and PoS mechanism added. This cryptocurrency was on the second cmc position very long time and it shows that community are interested in this asset

yeah, hope that will happen soon. at the moment ethereum's price hasn't even exceeded $ 250, and it's still trying to. however, the price of $ 300 is what we believe in, it's just that we don't know when it will be achieved. I don't think we're anywhere near $300 at the moment.

Ethereum has struggled to hold even $250 for the last three months, and it only recently just broke above $200 after tensions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic died down.

I believe ether will stabilize at its current price point until we get closer to ETH 2.0. Then we'll probably see a Cardano-esque pump, simply due to the hype that appears surrounding the new update.

That said, I do expect the update will be delayed until late 2020, so we'll probably have to hold off until then.

We still don't know if Ethereum will really hit the 300$ and besides I agree with @Dr.Osh, it can't even touch or surpass the price of 250$ in the last couple of weeks but the current price of Ethereum right now is around 242$, and it nearly to hit the 250$. But of course, it's possible that Ethereum will hit the 300$. And probably, the Ethereum 2.0 will definitely bring hype on its price so we just need to wait until they launch it.

I think Ethereum has a huge chance to increase its price up to $300 before the end of the year of 2020 because I see a lot of altcoins had already improve its price from the beginning of 2020, especially bitcoin after halving occured. Since Ethereum is a top coin next to bitcoin, it is expected that ETH will make this kind of improvement to its value.

There is no impossible in crypto currency price especially ethereum which is coin that has been increasing since january 2020. I'm still remember, a few months ago its price has decreased a lot even its price touch its lower price at this year fell less then $190 if I'm not mistaken. And I bought a few of this coin and sold it when its price touch $275 a few weeks ago. This coin is really potential, I like the creator of this coin and yeah I hope this coin will pass $300 in a few weeks ahead. At this year this coin has  risen to $288 it means we just need $12 left for this coin touch $300.

It will go to that price, but before we see that price, we need to be patient because ethereum price seems hard to increase and break $250-$275. Perhaps, ethereum just wait for the next high price of bitcoin, so ethereum can follow behind of ethereum to increase. If that happens, then I am sure that it is not difficult for ethereum to grow, and the price itself will be more than $300. But you still need to be careful because the ethereum price can get down again. After all, the bitcoin price is not stable at the moment. So if you see the ethereum price is down again for more than $230, perhaps, that will be a good price to buy again.

I kind of see a resemblance on how the price of bitcoin is struggling to stay afloat $10k the same situation with ETH as it is struggling to break the resistance, if the price of bitcoin is able to break the resistance then it will have an impact on the entire altcoin market and ETH could break the barrier and move towards $300. It all depends upon the global market situation as it will have an impact on the cryptocurrency market as well and if everything is smooth sailing then we can assume that it is going towards $300 and further.

I don't see that happening next month since ETH has been staying less than $250 this past 2 months and if you look at the price history, they just followed Bitcoins movement. Unless Bitcoin were to pump next month, then we'll still be seeing below $300 in the future. Ethereum 2.0 is still faraway which is very anticipated by a lot of people which might be the way to $300.
