Hello Crypto-lovers,
I came across Pi Network where one can mine Pi network's coin with their mobile easily. This is really fantastic and as many of us use smartphones, it will be easy for those interested to mine some Pi coins easily without any hassle. I am posting some of the information about Pi Network in here where you can get enough information to start mining immediately.

 Preface

As the world becomes increasingly digital, cryptocurrency is a next natural step in the evolution of money. Pi is the first digital currency for everyday people, representing a major step forward in the adoption of cryptocurrency worldwide.

Pi Network's Mission: Build a cryptocurrency and smart contracts platform secured and operated by everyday people.

Pi Network's Vision: Build the world’s most inclusive peer-to-peer marketplace, fueled by Pi, the world’s most widely used cryptocurrency
(copied from Pi Network's website)

Basic introduction:-

This is a real project by a team of Stanford graduates. The core team includes two Stanford PhDs and one Stanford MBA and also they have helped to make Stanford's blockchain community. Their vision is to make Pi cryptocurrency extremely useful for everyone in their daily life.

Value of Pi network's coin: At the moment, it is not officially listed on any exchange and the team is still working in fully developing the infrastructure for this currency. There has been more than 1 million downloads (google app store) so far. At this moment, no one cash it out as each PI's value is 0 dollar/euro just like BTC in 2008  Grin!

Advantages:-

The app from this project is really easy to use. One can mine PI coin easily. App has small size which does not consume enough RAM spaces to slow down your devices. The team is fixing bugs regularly to make sure the app is perfectly working on supported devices. To know more details like algorithm they are using, roadmap, etc kindly check their white paper https://minepi.com/white-paper .

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Beware, there are very strong signals that Pi network is an elaborate scam: you don't own those coins until you are allowed to withdraw, and that moment could bring a lot of surprises (KYC, fees from your pocket and so on), also the coin is not listed, meaning that the final value will most probably not be the one the team claims to be.

You do have a valid point in here. I will keep eye on that and as soon as there is any more information about it, I will post here. No way I am going to give my information or any fees and I hope everyone will not do so. Everyone should protect their information, privacy as well as money. So far it is just downloading and mining through mobile, so it doesn't hurt to try it. If it turns out to be ugly later on, then one can always uninstall the app.
Thank you again for raising awareness Smiley

Don't bother, you're probably one of the last suckers. This pyramid scheme has been around a while
so it's assumed everyone already knows about it.

The enlarged coloured text should have been your first of many clues. Consider it a lesson learned.

Thanks for your good words like suckers. Did this pyramid scheme scam anyone so far? maybe you were scammed. Please share your experience if you have any. There are allegations and many do doubt about this project and so do I (you should have known this if you had read the comments above nicely) but it is yet to be seen whether it is going to be a scam or a true project. Have a good day!!

Well, this is way of respecting others' opinion. You could have been polite in representing your thoughts at the first place. Also you could point out some of the red flags. I have gone through all the arguments in this thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5237735.0 If you have something to add, I would be happy to hear it out.

I just want to make it clear to everyone whoever is reading this.
I am not endorsing Pi Network in anyway. I have my doubts as well. Everyone can decide for themselves and choose to whether or not to download it. It can turn out to be a gem or garbage which I don't know at this moment, only future can tell this. I am taking my chances here.
