VeChain to be used to verifiy authenticity of Nike Shoes

For sneaker heads out there, Vechain, a blockchain based traceability platform will be used to authenticate the limited edition of Nike Air Max that will be released on the 28th of this month. Customers and retailers can check everything by scanning the QR code on the original Nike shoes and see if it is genuine or not.

This is what we need. Adoption, acceptance and use case. There are still many who confuse differentiate between crypto currency and blockchain technology. There are still many who think that crypto (blockchain) = bitcoin. Things like this (tweet above), should often be echoed and made as the "main selling". That blockchain technology will be very useful for our life. And it will surely eliminate those fake shoes globally, which I think is the biggest problem that will be solved in this is going to be successful and Nike started to adopt it specially, with their high end shoes. And if you are a reseller or a buyer, you're not going to be suspicious and probably willing to pay huge amount if you yourself can authenticate it through blockchain.

Unlike today, wherein there are companies that supposedly an expert and authenticate it for you. But sometimes fake shoes are a bit tricky just be looking at it.

Finishing off with the detailing. The tongue has an embroidery tag of the triple flavour ice cream in a cone, embedded inside the tongue is the VeChain authentication chip. Chocolate leather lines the inside with a waffle print insole. The ‘Cherry on top’ (or heel) feature is a cherry motif embroidery.

So if you have bought the shoes, there will be a chip inside that will authenticate it in the VeChain network. So this chip is encrypted containing that unique ID to say that your shoes is really real and not fake. And to authenticate it, you need to download VeChain apps on your phone.

VeChain is planning to change the Retail business and with the green signal in China mainland there's nothing that could stop them. They have a headstart and now a legal boost inside China that would let them expand without limitation and the only limiting factor would be their own capacity and marketing.

It would have been nice if Nike had used that, but unfortunately that is not the case. It was used by Chase Shiel. He makes customized shoes. For this case he used Nike Air Max.
But it is true that it makes sense to use VeChain for limited edition releases.

This is absolutely excellent, adoption of blockchain technology to develop brands of products as will surely sideline the scam effect of cryptocurrency as many people think. I believe this incident would spike the price of Vechain in future.

Blockchain is different from Defi, companies start using it because they are data centeral that are recorded and cannot be erased or deleted except with the consent of all members of the network.

Oh yes, Nike would be amazing if they will be the one that's going to apply the technology. But still good for Chase if they are the ones that are going to use the blockchain technology for this use case. And certain technologies like Vechain although, this is an altcoin and others don't see that the technology that they have can be used for such, be happy to it that there is news like this. What if we get more of this from prominent companies which can trigger the massive adoption.
