Many people fall victim to a hack and this causes them to lose all of their cryptocurrencies
But how do the hackers enter the wallets that have a very high level of security?
Unfortunately, it depends on the ignorance of some people, not on software methods.
For example: When a message arrives in an e-mail requesting the private key, many beginners will respond to this message and send their key, which is really sad.

Here are some instructions that might help beginners:
1- Save your private key in an offline device
2- Distribute your cryptocurrencies to several govern orates to avoid losing all of them if one of the wallets is hacked
3- Do not reply to any message from an unknown source
4- Create an e-mail address for airdrops and Bounty campaigns

Do you have any other suggestions?

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Not just with the email that contained suspicious links/phishing links. But there are also malware where you can get from uncertified and unlicensed downloading sites. I remembered my experience from signing up from mining websites and then they hacked my email and password and hacked my crypto coins.

So, it is better not to sign up with any websites and prevent using same passwords and emails connected with your crypto coins exchange/wallets.

Check website carefully because many hackers create a phishing website that really identical to the legit website which a newbie can fall for it and also downloading wallet from unknown source is big factor for all the hacking event in crypto.

You can add some of this reason below on your list:
-downloading file that contains malware
-using same email and password to all account
-participating on scam giveaway
-installing app that downloaded on random source(some hackers are inserting malware on a famous app)

If you generate private key from risky sources, chance of your wallet being hacked is high. For example, if you generate private key through bitaddress online, hacker may get access your private key. It is better to use offline method to generate that. There are a lot of ways to be saved. Using offline wallet/ hardware wallet are best.

There are so many hackers in this crypto world, securing our account is really important especially when it is our wallet account that keeps our cryptocurrency, one of the familiar ways of the hackers to gain access to your account is by the fake websites. You should be familiar with what are the legit and fake websites to avoid danger. There are many websites that really look like an original website, you better be observant and do somre research about the website first before trying it or better read some reviews about it.

Fake websites:
1. Grammatically error.
2. In the source link, you may see the word "not secure"
3. If you see something unusual on the link like something dot(.) besides the link, then it is fake websites

Our wallet accounts are the most important thing in this crypto world, we are exploring the crypto world because we want to earn money if our wallet will be hacked then all things that we are doing will be wasted, there are many hackers in the virtual world so you need to have security on your wallet account.

Things you can do to avoid being hacked.
1. Avoid clicking some unusual links on your Gmail or on any platform, especially if it is not important to you, most of the hackers are using links and they will send it through Gmail.
2. Do not download a fake application, before installing the application on your device, you should check it first read some reviews about it.
3. Download updated IOS on your desktop.

1- Save your private key in an offline device
One of the best way and the to store your private keys/ seed phrases is by "encrypting" it before making additional backup that is written maybe on a multiple piece of paper or metal seed plate/storage that is distributed on multiple locations. A simple encryption of your seed phrase allows you to have another layer of security instead of having a list of word phrases that can easily be copied and used to steal all the unspent funds.

This is by far the simplest process where a newbie can follow in storing their keys in an offline storage.

4- Create an e-mail address for airdrops and Bounty campaigns
Or do not join any of them at all. Most airdrops or token bounty related campaigns are just a vaporware and can sometimes compromised your system because it has a possibility that some of the projects will require you to download their own wallet for you to be able to receive their shitcoin.

install premium antivirus examples like Eset (if using a desktop device) because there are so many viruses or malware there that can take over your wallet, why use premium instead of using free? because in my opinion premium antivirus always updates their database about new viruses so that if we are exposed to viruses in the database it can be detected.

Here are my tips about security:
1.Set a really strong password. You can check password at howsecureismypassword.net
Never use one password on all your accounts.

2.Always enable 2-factor authentication.

3.Never talk to strangers online and if you talk, just try social engineering and never reveal real info about yourself.

4.Forget about airdrops. If something is for free, usually you are the product(or the victim). They are a waste of time anyway.

5.Keep private keys offline.I mean duh,you already shared that,it's common sense.

6.Never download anything suspicious and always install some strong Anti-virus program.

7.Use the paid version of a good VPN.The free versions of VPNs aren't very good.

1- Save your private key in an offline device
For this option, we should use a device which is properly secured because anyone can loss their private key by ransomware attack as many of us try to use crack version which are probably risky for device. Also, everyone must use a hardware wallet if he/she can afford to buy it. We can use private cloud service from any reputative company to store private key , not the full key in one account.  Wink

The unfortunate danger of digital or virtual currency is hacking. It happens in many fields due to some mistakes.
There are some black hat hackers in the world who try to harm people through hacking. In other words, hacking is the theft of personal data of a person or an organization or demands money.
They create many phishing websites and many types of applications so that they can be easily hacked. And they will send some messages to your Gmail that can take away your information when clicked. So I would say that the wallet you have to open with Gmail will not use Gmail anywhere else
You can open another Gmail to do something else and be a little safer.

Don't be fooled by those emails that are trying to copy someone or a service that's very particular to a crypto person. They're likely to attract you with sort of bonuses or anything that looks like a giveaway just for you to sign up.

The technique is read the domain of that email and if that's not familiar to you, ignore. But some of those cons are smart as well, they tend to copy almost near to that particular service that they're copying so be cautious of that too.

(...)
I don't think antivirus (premium/non-premium) can help our wallet safe. Antiviruses are only for those viruses or malware which also can be acquired by our own selves or own mistakes/ just being dumb.
The greatest protection for me is being educated and not being dumb, always think twice before clicking anything, especially if you are not familiar with what are you doing.
If you fall into fishing, your antivirus is no use even how much you bought it.

Most of the times, it's as simple as don't talk to strangers about your wealth, don't trust anyone and always take too-good-to-be-true stuff with a very large grain of salt. Honestly, most of these hacks/thefts happen when people either download some infected software hoping to get their Bitcoin doubled or just send the money themselves to some "Elon Musk giveaway" address in hopes that a billionaire would get them rich for free. Nobody would do that.

Then you have some people trading stuff with Newbies or complete strangers without a reputable Escrow. That is literally like leaving a bag of cash somewhere in the city, sending the other party the location of the bag and expecting them to leave a Bitcoin paper wallet there for you. It may or may not work, but if you take the risk then you deserve the loss.

This is the Internet and electronic devices. You have to be extra precautious. Act on the Internet as if you just came into a student dormitory with a large bag of Gold coins in your backpack.

I tend to agree, most probably are those newbies that easily fall in trap by claiming airdrop or whatever free crypto just to access their crypto wallet.
They are lack of knowledge and jumping into crypto space because of hoping to gain profit on it, they never know scammer/hackers are waiting for them to step their trap. Naive and lazy people will commonly a victim of this.

Here are some instructions that might help beginners:
snipped-
Do you have any other suggestions?
  • changing a password twice a month is necessary if you have a huge amount had stored.
  • always escrow when dealing with random people on the internet
others has been replied above.

If user hasn't enable Two-Factor Authentication on email or exchange account then he/she will lost their funds easily.

Back in 2018 I have seen Binance google ads phishing site, I have tested their phishing site on windows and mobile device using Binance account with no funds. Hacker has built so sophisticated phishing site it can steals your 2FA code. I was so surprised by their new way of phishing ideas.

If you are excited to have a transaction in bitcoin, then that's very dangerous for your account. Try to check and improve your security first before you engage in some bitcoin transactions or activities. Beginners are really the most prone in this kind of instances where their accounts are vulnerable to scams.

Mistakes about your wallet will really make you have a huge losses so be more careful in making passwords. Long passwords but easy to remember is enough for you to have a successful and more secured bitcoin wallet. Once you are comfortable with your wallet, and you are not that scared to get hacked or scammed, that will help you to become more confident in making bitcoin as your asset.

The only thing necessary for me to prevent this kind of situation where your wallets are getting hacked is, never used other gadgets or device to access your wallet. That's very risky even if you know the person that owns the device that you are using. Don't trust anyone when it comes to cryptocurrency especially when we talk about digital wallets.

Every beginners or newbies should know the importance of that and they should know how to improve their security. It is easy to make a digital wallet that has a high security, and it depends on you if you will use other gadgets. But if i were you, i will only access my digital wallet only when I'm using my devices.
