On the start in this forum, I don't have enough knowledge and skills, all I just do is read a lot of stuff on this forum by the time goes by I don't want to become a reader only instead I want to share my knowledge too but still, it requires to have a lot of help came from other people to make a correction on my mistakes. Still, with the help of the search engine and internet, it is easier to find the information so we can now prove the information which is becoming more helpful.
I would like to encourage make a lot of research, share your thoughts, give time and effort to learn. For now, some of the improvements I saw is most of the newbies today are making a constructive post and gained merit immediately.

There are a lot of fraud sites and beginners are the people most vulnerable to these sites because they have little experience so they must check any work before starting it and not believe any offers or big profits offered by these sites and we must always check the date of the site creation and proof of payment before starting work with it

The saddest thing is that topics like this have been created dozens of times. And everywhere the theme of reading forum rules for beginners is emphasized. But today's Newbie is either very lazy to learn and understand the rules, or for them to be on the forum is not important, they are in a hurry to make a profit. From here it turns out that they do not disdain plagiarism, begin to spread spam en masse. Only a small fraction of Newbie comes here to study Bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies. It would be great if beginners read these tips.

Welcome to the forum. Take your time to read and evaluate every possible detailed threads about rules and guidelines of the forum. Be wary of scams, don't go around following people promising to double your funds within the shortest period of time, it will likely turn scam at the long run. Ask questions you are not very sure of. The forum is to educate you and guide you, everyone was once a noob like yourself. Learning is a continuous process. Welcome once again. I'd like to emphasize, the word continuous process, it is indeed a continuous process even a high ranking members of this forum must continue to learn new things it is not only for newbies, I myself never think that I already knows everything or many things I still a lot of things to catch up because many things or new knowledge are coming in, the technology is still evolving.

The Bitcoin forum is much different from other forums on the Internet because it offers what others don't have - the possibility of earning money. This makes it a real magnet for many people because who doesn’t want to make money online? I don’t think it’s just realistic to expect from most new members to read forum rules or older posts since they are not interested in it. They are only interested in 1 thing here and that is the possibility of making money and that is a reality that will not change. Of course, there are new members who are really interested in bitcoin or technology, but they are in the minority, I think. I think that there is simply no help here and that we will have a lot more discussions like this.

Newbies should learn that gaining knowledge must be the area of their interest because they will encounter people with bad intentions and their thorough understanding will help them to evade it. There's plenty of scams that sound extremely good to be true and eye-catching, so we have to be wary. As I see it, many of you get easily tricked on because you have not made a great effort on investigating before risking. It is strenuous to start as a newbie, but there's a way to help yourself to move forward.

I think it also comes down to the reason why a newbie comes here from the first place. To earn fast or to learn. Some just wanted to earn fast so they didn't really take time to read, they jump right away to anything they see about earning, and most of them if not all are just scams. They can't really separate scams from legit cause they ain't that knowledgeable in the first place. And I think we all can see if a newbie is here to gain merit from his first few posts. If a newbie comes here to learn, we don't even need to tell them to read cause they will do it even without someone telling them to. They will be silently reading, cause that's the reason they are here, they will start to post as soon as they have something to contribute. And the best way to contribute here is to be knowledgeable.

I don’t think one necessarily has to exclude the other. It is very realistic that all new members (after spending some time on the forum) have the opportunity to earn something and at the same time educate themselves about crypto related things. If a newbie comes here to learn, we don't even need to tell them to read cause they will do it even without someone telling them to. They will be silently reading, cause that's the reason they are here, they will start to post as soon as they have something to contribute. And the best way to contribute here is to be knowledgeable.
The biggest problem, as it seems to me, is that most 'new members' are not actually new members but dozens or hundreds of alt accounts of existing members trying to trick the system. Until there is a way to reliably detect alt accounts and limit the number of alt accounts per user, this forum will become increasingly congested with shit and spam posters.

The purpose of this forum is not about earning profit. Satoshi Nakamoto said it himself that this forum is for sharing and helping other crypto enthusiast about the problem they have experience. Therefore, bitcointalk forum is for discussions and not for earning as some.of the forum members think this is some sort of forum that let you earn income as main income which is not true.

It was true for some who were making dozens (maybe more) alt accounts to make money through sig campaigns. With such an approach, they could comfortably earn more than the average salary in their countries. And that, as it turned out, is one of the main problems on this forum.

Of course, the original purpose of this forum was not to make money, but to gather the bitcoin community, share information, learn etc. However, somewhere along the way that original purpose of the forum was lost and now probably at least 90% of the posts on the forum are written to meet the conditions of the signature campaign The forum is therefore much more active of course but is it good in the long run? I guess it's questions for admins.

What just happened is that the motivation of most members changed. New members keep coming here not because they wanted to become part of the community only but also to try their luck on campaigns. Nonetheless, I don't see anything wrong about sig campaigns. It doesn't deteriorate the forum IMO — the toxic members do. The forum is therefore much more active of course but is it good in the long run? I guess it's questions for admins.
The admins do not have the answer, everything depends on us. Whether there are campaigns/bounties or any kind of opportunity existing or not, the peace and orderliness of this forum depend on how we all behave. That's it .

I agree with you with everything you say, and I see that the most important thing is to read the rules, understand them and adhere to them well, and we must stay away from all the people who make promises and offerings as these people are definitely fraudsters and their goal is to steal and fraud

Hi there, I have made a post the 6th of July regarding an issue with Luckyfish exploiting kids , and I found my post locked today.
Unfortunately I can't stay in this site much as I do not gamble and not really into crypto, I registered purely to have infos and advice which I did not recieve as I was not actually aware so many people are ok with kids gambling.
However I would like to know why my post was locked as I did not have a chance to reply to kind people and wanted to say thanks to them.
Is there a way to unlock my post? How can I contact the admin? Apologies for all this questions but im out of my comfort zone here.

I presume you did not lock the thread yourself, but rather a Moderator or an Admin. It does seem a pretty early lock, so once again you’d have to query a Moderator or an Admin as to the reasons. If you did not lock the thread yourself, you cannot unlock it (you get a message that states "This was locked by an administrator. You cannot unlock it. "), but you can ask a Mod/Admin to reconsider. The Moderatos for the Gambling board are Cyrus and hilariousandco. The Admin (besides Cyrus) is theymos. Scroll any of their profiles to the "Additional Information" section, under which you’ll find the "send this member a personal message" option. Use that to communicate with them.

The goal of establishing this forum is to learn and provide the largest possible number of information and benefit, but first and foremost we need to read the rules and adhere to them well in addition to that we need to read all the posts and topics carefully before giving and presenting an opinion and evaluation of this participation and we must take care of the fraudsters as much We could have mentioned you are always there and waiting for any chance of theft and fraud

Whether there are campaigns/bounties or any kind of opportunity existing or not, the peace and orderliness of this forum depend on how we all behave. That's it . I think you're right. It's probably in some way logical and normal that at the very beginning here on the forum were mostly btc enthusiasts and that no one thought too much about making money. BTC signature campaigns came later and as bitcoin grew so more and more people got involved. As a result, this forum has become more popular and more and more members have joined from all over the world. There is nothing wrong with that, of course, as long as it complies with the rules. But lately there has been a lot of spam, plagiarism, accusations and other things on this forum and that is something that isn't acceptable. We don't need such members and I sincerely hope that most new members will accept the rules of conduct and forum rules and be constructive members.
