The Times newspaper, dated the original date of the Bitcoin whitepaper, October 31st, 2008.  While there's no mention of Bitcoin in the article, I still found it to be a neat collectible for Bitcoin lovers.  I have one and am auctioning the other on Ebay.  Includes box and certificate of authenticity

Starts at $.99, no reserve

Also have a 10-year anniversary paper of The Times.  a bit crinkled, please see the pics:

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I have NEVER heard of this item as a bitcoin collectible.  I'm guessing this will confuse some newbie into thinking it's highly sought after like the 01/03/09 Times.

same. satoshi references headline from jan 3 times in genesis block. there is no reference to oct 31 newspaper anywhere, it just happens to coincide with whitepaper date.

is sep 11, 2001 new york times a collectible? not aware this was a thing.

Just thought it would be interesting to have a 'The Times" released on the same date that the original whitepaper was released, that's all.  Still a neat piece of history if you coincide that date with other artifacts.  But that's just my personal opinion.

I even have a Dallas Cowboys newspaper article from January 3rd, 2009.  Simply because that's the date The Times had the article.  No relevance, and it's not for sale.  But personally I like collecting things based on this.

I don't think there's any confusion to be made.  The pictures show clearly it is not The Times from January 3rd, 2009

It's a free market but that smacks of preying on naivety a bit however it's a neat hook. I may auction the bed I was sleeping in on October 31st 2008 and see what happens. It has a Bitcoin pillow now.
