I think many altcoins have been successful. They are coins that develop their own platform systems, not dependence on other platforms.
But now shitcoins occur on tokens that only rely on third-party smartcontracts. What needs to be developed by those who use smart contracts. There is no. They just make a website, then sell tokens.

   He talks about developers to unite, not alt-coins. There can be some truth in this, if developers join together, the ones
from failed projects, they can come up with some great idea, with their experience they can make something good I guess.

Only if each Dev will think twice. The good ones started to being good and the others started to be what they are today. If the foundation is faulty there is nothing that can become of such project. So what is the purpose for this unity? Just to create bigger shitcoin or mega scam! I don't think we can request any devs out there and take interest in such projects where they would want to collaborate for something good. Know why? Because there isn't single dev who reclaims good projects since few years now. There were initial days when devs were actually into building something greater and useful for the crypto community. Over the period this started declining as they started to have greed for money. They knew one important thing, "people could be scammed easily in crypto industry" and they did it. I don't believe that anyone of them are now willing to work for hours and hours to code a good project that will help humanity. With few exceptions it seems impossible. Have you seen CMC stats? There are 5000+ shitcoins and more or less they are being used as pump-dump coins to earn quick profits. They don't serve real purpose and neither their owner care about it. 

The purpose is to create one sublime network. This network is fast, private, P2P, decentralized, programmable and it pays you just to be in it.

You have to remember that some coins are shitcoins for purpose.

There are teams who understand how crypto ecosystem works but they just want some money out of it. They will never unite unless it's uniting for a bigger and better paying scam.

OP also mentioned cutting supply. Some shitcoins  like BTK did it and still failed.

It is very much possible for projects (altcoins) to actually wake up from slumber as we've seen quite a number of projects rose to success from what can be termed a shitcoin, so this call is actually a good one but then again not all of projects can stop being a shitcoins because most of them wey created with the mindset of remaining a shitcoin for ever

the reality is, developers certainly know what the shortcomings of the project they are developing, and the reason why their coins become shitcoin. Well, it's all because the quality of their project is not good. besides, they can do a variety of strategies to improve this, it's just not easy, and requires some costs. Some developers leave the project because of this. however, professional developers have taken this into account from the start, and have a way to overcome it.

It is our view may be from another person's point of view is different. If they are quality and have a product and are familiar with the potential to become shitcoins it may be reduced to even greater and most sought after.

Besides that, they only want to make money in the short term, so they don't even think about the long term. If they think about creating a new project which is different from the other projects and want to give many benefits to their investor, participants, or traders, they will seriously work for their projects. They will not let their supporters disappointed with their project, and they will work hard to make sure that their project can survive in hard situations.

Indeed. It's a slightly satirical post, but that's exactly what I'm saying. They should not all unite but some of the ambitious devs could quit their project and join other projects to work together to upgrade their projects with these new features that are now available. Too many devs are tied in their own insufficient projects that will never become anything.

They will not let their supporters disappointed with their project, and they will work hard to make sure that their project can survive in hard situations.

It seems only less than 1% of devs are focusing on developing a real world application and all other are just doing only for hunting money; if you develop a honest project to solve some serious problem then you can easily get 10x more money than what you could achieve through a scammy thing. But, unfortunately most devs do not realize this fact and this is the reason we are having more number of shitcoins against one or two real world application based projects and their tokens/coins.

Yes, there are zero possibilities for devs of shitcoins to think about collaborating for an innovative product. They must be lazy people who hunt for easy money; otherwise they would not have opted for ICO or altcoin to lure innocent investors. Limitations may be in terms of costs that have to be spent a lot so that developers can not do anything to increase it only low level able to stand the project and at the end of their tokens to shitcoin because it was abandoned.
It's not as easy as imagined developers always use the funds that have been achieved to advance the project.

I would say they do not actually know. Many of them was thinking "I'm going to make a better Bitcoin than Bitcoin and maybe it will become big because it's slightly better than Bitcoin" Then others who were launching ICO's with ERC-20 tokens were thinking "maybe I can tokenize my product or service and it could give the token value". Nobody knew how it would really turn out because nothing like this has never been done before. Now we see some of the projects growing because they have some actually working user case where the token is somehow very necessary and in increasing demand.

I mean in my experience seeing this shitcoins, it is nice to participate in a way you consider it something like novelty item but then when the wallets stopped working then that is the time things go southward from there. So in a way, the call for the developers of this shitcoins to collaborate will not really happen in my opinion.

So you are one of a dev from those shitcoins you are mentioning? Upgrading or max supply is secondary the primary thing needed for a successful coin will be utility but on most of the shitcoins it was lacking and also they are not developing their project as they proposed in their whitepaper.

Yes, this is a good point. Many of them are just half serious hobbyists with a day job and others really plan to make a career of it. I want to find the people who plant to make a career and these people need to come together and collaborate.

Will My observation is that in every shit coin project. there is always that one person that is brilliant. one or two out of many. the team rally round these guys to built the project. if that particular person leaves the team or project, the collapse is eminent. most times, a shit project that survived the market always has a good team. not just that one developer but a GOOD team that works together to capture the minds of investors.

Calling it shitcoins already have defined what the projects will be even if they are revived, they died as shitcoins and you expect people to invest again on them when they've already turn shit for one reason or the other? No matter how much patches they do on shitcoins it won't come back better

The reason why they are called shitcoins is that they have no utility. They are just Bitcoin clones and they do nothing more. So they have no real usage and nobody invests in them. That's why I'm saying that you can upgrade it and add specified utility.

Even when the shitcoin coins return and gain investors' confidence, they are just junk coins. I think it will immediately pump and dump then will create a bigger landfill than before.

This argument doesn't make sense. If a tech can keep up with the development, fix all the bugs and add the features required to stay in the game, it's not junk. Ethereum is best example of this. It encountered issues in 2018 but it has constantly fixed bugs and upgraded the system to stay in the game.

I'm not claiming all shitcoin is trash, but 90% of shitcoin is not worth the investment.

Nope, you can't certainly think that they will work altogether and get united. They are absolutely running their own business and those devs have their own (stupid) plans. Once their project/coins are shit, it is still shit at all no matter what they do as investors will never think about good for their project but purely a dead one.
We don't need to think and trust them to be good, they are ruining their reputation at once and that is too hard to gain trust back.
But rather to use another identity, maybe they can fool again...
