I am not new in this forum in fact I have been a spammer since the day i made this account. To be honest that was really a mistake or misunderstanding in my part for doing it in this forum. LOL

Well, I made some comparison and found out that some users here were still the same. They are good at reacting violently when one user complains in this section especially the new comers. I have been noticing it when I was new in the forum. I had been seeing a lot of rude replies and they now in high ranks. I envy though I could still commend them for their good deeds.

Sorry admin I was posting this for awareness especially to the likes of me who always complain in this forum before. LoL.

Now that we are in pandemic it seems like some old users i know had been inactive for a while. What could be the reason..I had missed their names reflecting in the replies posts.

Some merits for the try you gave to create something authentic. Concept of the topic does not matter to me. As a community to keep the environment nice, we actually do not encourage users to ask for merits. Imagine users are asking for merits everywhere, it will be a mess.

Actually I am not looking for merits. I just want to see old guys to reply in my post since I was not able to see their replies anymore. I was also posting this post for awareness for the new comers for most likely the new comers were the one to complain most of the time.

And also I am reading and looking for old good guys here especially those active users here always reprimand and defend the forum whenever there were posts regarding complains. I have lost track in them since others had high ranks now but not active anymore.

Where could they be now. Are they having CoVid19 now??LOL

Come on bud, Covid-19 is not a joke. Those who had it, they know how life threatening it is. I really hope the forum members are safe. I have one user in mind who is not online for long time but I wish this is not the reason. He is healthy and safe.

You need to keep this in mind that this a community. There are people around the every corner of the world. Not everyone has same culture, same mindset, same society, same way to grow up. It is expected for everyone to have their own view and opinion and attitude. Life is easier when you have no expectation from others.

You are right, some new members deserve to be treated good but it is also good to be rude to them, it is even not actually rudeness but corrections, stale members wants to them realize their mistakes and not posting the way they like, we have standard ways of posting here, our posts must be authentic and of high quality which stale member like. Instead for newbies to first ask what to do, they ask for how to earn money, how to rank up and how to get merits, these are all wrong, if newbies are polite, they will be treated politely.

In this current times, we really can't say whose the total newbie or just a new account of someone else, I simply understand the rude members, besides we people, who use the internet already know what should we do (searching to be specific) newbie just have to read, search then ask if they really don't understand or somewhat can't find they're looking for.

Like what I said on my story before, I am also once a spammer, never know how to quote properly, never know how to post properly... Until I learned from the rude people. You just need to be open, set aside the emotions then you will learn.

Right now the only thing that I want to learn is how to create my own blockchain and how really mining works.

• They became bearish on Bitcoin(probably due to a lot of people being impatient about the price) and lost a bit of interest
• They currently don't have a campaign to incentivize from

Forum rank and character of people are 2 very different things 😁
I know some people with low forum rank and very good attitude and know some people here with high forum rank and very bad attitude.
If you see some rude replies just ignore it and move on.
I guess it's nothing we can do it about it but just try to avoid useless discussions in the forum and to connect with positive people.
I also miss some "old members " in this forum and hope they will return.
It's great that you realized your mistakes in the beginning and become more responsible member.
Your story may inspire other young members.

If you are looking for a specific answer you should ask the question in a much more precise way. I know specifically that many have wondered where one member is, but this has been going on for months - but since I am active every day in different parts of the forum I have not noticed that a large number of active forum members are missing.

In addition to all the other reasons for inactivity and the pandemic, some still decided to go on summer holidays and take a break from the forum. If someone is not on the forum for a few weeks, it does not mean that they will not come back.

The forum was changed by the merit system, and the merit system changed the community. The system is created with main targets on spammers and it works - to reduce newly generated accounts, active accounts and ranked-up accounts. There are less accounts in all three categories since the merit system kick-off.

The time-series plot is outdated but things have not changed too much recent months.

Indeed, we all have the same intention here so let us all help each other if there are beginners who are asking something we should answer them appropriately, we should know that they are beginners so they don't know much about the forum, we should give them a guide that will lead them to a good path. Like @ddmrddmr has explained the section you meant, well as a student for example my institution or the group am in brought something up and I had the chance to suggest/complain about it I often get mixed reactions it has become something of notice at every single time, so I concluded in the public always expect that -mixed reaction-

We probably all forget where we started from at one point.

I may not have the highest quality posts, but I guess I have improved over the years and I still keep trying to do so. To be honest, visiting this forum for the first time and seeing there are some campaigns that literally pay the best members out here over a thousand bucks a month is insane and attracts you as a member.

I bet more than half of the members have joined this way. I honestly cannot remember if I also did, but the answer is probably positive. Still, as @Royse777 said, this is a community. We're supposed to be here for the sake of learning more Bitcoin stuff from the best members out there and to be here simply because we enjoy the community Satoshi has launched.

If there is one bad thing I remember doing, it is burstposting and the day campaign manager yahoo removed me from a campaign for doing so. I literally had no idea what burstposting was and thought it was fine to reply to 20 threads with the same subject in a 2-hour span, so being kicked out of the campaign and not being accepted in future ones was a hard lesson that I had to digest but made me wake up.

At one point though, some stuff gets oversaturated. "Bitcoin vs Gold" threads, (not so) subtle merit begging etc gets really annoying especially when a lot of members spam the forum with it. And when the forum gets oversaturated and some members feel like they've had enough of it, they may not give the friendliest replies - but in the end we all change by constantly learning through mistakes.

You are definitely right OP. Users here have different ways on treating newbies and some of them sometime are very harsh, but truth be told, thats how any ecosystem would react for a newbie, until that beginner becomes matured and will be treated as such. You can noticed a lot of users have a dark past of spamming here, but eventually changed as they grow and improve on certain things. Im sure you are starting to see those implications which could guide you on a better forum users.

I had some rude behavior in the past, towards newbie because some of them has totally aiming to go nowhere but I cant deny that its grateful to help some of new people who wanted to learn even though they know their past is really not a good start. OP, you're safe with the beginners section but please don't try other sections of this forum with such thread like this, especially the meta section. Merit don't just gum anyone but with hard work they will surely come by easily. The forum is a place were you are remember for good works but nobody will ever remember you when not doing the right things. Possibly, nobody will give a violent response because of this section the thread is made. Don't feel inferior because of not having the needed merit to rank up but continue with the good work. Be constructive in your discussions.
