I think this is one of the most useful sites you should know because it provides some information on how scams work in the Crypto industry. They also listed some scammer's BTC addresses that had been involved in crimes for us to avoid and a search engine where to check if BTC address has been used by scammers or not. You can check some unknown BTC addresses if it's involved in the scam activity and report some new ones.

You can search it like this: Note below I used my BTC address to see how it will work and it turned out mine was fine and hasn't been used for anything malicious.

But if the BTC address has been used by scammers, the result will be like this.

The site has also listed some top BTC addresses that have been used by scammers. You can see it by scrolling down.

The common scams are:

and finally, you can read some tips on how to avoid those scammers.

Just head straight to the site to check more details about it.

Glanced at it, I am impressed but

How do the scam-alert.io collect, verify comments, tags from community before releasing final tags and comments on bitcoin addresses? Are you sure that they can make released tags, comments are real, and exact ones? I see FUDs behind tags and comments and there are something never good with FUDs.

This is a nice topic OP. It will be very helpful for newbies falling prey for scam projects and scammers going about as traders.

How is the scam been traced and verified?

Don't expect to get real answer on this question of yours, if they tell you how they do their research there won't be any need for the website again

Thank you for sharing this, I didn't know that there is a website like this that can able to save data on scam Bitcoin addresses.

But I think only those Bitcoin addresses that reported to the scam-alert.io site will recognize and verify them as a scam Bitcoin address.
I tried to used other scam Bitcoin address detector website (https://bitcoinwhoswho.com) and grab a scam address on scam-alert.io but the result is negative, probably only reported scam address will be determined on that scam alert site.

I grabbed Bitcoin address on scam-alert.io that tagged as a scam, (fake giveaway on https://scam-alert.io/).

I tried to browse in another scam detector address site. (https://bitcoinwhoswho.com)

The result was negative. So, I conclude that if someone reported a Bitcoin scam address on that site it will automatically be tagged by them.

That is what is called a trade secret if they tell you how they do it then everyone will be able to create a website similar to them and their uniqueness will be lost.

I am sure there is a team involved in finding such addresses it is not a single individual task.

This is a good website which can help to have your doubts cleared whenever you are worried for a certain btc address that you are about to send especially the newbies that still haven't learned such from the experiences of others.

A great tool for everybody to use and be alerted if the address has been used for scams.

The result was negative. So, I conclude that if someone reported a Bitcoin scam address on that site it will automatically be tagged by them.
Not all reports are real reports and if they totally depends on reports from community, I doubt on their correctiveness. If it is an easy work to do, every blockchain explorers integrate it. In reality, there are not many sites that give scam alert, tag like two sites here. I am gonna to visit these sites and check some addresses, only for curiosity satisfaction. I don't believe on their results.

This is not a bad idea, but real question is how can they confirm and verify that some Bitcoin address is connected to scam.
Some people may report legit addresses for revenge or to make harm to someone.
Transparent process of listing addresses would be great.

Actually its true, we dont know how they come up with such result and even description of each address they input into there. Maybe some are true and wrong, but still if this site somehow compile and recorded addresses in the past that commit such crime then its good to go. I wonder if they are doing it manually or just automated too.

There is a post related to this and another scam checker for address: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259672.0

But I like this one much vibrant causw the other one looks suspicious.

Snip
You should post in english cause this is a global section.

Good initiative by the OP to find this kind of platform because it is more helpful to the newbies some asking for help because most of the time are scammers are using the newbie to make more income and some of them are pretending to make help and this kind of platform will help them if the previous address already scammed other members or people to be more aware.

This my OP that i posted lately https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259672.msg54725010#msg54725010

Good day mate your intention is good but please use the English language as one of our communication tool to make a good understanding about the topic.

This is not a bad idea, but real question is how can they confirm and verify that some Bitcoin address is connected to scam.
Some people may report legit addresses for revenge or to make harm to someone.
Transparent process of listing addresses would be great.

We have the same thought because how they gathered all of the information and transaction of every user who holds a lot of address still I hope someone answer our question.

The common scams are:

Since when is the "Dark Web" a scam?
A relatively anonymous network where human right activists in countries like china can communicate with each other and the western world without having to fear that they will be murdered is considered a scam ?

That's like saying "The internet" is a scam.

Both is simply wrong. Scams take place on the internet. Scams take place in the hidden part of the internet. But this doesn't mean that everything automatically is a scam.

This is a great idea. But the most important thing is to take care of against scams They usually resort to various tactics in scams Various parties are trying to take revenge Therefore it is foolish to give someone's personal address without proper verification. This is why you should check any report thoroughly because scammers create reports just like the original report The above discussion can be a great step to correct.
