I have responded this user in a thread of bitcoin discussion and instantly after the response, I received the following PM from him. He is looking for merit, but indirectly. Bitcoin is one of the best platforms in the world. I've been working there for a long time, but I didn't get a merit.😥
Would you say this begging for merits? However, I have checked his post to merit but got nothing.

I think he wants to ask you for some merit that guy is a newbie from February 25 2020. Like everyone else, I thougth he can't wait to get a different rating after a long time here But I had other thoughts when I looked at his article history He is a bounty hunter. I think he wants to ask for merit to get higher rankings and make money. Worse case, he could be someone else's alt, looking at how he write, it's not the same way a user wants to learn about Bitcoin

if you read the sentence, it's more like a dissatisfaction than begging or complaint. seeing that majority of his posts are of bounty entries he can only blame himself for not getting any merits. if only he put some effort(even a little) he might be able to get some merit at some point. I think he wants to ask you for some merit

@Little Mouse: tell @ riyanselim5, if he wants Merit, he must have a quality post in this forum, unlike his current post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2768874;sa=showPosts;start=20, if he posts every day like that, not the Merit he gets, it's the token he collects. Bitcoin is one of the best platforms in the world. I've been working there for a long time, but I didn't get a merit.😥
if I observe the PM from: @ riyanselim5, obviously he wants to ask something from you, indirectly and feels ashamed to say it. The meaning of the emoji symbol 😥 is a disappointed but relieved face,

Just ignore it. It's not explicitly stated and might be a headache if you respond to it seriously. Unless there are other indications where you confidently say he's a beggar of merit.

This is what we call "plausible deniability" when they do not directly say something but rather equivocate it through dog-whistling. Even if you complain about the act that they are actually performing, they can easily say "that's not my intention" and thereby have a claim which dissolves them of responsibility.
I don't think anyone who actually deserves merit will PM others about earning merit, or their lack thereof.

Would you say this begging for merits?
It's an indirect approach to Merit begging but that's not the only issue... - Based on the stated local time on your profile, "riyanselim5" copied one of his/her recent posts and just forwarded that one to you: - Check the differences in time.
- I believe it counts as spam/unsolicited PM. You can/should report riyanselim5's PM to one/all of the admins.
ArchivedBitcoin is one of the best platforms in the world. I've been working there for a long time, but I didn't get a merit.😥

It's a typical newbie things here although some of the newbies post here are getting ignored even though there post deserves a merit in a sense that there post got a point. What I mean is, most of us are looking for a post quality like a veteran here even though the rank of the user who is posting are newbie or low rank. This is what I observe in the forum. Short post = no merit even though his post has a sense. I usually giving merit on post that has a quality in scale with rank of the user. So I'm not expecting too much input for a newbie post, as long as it has a sense or related to the topic and not a usual spam post then I give a merit because they are the most in need for that and not those legendary member that already tons of it. PS: I'm not supporting the guy mention by OP because his post was obviously a spam. Like this one: Yes

I doubt very much that this is a newbie account. Since he writes that he worked for a long time. But as usual, does not read the rules of the Bounty companies. And for the fact that he has an alternative account, with which he violates the rules, both receive a red tag in the trust. I think this will be a good alternative to merit.

Seems like the "yes" was not enough to get merits and he went to copy paste Who will do the IEO of the crypto exchange market?
There is currently no shortage of cryptocurrency exchange markets. There are currently 16,614 crypto exchange markets, according to CoinMarketCap. Now like many ICO companies you will find many fraud markets here. Where IEO is far away, trading is also a lot of risk. So, for IEO, only select those crypto exchange markets that are trusted and very popular. In this case you can choose the following crypto exchange markets.
1) Binance
2) Huobi Global does not bring any trading for Bangladesh.
3) KuCoin
4) OKEx (OKEx) do not bring any trading for Bangladesh.
5) Bittrex
6) BitMax trading for Bangladesh Elao but not account verification Elao. 6) Latoken. (Latoken) 2) Probit. . (Probit)
From the above crypto exchanges you can participate in IEO on any exchange. Because the mentioned crypto exchange sites are now popular as well as trusted.
I think investing in IEO will reduce the chances of being cheated to zero percent. But yes you have to choose the trusted and popular cryptocurrency exchange market to do IEO.
NB: No one is being encouraged to invest in the cryptocurrency market here. The information is only for those who trade cryptocurrencies at their own risk.

I think it can be merit begging for some reason, but it's better to ignore it since it is difficult to assume what really his intention in the post. Instead, just report him for spamming or low-quality post because his post doesn't really relate to the topic he posted it. The account already have red-tagged for cheating so it's already busted.

I am quite agree with @actmyname. Ignore is better solution. Just let him get advantage of suspension. Any action or tag isn't appropriate for that although this is soft merit begging. Sometimes they are depressed and become regret when they are unable to write good post in order to get merits. But unfortunately they aren't doing their best. For me I can say I would earn first merit in first day if I create a new account. But currently newbies are quite lazy to learn and share.

Well, there is nothing wrong with his message imo, still you can report it as unsolicited PM (I doubt mods will take any action against it though).
You can ignore him as joniboini suggested or be helpful by redirecting him to some useful topics where he can learn how to improve himself and how to make valuable/merit worthy posts.

When someone like this, I want to say this is the first stage of communication or start to talk with. Then they will ask the things directly what they want actually. In this case, the user may ask you directly for merit if you reply with soft words. So just ignore it. or just warn him to not do this in the future (For teaching purpose), or report it to the moderator if you think it is unsolicited.

Just ignore it.
And block his PMs if they continue to come, which I doubt they will. I've received odd, almost random PMs by members like this one before and I don't think it's a huge deal or even a major annoyance worth reporting. That guy didn't seem to be merit begging, just complaining to you. If you wanted to be a really nice person you could take a look through his post history and see if there's anything there worth a merit or two. I might do that myself, actually. I won't give out any charity merits, but it's possible he's made at least one or two decent posts. Edit: Jesus, even a brief glance at his post history shows that he's a full-on shitposter and my guess is that he's not a member of bitcointalk because he's a fan of bitcoin but rather because it represents a work-from-home job. And looking at his trust, it would appear he's cheating at that anyway. No merits from me.

If he is asking for merit "indirectly" then its gonna be better to ignore him "directly". Personally i won't like to waste a single minute for him where i can click the "Ignore" button just in 1 second. No merits from me.
Atleast you made a short visit to his post history but you are lucky enough that he don't know yet otherwise he will repeat his activities with the same PM that he already used for "OP".

And looking at his trust, it would appear he's cheating at that anyway. No merits from me. My ignored boards make viewing his post history return 5 results. Any time that happens, it's a bad sign... no wonder he didn't get merit if the user spent all their time in the Bounties section. What were they expecting, someone to say 'wow, nice Twitter reports!' ? Well, those one-liners in the sections that I haven't ignored are sure to be removed soon.

Poor guy not only he didn't get any merit for working on this platform for such a loooong time. he now received a negative trust from lovemayfamilis for cheating bounty campaigns(reference below) and will now get banned for plagiarism.
