Looks like a classic scam trend and I think most advanced users here (if not caught in a moment of weakness) would be able to recognise something like this is unreasonable (it's a few years after bat was originally released) ...

They create new websites to scam. Since every time they create a fake website, someone catches them for the purpose of scamming so that they can no longer use that website to scam. So everyone should be careful of them. I have seen many newbie even old members fall prey to such scams and they lose their hard earned money. I posted this to warn everyone not to send their private key  on the phishing website.

Phishing website owners always target well established platforms who have large community. Its just a cheap attempt to take the advantage of another existing platforms registered users and getting them to their phishing hole. Who have good Knowledge about real website domain and enough careful during browsing are totally safer from this kinda traps. You did a good job by drawing our attention on this. Hopefully thread visitors will be careful about " (BAT) Basic Attention Token" related phising sites.

You can notify BAT authority about this and they may notify their users.

From where have you found this website? It's from Telescam or from Google ads? Please add the source on the OP wherever you create such as scam attempt. It will help to understand the spreading platform as well and people could be more aware although this is old scam method. By the way, domain name itself enough suspicious to mark it as a scam.

Seems website still online, they will make us confuse and gain access of our private keys. That's the their goal, they know very well not lots of peoples will fall into this trap but somehow few peoples will confused and will submit their private key. Also they are quite greed and that greed will led them for a scam. I always want to said, greed is behind of our most of stupid attempt.

Thanks, I guess with the recent twitter hack and making it a headline news, I do hope that people are going to be aware now that there's no way that we are going to get free money regardless if it is bitcoin or any other coins like in this case, scammers have targeted BAT token for their fake airdrop.

It's already a big lessons for crypto community, and we don't want to see and hear that these noobs are still falling for the oldest trick in the book.

People will be very careful about this kind of giveaway now. Because they now realize that this is nothing but a trap. Scammers try to come up with new ideas every day which is dangerous for newcomers. I have seen that the main victims of scammers are newbies.

Fear of the crypto community grew after the Twitter hack. Because we don't know where the hackers will attack next. So we have to be a little more careful now.

I have reported the site to Twitter. It's a closed group and when I attempted to follow it so I could post there and warn others, my request was kept pending. It was my first time experiencing that follower request could be "pending" on twitter. It's simple, the syndicate wants to keep it closed to public eyes. However, the nature of scam is stale and any discerning heart should easily figure it out — Any site asking people for their PK is an instant scam, obviously IMO.
