The price is made by users that wanna buy a product. If there is no exchange it means that there is not a regulation market and it's also very dangerous to invest in this contest, like in the ICO. You could also buy at a price higher than the future market price!

for this solution I can only suggest waiting until the redemption is fixed again, but if there is still no sign of improvement then it must be installed, because generally batcoin has no price because it has been abandoned by the owner, so be patient

So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

What do you think I should do now?

It is very interesting for me to hear the reason, why you decided to buy this token, which is traded only on an exchange without a good reputation?

The rise of decentalised exchanges have helped a lot of small projects in this regard. Now they don't have to worry about paying big bucks to the centralized exchanges to list their tokens.

Of course  you're right, that if your coin or token is not listed, then it's as good as nothing.  The challenge is just that, if that coin you are holding still has developmental team, that is not abandoned, then there could have been hope of getting listed on another exchange.  But you can still keep it in your wallet, we never can tell, the team might come back and pick it up later.

If the team behind the project has no intention in listing it to other exchange then you will end up owning a shit currencies because a currency
without an exchange has no value for sure.

You should check whether their social channels are still active and your only option is to hope that the team behind the project will likely to list
their project to other exchange. But if the team behind the project are nowhere to be found already then there is no hope for your money to come back to life again.

This is true, some few good projects which list their tokens on uniswap for free are doing well, even though there are so many scam projects taking advantage of uniswap and other dex like bamboorelay, forkdelta to list scam tokens. A good centralized exchange with high trading volume is necessary for price growth of a coin/token, but uniswap trading volumes surpass many CEX nowadays hence gives hope to projects which can't afford high listing demands from top CEX.

I don't see anything you can do about a dead coin. A dead coin is a dead coin, you just have to move on to some other projects that are solid may be you can get back your loss from other projects. We all need to be sure before making any investment.
Yes, aside from being a dead coin, it has no exchange. If there is no exchange, it only means that the coin has no value at all. Meaning, he can't either sell it in an exchange or do P2P. No one will be willing to buy a coin with no value.

i've seen the batcoin website, and the project seems already dead. of course the dead coin will have no value. i think it's impossible that the other exchangers will listed the dead coin. there's nothing you can do to return your money, all you can do is take some learning from this situation.

There is nothing you can do about this, the only way is to wait for batcoin to be listed on the exchanges. But the possibility is small,
regarding to my knowledge, Bitcoin is a dead project. Next time be more careful about buying altcoins, just choose popular altcoins
that have a high volume of investment. So don't buy altcoins like batcoin again.

Well, that was exactly the right move, we all shouldn't save our coins in exchange wallet too long.
Never use 3rd party wallet to store your coins because you won't never know what will happening there. I have some coins on Cryptopia and they are gone because the exchange has been hacked.

Many exchanges have been hacked, which is CRYPTOPIA, ETHERDELTA exchange crashed and scam the participants of the transaction on it. No exchange is safe, leave your money on major exchanges like Binance, Huobi, OKEx, Coinbase ... at least on large exchanges you will find them better. That's how you keep your money safe.

there are so many exchanges launches day by day and it is difficult to understand which one is secure and I prefer those exchanges which have a good reputation and working for more than 3 years. but we live in digital ears its impossible to trust any exchange reputed exchange also. if you have a heavy fund then its great to store your fund in a hardware wallet.

You right it's very difficult believe in new exchange when bad things happen also to big exchanges. But a new coin must start from the bottom and day by day try to arrive on a bigger exchange if it has not a knowed team behind

I have second thought on trading new coins that has only one exchange listed with lower liquidity, once I saw a coin like that I immediately liquidate you are in danger of the coin you are holding de listed or you will unable to liquidate it because of lack of volume, the best and only choice is to dump right away.

There are no updates on this project and of course this project can be said to be over, so the coins you have in your wallet will not be valuable, save it maybe in the future there will be a miracle..
Please don't play with his hope like that with miracle stuff. The best thing for him right now is just moving on and stop wasting his time, his energy on thinking his dead coin can return.
It is true that this project is dead and cannot be resurrected. They have even been removed from the exchanges in this market. It is best to abandon this altcoin and learn from it, invest only in the best projects and be listed on major exchanges to be safe.

That is why, it is advisable to do your proper research on projects before investing. There would have been done signs and traces that it might not succeed. Besides you don't just buy a coin and keep without following up with the projects on there social media. Reviews from there social media will also help to know when to dump. Lest always try and e careful investing in on coins at the verge of dieing.

I think there is nothing you can do, maybe you can only hope and miracles come
This is a risk from the world of cryptocurrency, this is the digital world and even the track records of blockchains developers can be faked
If you want to get profit from cryptocurrency then you must be prepared for the risks, such as delisted coins / tokens from exchangers

It`s a pity, but I reckon you have lost your money. I prefer but cryptocurrency which is listed at least on 2 exchanges to avoid such situation. Moreover buying unpopular altcoins with low trading volume is always high-risky action, because you easily can lose your money if demand on this coin disappears
