In my country, most of the officials/politicians grab the opportunity to corrupt the funds. There are many news and issues regarding to the reliefs as well as the money that the government is releasing to the people. I can say that they are the biggest winner during COVID-19 in my country. But many of my countrymen are appealing and because of the technology some of them got caught.

In this pandemic, we have observed the real personality of people that we voted during election. Many politicians are making money because of pandemic while the poor people are suffering from an agony of life without any assistance came from them.

Well, that is a bad example that is happening in your country, but I am sure that happens too in other countries. We are talking about big money that people donate to charity, but some don't have the responsibility to break that and use that money for their purpose. I hope that people can be arrested without any mercy because they use the money for people. That is not the biggest winner if the money if it's come from the donation for the Covid-19.

I don't think there is the biggest winner in this pandemic situation. Even the medical industry is not to be treated as the winner in this situation, they are the frontliners, so they are sacrificing their lives to combat this disease.

But in my view, I would say that bitcoin could be the biggest winner because people have been looking at bitcoin a lot more these days. We also became the first one to recover perfectly, that is why I think that was the most important part of corona for us.

If we are talking about nations or type of people, I would say it was perfect for the rich companies and people who bribe countries. Why? Because, they were capable of getting a ton of money and billions of dollars combined that helped them out and they didn't get any trouble at all and they simply continued regular life whereas poor people are not getting the help they need.

That is how rich got richer when there is limited amount of money, countries print out even more and they give a ton to companies and just a tiny bit to poor people so that rich people could get that from poor over time.

Btw, it can be said that China is playing a great role in this pandemic and Us fragile system can be broken for pandemic and some recent issues.

No further explanation regarding this. We have seen a huge surge of online gamblers when the pandemic began and it will continue to rise as long as the pandemic is there and maybe after pandemic, people will rather just gamble online for some reasons.

I feel like they haven't been influenced much these days because most of the people are doing video calls through apps but yeah they have seen a little growth for sure.

Maybe in some countries but here in our country where people are spending more than 8 hours surfing in the internet, the revenue of telecom companies here in just Q1 and Q2 are higher than their usual revenue because people are just bored right now in their house so they are just spending most of their time surfing.

4. In the future, the first ones who will successfully create a new vaccine or cure for the virus because for sure many countries will buy it.

I heard that Russia are working on it and there is some testing left and once they have tested it they will make it available for export. Let us see how it goes and if they are actually able to do it.

Yes they are working on it and it produced promising results in their trials. I saw in one post in Facebook that they are creating millions of dozes already for it to be sold in public. Although I don't believe this for some reasons, I believe that Russia will be the first ones to create a vaccine.

Yes, even the government give a lot of attention to the medical industry to make the vaccine, we can't forget that we have lost great doctors at the start of this pandemic. The country hasn't produced any major breakthrough in the field since the Soviets (more like in any field that wouldn't be a Soviet legacy to some extent). There are plenty of medicines in local pharmacies which are just good old snake oils. There's even a derogatory term in Russian for this kind of drugs -- "фyфлoмицин", which can be loosely translated as "phonimycin" (a portmanteau of phoney and mycin), i.e. a worthless and useless (at best) nostrum. I'll admit that I don't follow what's going on in the world all that much, but are there really countries on the brink of collapse (as you say) because of COVID-19?  I've been watching at least some news, but I haven't heard of anything like that.

Treatment for what, exactly?  So far there aren't any novel treatments for this strain of coronavirus, nor is there a vaccine yet, so big pharma doesn't have anything on the market right now which would be making them "abnormous" profits.  If anything, pharmaceutical companies are putting their own money into developing treatments and/or a vaccine, and while they may end up being winners they haven't won anything just yet.

So who does benefit from this pandemic?  Personal protective equipment manufacturers would be my first pick.  I'd also think hospitals would be doing OK since I'm pretty sure they're seeing a much higher number of patients visiting them.  I don't tend to think of this situation like that, though.  In any disaster/pandemic/whatever, there are always some who make out like bandits but I don't necessarily think that makes them crooks or even opportunists.

You are saying the medical companies are charging a lot of money and they made a ton of profit. However that sounds pretty American. For our country it is free, nobody made any money at all. Our healthcare system is free, we pay taxes for it, the taxes didn't went up, we still paid nothing for the hospitals and while Americans are paying 10x more because of covid, we just paid the same exact tax as if nothing happened.

Even the masks were free if you applied for it, the difference? You can buy one right now right away paying for it (which is an option if you want to) or you can apply for it and get it in few weeks. This is why economically speaking nobody really made any profit from it in medical industry for my nation, its USA and similar countries that charges for a life threatening illness which makes no sense to me at all.

I think there is no really big winner at this time of pandemic because all of us are seriously affected by the spread of the virus. Yes, it is indeed that the sales for medical drugs have rise up because people do want to keep themselves immune from any virus as well as purchasing of many alcohols and other related sanitation to somehow get rid from the possibility of acquiring the virus. But that is not quite a point to state that the medical industry are the ones benefiting from this crisis and it is not that right to think of that because we are all into the extent of finding ways to prevent the spread of virus.

Business establishments have been down temporarily and some are permanently because of the community quarantine being implemented to help prevent the spread of virus so even the rich people are affected by this crisis. I think no one have the advantage or the biggest edge at this time for we are all lying on the same spot of crisis. It is just that we are having different experiences during this pandemic depending on our social status but seriously all are affected and no one can be stared as a big winner because of the pandemic.

The same can be said about any major diseases - it is quite obvious who kept afloat and expanded during the pandemic and I do not think that they need to be introduced.
