Cryptocoinopoly - Do you consider it a good idea?

I found that on the internet:

I'm thinking on working months on it and create an online cryptocoinopoly game. Play with or without real cryptocurrencies.

What do you think?

This looks interesting,but what are the rules?I've never plaid the original Monopoly game.
What about copyright infringement?Won't this Cryptocoinopoly game kinda copy the design of the Monopoly game and get into copyright infringement?
Good luck,if you really wanna try and create an actual game out of the Monopoly concept.
Do you have any experience as a game developer/designer?Creating such game isn't that easy,I guess.
I think that turning this into a gambling game will not be a good move.

Looks really nice and fun... Shouldn't be toooo hard to create an online version either.
A quick google turned up a couple php/mysql monopoly scripts like this one: sourceforge.net/projects/gamedaemon/ (completely untested, not my script).

A lot of good idears for the "chance" and "community chest" cards pop to mind:

You invested in a PONZI and lost 0.01 BTC
Your coin forked, claim the fork and get 0.1 BTC
You signed up on bitcointalk and purchased a copper membership, pay 0.001 BTC
bitcoin . com tricked you into buying BCH, you lost 0.05 BTC in the process
An airdrop happened, you claim 0.025 BTC
You get caught for plagiarism and get banned, go directly to HODL

That being said, davis196 is right: be carefull not to get in a copyright infringement lawsuit from hasbro..

If we use bitcoin, it is censorship.

Same thoughts especially the game involves a large amount of cryptocurrency that is similar to the amount used in real life and in the actual game. Still, this is a good concept for experimentation.

I remember the game monopoly has something similar to Rich Dad Poor Dad: Cash Flow Game wherein it teaches you on how to manage your finances well in real life.

That looks great. The only problem is that you also need a bank. You will never know how much that must be at the beginning of the game so the players can all add a part to the bank.

I never played monopoly games before but if you innovate it with implementing crypto on it, I might try and play your game. This will be the first time this kind of game introduced to the forum and if you come to make a pair of rules which will make players enjoy this game then that will be something to look forward to. I would like to participate in the beta version if you will have one like testing some flaws and bugs.

I love the idea and would definitely love to try this out, but you might get into trouble in terms of copyright and stuff, so best be clear and aware of that. As others have already pointed out, there are a lot of funny and interesting ideas that you can place on tiles to make it even more attractive, immersive and fun to the players. Add some meme-y materials into it and you have a golden game.

I don't promise anything. But yeah I would like to create it. Although, I'm already working on some projects.

I'd defenately choose satoshi's as a baseunit... Not any fiat currency, and probably not BTC directly (those comma's make it hard to work with... I'd rather have larger denominations instead of comma's).

will this be player versus player game or player versus the house? because in first type i would be curious about how you are going to make money if it is just players playing against each other.
there is also the matter of fairness in games like this since it is not just the player's luck that matters but how others play can affect their outcome too.
if you could come up with a provably fair system that all could verify other user's actions (maybe combine all seeds?) it could be an interesting game.

I think this is actually a pretty cool idea/concept. I have seen quite a few games out there made stemming from bitcoin/cryptocurrency artists.. I am surprised to just see this popping up. Good luck with things if you do decide to bring it to life.
