I wasn't online since the GOSU tournament on SwC Poker, and was expecting to see at least several posts about it ... Can't believe there aren't any ...

Well, speaking for myself, the tournament went great. There were 15 participants(many new names, hope to see them in the upcoming games), and 4 paid places, with a nice 0.0009165 BTC for the 4th place, which I took

won in the end, as well as I don't know who are people under the aliases jjjjjjj and mumbojumbo. Hope they'll appear in this thread and we'll get to know each other better. What can I say so far is that they are great poker players, very pleasant to play with.

So I see this thread isn't updated much, huh? I'm still tormenting myself with the question "Who won the tournament?". I'm rooting for EnterScreenN, cos it's our guy tyKiwanuka, but I'm aware that it's a bit weird to be rooting for someone to win in the past event. Reminds of movie TENET, in a way.

I will join the next one. Time for my revenge from the game, I kinda threw away 1800+ chips with 33 before the first break after I lost one hand to Woozy. It was quite tilting to be honest

Turn was another brick card that provide no straight draw and it was a rainbow board so my pair Q was good

Same action on the turn buf after my reraise, Woozy raised it again. I jam my chips, he called

Im not sure why the rest of swc regulars wasnt interested on this. I was kinda expecting more than 20 for this tournament because chefcat social tournament usually has more than 25 players though

I lost so many times with pocket AQ that I started thinking of folding it preflop. But in reality, if you are not playing with AQ there's not much cards left to play with. I still think that AQ can be folded preflop when there are 8-9 players at the table, but the less players at the table, the better cards they become.

Saturday would be a bit better for me, but Sunday is also fine.  The next game will definitely be played on Sunday, right? So, yeah, I'll be practicing for Sunday.

Nah its not really going to change anything at all. It only works with players that know some basic intermediate stuff about poker I supposed. On the last game, almost 4/8 aside from me call 1BB limp then I tried to isolate the initial raiser or atleast 1 player with a 3bet to 7bb with KQo iirc but nope it didnt work and everyone else called my raise. This happened quite a few time in similar scenario, its kinda feels like no one has that fold button  

I seriously have no clue what to do in this type of game, IMO the best play would be to be as tight as possible.

So, who else? Are we going to have 20+ participants this time?

Unfortunately, response times haven`t changed to the better with SwC... I appreciate them hosting games for us and everything but the communication is still a pain. They asked me if the game was supposed to be password protected two days ago, I responded and since then... silence. For that reason I have now asked them to set up games for us in advance on a bi-weekly base. Too bad we won`t be able to "really promote" this Sunday`s game since it`s already Thursday.

In a MTT tournament with larger field like over 1k participants, that kind of play might guarantee you atleast the min cash most of the time but it would be hard to reach the Final Table if you play tight most of the time.

As I said multiple times, I am not in it for the money, I am in for the fun and every single familiar face helps make it a bit more like regular real life poker.

I joined the early editions last year, and always end up having to leave soon as the games can drag on. I know they should of course, but I guess now in my "adult" real life, even finding 1/2 hours a week all to myself is a big luxury I even can't always have to watch my team play. But yeah, I'll still show up if I can, make some people happy with my credits =p
