According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Are you planning a bounty campaign?

Thank you for your interest in the Bitcoin Ultimatum project!

If you carefully read our White Paper https://btcu.io/pdf/white_paper.pdf, you probably noticed that we are planning an airdrop.
As for the bounty, so far we have no specific information. It is possible in the future there will be something detailed.

when snapshot ?

I don't know what project you are talking about. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence that someone wanted to create a project with the same name. Today there is no cryptocurrency with that name and, accordingly, this name is not taken.

Hey dev, can we mine the coin with our miner ? I see the hash of the coin is SHA256, but what about the algo ?
I am interested to get some of the coin by mining. Is the coin algo = SHA256 PoW or is it for PoS only ?

It will be a hybrid of LPoS mining algorithm and PoA to make a real decentralizing infrastructure with limited validators.

Then i guess i cannot mine the coin with my miner which is unfortunately, and what is exactly LPoS ?
I know DPoS but im not familiar with LPoS. There are already many coins created from bitcoin fork, what is the difference in this coin?

As per the whitepaper it's called Leasing PoS and the meaning of it is also there but  I think I found a grammatical error on it, I bolded it on the quoted sentence below. I think that shouldn't be the meat we are expecting. Grin

Quote
The LPoS algorithm creates a voting system that directly depends on the reputation of the validators. If the selected node does not work correctly or works inefficiently, it will be quickly deleted and replaced by another. Therefore, the validators are motivated to act honestly and effectively, so that they are further voted for with their own steak.

Question about the supply, does it mean it will be the same as the circulating supply once the BTCU launched? And when will claiming stopped? By the way a grammatical error on the whitepaper under the BTCU BLOCKCHAIN TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS > Coin Supply Control: it's written BTUC there instead of BTCU. Check your papers before publishing it.

We are also thinking about the possibility of holding an bounty for this project.
THIS IS A GREAT IDEA. THINK HOW MANY PEOPLE THE BOUNTY WILL ATTRACT TO YOUR PROJECT. I WOULD LOVE TO PARTICIPATE IN ORDER TO EARN COINS.

We are thinking about it.
But for now, I can say that we will definitely have an airdrop for BTC holders, but the bounty is still being discussed in the team.

Well, for my personal opinion it sound very good! Hope team will make the right decision for it, bounty it will make more visibility to the project!

Another bitcoin fork that may not last long time.
Since you mentioned new-generation here, what will be your difference from other bitcoin forks?
We have had enough of these forks, because very few emerge to have real usage.

Also, how are you related to this defunct bitcoin ultimate project?

I agree with you, the last few years we have seen many forks many of which have died, it does not make sense to me to fork a coin. Then the distribution method leaves something to be desired. however we will see if this fork is the same as all the others.

The entire crypto market has been on the move in the past few days. It looks like fate and fortune are favorable to you. If I were you, I would hurry. Now is a very good time to start a you Bitcoin Ultimatum project. You will be successful!

It looks like you are right. But we don't want to use the current situation to create a hype around our project. We are developing according to the planned schedule.

Not sure what you say it is the best now that bitcoin is goin up all altocin are going down, when come bull alwayse altocoin suffer

High energy consumption associated with Bitcoin mining has become a subject of serious discussion over the past few years. It is a process that makes the digital asset extremely energy-consuming since the cryptocurrency requires powerful hardware for its enormous hash calculations and processing of financial transactions.

This is one of the main reasons that influenced the development of BTCU- as the best alternative solution to the first cryptocurrency's intensive-energy usage. BTC Ultimatum blockchain was developed switching to an improved LPoS algorithm (combined with PoA) to eliminate the energy-consuming model associated with Bitcoin mining, which addresses mining performance and increases blockchain throughput up to 10,000 transactions per second.

In layman term what is the exact definition and features of this coin, what is the dev's team important steps to make the coin stable and survive in the present hard competition in the market, I am fan of btc forks etc etc.
