Or, use BTCPay and do it yourself, or if you want it can integrate with Magento or WooCommerce.
And as bitmover said you can just put up a QR code and take donations.
Or if you don't mind dealing with the dark side coinbase commerce or bitpay are both established and give you nice reporting if you want / need it.

Really, really careful with that. Many online "QR Code Generators" could be malicious or become malicious in the future. If you blindly generate a QR code with your address and don't verify its content, you could be using someone's else address to ask for money.

There are different apps for each cryptocurrency, most apps only support one or some cryptos and still others keep their cryptos on an exchange app so how is this supposed to find the default app to use?

If a website is dealing in multiple currencies, they will put labels above each QR code to identify the currency.  You scan the one you want.

If they can't do this in their website I think one of the best alternative would be creating a dedicated donation page per QR code foe Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Litecoin where if their visitors click they will be redirected to their respective donation page. Its wordpress so a lot of these types of services exists via their plugins where they take advantage of people who wants the easy way to implement the function but for people who have websites I would extremely recommend people to just do the alternatives mentioned by other members here so plugins like this would feed off less and less people.
