Justin Sun is still making his publicity stunts. And with this bounty being much bigger than the sum that was stolen, perhaps he is thinking that no one will come to claim it? After all, if there were multiple hackers, only one of them can snitch on the others to claim the bounty, and then it might still mean jail time for them. Plus there's a risk that Justin Sun won't uphold his word.

But I wonder if some chainanalysis company will somehow manage to track down the hackers, would Justin pay the bounty to them?
We all know that Justin will jump on every opportunity to get any publicity, after all he was given the title shill god. It's good to hear that he is offering the bounty, and I'm sure bounty hunters will be hunt on the tail for this hackers. If he is true to his words then he should pay them. So this will be a cat and mouse game, hackers using tumbling services or even privacy coins like monero to hide their foot prints.

Another Justin Sun classic. He must have neen the apprentice of McAfee since this is also the way McAfee started before being one of the most hated personality in the crypto scene. Whilr I do not have any problems with Justin doing Justin things, I feel like he should leave these legal matters to the authorities. We get it, the dude has money, but it's obnoxious that he's offering it in exchange of the dox of the hackers before turning them over to the authorities.

Speaking of John Mcafee, this will be the anniversary when he said that he is going to eat his manhood if bitcoin didn't go to $500K in 2020.

Regarding Justin, I agree that this is classic move from him, he really knows when to ride on a hype and make a noise about it. For me this is nothing but just publicity stunt, he has a history of doing this and the timing about his supposedly TRON 4.0 released is perfect.

It is exactly what is happening, he does know how to market himself even when the chips are down and he is the only person among prominent people who lost their account during this hack and Justin is the only person who came out with a million dollar bounty Grin. I would really like to see these hackers getting caught and i want to see whether Justin Sun is going to follow up with his offer and pay the million dollars Cheesy. Slick marketing at its best and thereby promoting his coin along with it.

We can’t tell what his intentions are for offering such an amount of bounty, and I hope that he fulfills it if someone should come up with a very information that will lead to apprehending those hackers. Just like someone said here, if a chain analysis company should trace those hackers and come up with reasonable information, is he really going to give that money to them? He better do.

Furthermore, these hackers deserves to pay for their crimes, because it’s becoming something else that’s trying to lay a bad name for cryptocurrency. They need to be disciplined and set as an example for those that will try to thread that same part.

If I were in his shoes, I would rather spend $1 million for charity purposes during this pandemic. In that way, I would respect him even more despite meeting him a few times in person last year in Hongkong and Taiwan.

More people will respect his decision if he donates his money for charity purposes, especially we are still in the Covid-19. He will get more appreciation from the public, and he can also introduce about bitcoin because many people will know and search about him. When people see that he is one of many people behind the crypto world, people will gain enthusiasm to search for more info, and who knows, he can be a trendsetter in the crypto world. We don't know what his reason to do that because I think it is hard to reveal the hackers.

He shouldn't get involved in this matter I guess as witter will look into it and also will be having all the IP logs and other data on them, so Twitter will already be looking into those hackers. This bounty will probably won't go to someone. Moreover Charity sounds right way to help other people with this huge amount of money because the loss that incurred due to hackers isn't that big if you compare it with other data hacks and other scams in the past and Twitter is already having resources to find them on their own.

First thing that comes to my mind after reading it is: Justin must be really loaded from all those victims or as they call them "investors" if he's able to buy a dinner with Waren and later throw away a million dollars just like that. If you guys own Tron you should be asking when exit.

Finally normal rewards for bounty

All those beggars from the altcoin section are now looking for those hackers.

We do like for it to happen but knowing that this market is anonymous and having that irreversible transaction then its really  hard for it to be imply. When in talks of Sun's motive then we cant blame out the community
on having those kind of perceptions since we do already have the idea on how he do involved into things just to make some exposure or intention on shilling up his reputation.

$1M bounty is just really a penny for him and he do knows that such bounty is some part of marketing. We dont know if his really that willing or honestly trying to be good here but i do have the same impressions
that this might be an another show up.

I bet that whoever managed to hack so many accounts probably has thought it through about what steps to take so they can't get caught.
My theory of what most likely happened is that these accounts had a common breaking point. Perhaps some authenticated application with permissions to post from something like a marketing firm.

Twitter is the one that should look into such security issues other than a crypto CEO that was affected by the hack. Honestly, that money is never going to get to the hands of anyone because the hackers probably know how to remain anonymous. It's just a publicity stunt as others have said.

Still the marketing stunts after his TRON 4 hype failed. The price of TRON didn't lift a finger when they launch it but seem like he is not yet done hyping.

First thing that comes to my mind after reading it is: Justin must be really loaded from all those victims or as they call them "investors" if he's able to buy a dinner with Waren and later throw away a million dollars just like that. If you guys own Tron you should be asking when exit.

True. It will not go up until Justin keeps milking his investors while he gets to unlock the Bilions TRX all available to dump while hte price already hit rock bottom. This is why I also sold to ease my mind by investing it to a safer token.

Seeing the character of Justin Sun who likes to make publicity stunts, I'm not sure about the bounty for Twitter hackers that he said.
If it turns out there is a successful claims reward, there is no guarantee Justin Sun will pay $ 1 Million. Because the $ 1 Million
reward amount is too large, it looks unrealistic. Grin

Haha, exactly! $1 million for the scam of $100k I guess the hacker might give away his location in order to claim this bounty as well!!! Grin Grin
This isn't more than a publicity stunt, everyone knows that no one is going to do a thing for this much amount of money that was scammed and Twitter will most probably do a patch from which the hackers were able to get control of these verified accounts. So its a pretty good marketing strategy to announce a $1 Million bounty for information on the hackers.

I feel like this is a bait for the hackers to come to the light. If they try to claim that bounty then people will know who they are, and they will not be able to just walk away as nothing happens after what they did.

The Bounty is som serious money, but the hackers are not that stupid to sho their faces now.

I feel like this is a bait for the hackers to come to the light. If they try to claim that bounty then people will know who they are, and they will not be able to just walk away as nothing happens after what they did.

The Bounty is som serious money, but the hackers are not that stupid to sho their faces now.

Those hackers might not snitch each other but it time, they'll get caught anyway. This bounty just made the process faster. I bet the authorities or some agency are backtracking the wallet to see where it is created or if there was any transactions or movements before the hacking.

It will be pretty interesting though to see if Justin Sun will really give the reward (let's say some person that the hackers trust snitch them just to get the reward).

The hunt continuous and hope this offer could help to find those WHO actually did the hacking and not by those who claim that THEY ARE. Things might uneasy to find those people and for sure they don't show up even though of these big offerings. It for sure a lot of big names and businessmen twitter accounts have been compromised, maybe some of them are just kept in silence knowing that they have less chance to trace who made this.

I really appreciate how Justin Sun offers and so the SEC for this case. What they do is not only for their benefits and to know publicly but they are trying to show sympathy. That was caring, though.

Crypto is all about hype and creating attention, and justin sun knows how to utilise this important features,  as one of the influential people whose account got hacked it is normal for him to make the offer since nobody else would, maybe he has more vital information in his DMs than the rest or just curious how such attack was successfully carried out,
Justin Sun is worth more than a million dollar, was he not willing to pay $4.5million for a dinner with Warren Buffet! If he was willing to go through with that am sure this won't be an issue to him, not that I fancy him but he knows when to make a move and market his product which is a priority for him.

Grin

Justin Sun has all the money, if I remember correctly, he paid $4 million to a charity fund just to be able to have lunch with Warren Buffett. So he can back it up, but everyone is questioning his intention here. Is he truly wanted to catch the scammers or hackers even if he knows that it will be difficult task so he jump in again to look like the hero that will save the day or just wanted to ride on the news again just what he did many times?

I'd like to see those hackers to be responsible with the trouble that they've done. And this is another case that Justin Sun has brought up to his attention which can be another highlight for him. Well, I'll think positively for those hunters that will catch the hackers and hopefully the bounty will be distributed to them.

But as we know the moves of Justin, it's always for the show and attention.

the Tron dude is just trying to make his name heard in the news again so that he can gain some popularity. there is basically no difference between what he did and what McAfee did 3  years ago with his whole penis eating bet that expired a couple of days ago, that was also done to gain popularity.
even though $1 million is nothing for someone who has scammed a lot more out of newbies with his shitcoin but i would only believe it if he put the funds in escrow Cheesy

Did he care to offer a similar bounty for the three year long youtube scam giveaways? Many Youtubers suffered because of this after losing their accounts for months and many fell victims to it. Accounts get hacked, defaced, and lost credibility promoting scam giveaways without youtube doing much to stop this. A network of tens of thousands of zombie accounts is in the hands of hackers. The tweeter hack was a one-time event that was significant as accounts with millions of followers were hacked, still, it was over after an hour or so.

This bounty is just another publicity stunt by Justin to keep Tron relevant especially after missing the DeFi bubble. It is obvious Tron is centralized around the entity of Justin Sun who is running it as a business and not a cryptocurrency aiming for decentralization. As far as I'm concerned, Tron looks like an overextended dot-com company before the collapse.
