I'd like to see those hackers to be responsible with the trouble that they've done. And this is another case that Justin Sun has brought up to his attention which can be another highlight for him. Well, I'll think positively for those hunters that will catch the hackers and hopefully the bounty will be distributed to them.
But as we know the moves of Justin, it's always for the show and attention.
Making such move to generate attention, a common attitude by this developer riding with the trend while it's still hot. Though it's also a good sign in case there are hunters that will take into action and track those hackers. Once there's a good result, the hackers needs to answer implemented laws and be punished. While in the good side, the rewards should be distributed in case the hackers has been caught both rewards and punishments should also be broadcasted

As long as he can excel with such news, he will ride along with them because it's the best exposure that he can get. I'm sure that Twitter is doing their job to track those hackers in the best that they can. I'll wait until they have tracked down the hacker/s. They will surely be accountable for what they have done and caused a lot of people to fall for that scam.

Yup, the bounty is real and the bounty is Big. So with just those few words I'm almost certain that the hacker will be caught and brought before light. Nobody would pass on such a generous bounty. I expect there'll be many false claims just to acquire the money but then that in itself is another issue altogether.

I really like justin and his projects but pulling up $1m bounty to get twitter hackers seems like publicity stunts to me but then again, history shows justin is always against hack activities as he once tried to offer cz_binance some funds to increase liquidity during binance hack which cz delimed. So it might be just in his nature to always advocates againt fraud

I'm not sure how serious is Justin to reward someone could tell him whose in charge with this hacking incident. And I believe that only a few had known about Justin behavior and that only we caught attention to make people's eyed on him. What exactly his doing now is to promote himself again. Hes making his name to look more attractive and that bounty offering will surely catch attention publicly. I really appreciate what he does but it turns me off if this is the only way to get attention. The authorities are tracking whos behind this hacking scenario, may Justin will give it to them once they know.

You mean a publicity right. Well in this case it might be true that Justin Sun would truly give a reward to those who can give information about the hacker. It is very hard though to detect because hackers now are aware and being cautious in their action. What important here is to retreive those account that has been hacked and I guess twitter technical services could reset it for them though it may be a hard and long job to all hack accounts at least it will return. And also it might add up a lesson to learn in this issue regarding hack accounts.

I read this news in twitter that not only Justin Sun hacks his twitter also some other big accounts. Yes, big rewards who can catch those hackers as Justin is also well known to the crypto industry. We observe how he promote his project using his twitter acct which is very important to him. Publicly this makes noise to people an added attention to Twitter users.

The security breach at Twitter was the largest at the moment as hackers were able to take control of dozens of accounts, not only crypto companies, but also verified accounts of tech figures like Elon Musk and politicians like Barack Obama and Joe Biden. All the compromised accounts were tweeting about a scam giveaway. It appears the scammers managed to rake in $118,567 in today’s Bitcoin prices. Early investigation inside Twitter revealed the hack was a coordinated social engineering attack.

But the problem is, there is someone who can locate or find out who the person/persons or even organization that hacked twitter accounts of those big names. For sure they are really intelligent and skillful ones so they leave no trace which means that it will be a hard for those people who wants to find out behind these twitter attacks. I'm sure the hacker is not dumb to leave a footsteps of their actions, so provably there's no one can trace those hacker since as per history no hacker has been found especially in crypto who cause damage to the public. I really had a feeling that tron use this event as simple marketing since they can get an attention by placing a bounty for impossible trace out of those hackers.

4 months back, some of the criminals tried a similar scam. I immediately posted about it in the Scam Accusations sub-forum. You can find the thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5234450.msg54070831Back then, they failed to hack the twitter account. What they did was that a fake Twitter account was created with the same DP and background and then they made scam posts using that account below the tweets from the real account. Back then also, they had targeted the Twitter profile of Elon Musk. An example is here: Note the fake tweet (made by @elonmmusk) and the real tweet (@elonmusk). A lot of users got fooled because if you are not paying attention, then you may not be able to differentiate between @elonmmusk and @elonmusk. And note that the fake tweet received more than a thousand likes and retweets within a few hours.

Guys, I know there's a facade in this thread of Justin Sun just doing this for publicity and all that, but think about it, who wouldn't relish at the thought of earning a million dollars just by tracking someone down? Most likely it's going to be split among a group of people because cases like these require a team effort. As much as I respect Justin Sun even if a lot hates him, I honestly think that spending $1 million to reveal the hackers isn’t just right, especially in this crisis. If I were in his shoes, I would rather spend $1 million for charity purposes during this pandemic.
But this action he's doing will help bring justice to the hackers who made off with more than $100K. He's throwing 10x more money to get them caught which is another example of legal activities, doing detective work for a bounty in this case, earns you a lot more money than illegal activities, scamming in this case.

Very interesting there will be many people who try to catch up these hackers, in order to get the $ 1 million bounty offered by Justin. Somehow my hunch says that Justin Sun will break a promise related to the $ 1 million bounty, maybe Justin will have many of reasons for not paying if true twitter hackers are found. I also don't really want to think negatively towards Justin, therefore we better all wait for the latest news updates about this. Hopefully my guess is wrong and Justin really paid bounty hunters who managed to find the twitter hackers.

Twitter hacking is not a child's play, so I believe that the person or those behind it are not prey that can be easily caught, and that they have protected themselves well. Justin just uses this situation for a little promotion, and if he really wants to help let him donate that amount to Twitter and their security service to patch up all the security holes in their system. Maybe Justin just challenged the hackers to show what else they know., I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to remove him from the Trone because of this move But $1 Million Bounty isn't a joke either. For this money some good professionals may think of involving themselves in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if a member of the hacker team handed over his fellows for this amount. That's how it works with police bounties anyway. just a matter of time when will these hackers be exposed. and knowing, justin sun - maybe another stunt to promote himself and his project and again attract media attention. wonder if he will really do give that reward if someone will trace these hackers, if they ever will??? if you are a true blooded hacker, you should know how to cover your tracks. if not i dont think you can be called a hacker!

Kudos to Justin Sun, This is indeed a way to tell the whole world that the crypto community dosen't promote and support frauds since a lot of people have the perceived idea that bitcoin is majorly used for illegal transactions. With a bounty of $1m, I'm sure more than enough people will be willing to rat out the hackers! More wisdom to justin sun
How much does this twitter hackers stole? Or I should say, received from people seeking for quick and easy money. I’ve heard that around $200k. It doesnt matter, anyway they got less than $1m. Hacker could surrender to Sun. get $1m, but lose these “around $200k”, share how he hacked and possibly get a position of one of security engineers.

Yeah, you can be smart on taking such step as a hacker but you do really believe that they are that fool enough to surrender? You would face up charges on breaching out big companies twitter accounts plus the fraud or scam that you've been scattering. In legal manner then that 800k bounty of yours might not really be enough for you to bail out. hehe

Most likely it's going to be split among a group of people because cases like these require a team effort. Not necessary to have a huge team, anyone who is having the knowledge about the hack and we know how it all transpired and how the media pinpointed it to a kid in the UK but he knew about all this from a discord channel and the hack happened because of the bad security practices of twitter as they were lousy in dealing with sensitive tools and when the back end tool is leaked you get these kind of situations. It is better to sue twitter by the people who lost money because of this mishap.

Someone hiding together with him will give over to the police the needed info in exchange for the money. Criminals, living in Peter Pan's world, think their buddies will never do that, but they are wrong, as history shows.

I don't really see why Justin sun is offering such enormous amount. He thinks this is yet is another opportunity to make publicity stunts and get in the news. The money being offered ($1M) is at least 4 times bigger than the amount that was stolen which doesn't make much sense considering the fact that his account and that of Tronix weren't the only one who were affected during the attack. I wouldn't be too surprised if someone shows up to claim the bounty.

I just suspect about insider information. In some wild guessing how it has become possible for hackers to target high level of people all at once?
There only few possibilities for hacking any account of any services: 1. By resetting password. If celebrities DOB/mothers' 1st name/ fav movie/born city kind of information are available and a services is allowing to reset password by checking these information.
2. By clicking a phishing link. 3. By hacking devices and by installing key-loggers.
I just wonder how those hackers managed to do one of these things successfully.
If hacker hacked only one celebrity's account and then attempted to exploit those BTC doubling things then that is a different case.
When MULTIPLE top level people's account were targeted AT ONE SINGLE TIME means that is somehow leading to assume about the involvement of one or group of employees of twitter corp.
