You can get it when you PM the OP.

You do not have to wait, and you do not need to get permission in order to answer the interview questions.. and post your post in this thread.

I personally think some of the questions suck (or are a bit outdated) and recently we have been getting pretty shitty answers to the questions, so I am not sure how helpful it is even to read through the answers anymore, since what are the one liner answers that do not really say very much except.. I like bitcoin and perhaps this or that shitcoin and I got into bitcoin because my friend told me (and without many specifics in regards to whatever the various one-liners even means in terms of maybe showing some personal details that might be relatable and/or interesting.. like going on a date with a low charasmatic partner who cannot even carry his/her end of the conversation).

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

But honestly speaking, those who wants to engage on the interview should inbox the OP which is quite true because there's no way you can get the interview done without meeting him and he must take your link and add up it to the other participants who've enrolled in the interview.
Taking permission before taking ones property means you respect the person so they need to do the needful before partaken in the interview.
The questions are outdated no doubt because I believe those questions and the interview itself has been here before I even joined this Forum.
The best is for you Mr JayJuanGee to PM the OP to upgrade some of those, if not all the questions to make it look refreshed so that the fun can begin again.
Hope that's suppose to be so Mr JayJuanGee, don't you think so?🤔

Nobody reads on this forum anymore.  I swear, it must have something to do with so much screen time shortening our attention spans, because I've found myself to be a victim of it as well (though I try to read as much of a thread as I can before I respond).

About the quality of responses being skunky: maybe there ought to be some threshold respondents have to meet in order to have their answers posted here.  That would obviously be OP's call, but I know damn well that if the answers have to be written in English a huge number of people here won't be able to get their points across coherently.  No fault of their own, but I don't think anyone wants to spend valuable brain time trying to decipher a bunch of nonsense.  I sure as hell don't.

But, I think this should also be the OP's job. Most interviews are posted by the user themselves, when it should be the OP. He is the one who should receive the answers to the questions, compile the answers and post them. And in this process, if any additional information was needed about an answer, the user would be asked.

Another thing I've noticed is that the questions are always the same, or almost always the same. When the questions could be somewhat adapted to each user. Maybe by doing a small questionnaire beforehand, and then preparing the questions.

Otherwise, I think the OP continues to do a good job.

Otherwise, I think the OP continues to do a good job.

I had also suggested some contemporary themes (or issues that are currently in the news), and so we likely know that some of the themes are no longer as relevant and/or there is also not really that much importance that the same kinds of themes are asked to later responders as compared with earlier responders..

so in that sense, consistency of the questions might not matter very much with the "of the day" themes, even though there could be some value in terms of some of the basic questions being similar since it might well not matter very much to change the wording of some of the basic questions like, when did you first get into BTC (and how - who, what, where, when) and when did you first hear about the forum and how.. and some of the other questions may or may not vary over time, so some of the extent to variance may well have to do with OPs preferences (or changes in his own ideas) or accounting for some of the changes in what members of the forum are talking about.. so for example, there had been times when the terms Defi and ICO might be used more but then more contemporary themes might be ordinals/inscriptions or talking sidechains, or lightning network and/or stable coins, and sure some of the themes overlap and the concept of Defi or ICO might still cover the concept, but with the passage of time there likely are better ways to phrase questions...

and so for example, this is not my thread, so even if I make some suggestions, I am not even going to try to take it over or try to direct it, because I already know that OP is way more receptive to some shitcoin themes than I am, and he is surely free to emphasize the points that tie to his own interests or what he might believe is of interest to forum members or some combination of these... and yeah, I like the idea of pre-question questionnaires and/or even follow-ups, even though some forum members had been interacting with some of the responders in order to attempt to get clarification on some of the responses that the responders. and sure even though follow up from questions does seem to be more of a job of the OP, there also does not seem to be anything wrong with taking advantage of the crowd-sourcing nature of the forum.. even though other members might not necessarily be as good at following up or even be incentivized to necessarily explore topics in a way that might also be a bit of the responsibility of OP (but yeah, who exactly is responsible for the questions and/or the follow-up could be a bit of a loose parameter in a thread like this that is on a forum rather than a more traditional kind of an interview structure that might be more purposefully controlled by   one interviewer).

Well, that's not what OP says. Unless something changed in the meantime and its free for all now.

If you yourself want to give an interview, write to me in PM

I don't know about the others, but I was reading each and every interview while there was some selection and only people with some history (like you) here had the privilege to give answers

That eventually changed when we got bunch of pretty much unknown members joining and I honestly didn't care to find more about someone I didn't even know exists on forum before and whom I never exchanged a single sentence so I eventually stopped checking this thread.

Is good you made it clear because it seems that the OP doesn't have any meanful questions to ask that's why he hasn't updated this thread which I doubt.
I still believe the OP has a bucket loads of questions to ask but he hasn't find out time to renew his questions and I'll still say Mr JJGee should give him (the OP) time since it has gotten to his notice.

That's to say the Forum has a lot of space to accomodate different people from different countries and you have get use to it by getting to know the new faces that flood the forum and things do change when the crowd are much, some adjustments need to be made like you can reapply and answer some of those questions again just to keep this thread alive, maybe when the OP has new questions .

Some of the questions now can not be changed due to their relevance but others are now outdated. The bitcoin world is ever changing and there are new questions that should be added to make the interview more interesting.

This interview section should not be for everybody. I am not trying to be sentimental but it should be for members with experience or have something unique to share. Even in the real world, the media don't host just anybody on the street for interviews. This section should be an avenue where members learn from veterans in the forum. Many new members that have been interviewed just repeat the same stories making this thread less educative. New faces need to stay in the forum and gain experience before coming to tell their stories.

Well, in the meantime, many have already given their opinion on the evolution of this topic, but we haven't had the opportunity to listen to the OP yet.

zasad@ what is your opinion on this matter? What difficulties have you had in developing this project? What do you think could be done to make the topic even more dynamic?

I don't have any problem with the idea of "nobodies" giving interviews because it is quite likely that every single member of this forum (who is a real person rather than a bot) has individual experiences that are interesting and can be relevant and interesting for others to read, but one of the problems and difficulties is that some people have difficulties figuring out how to provide at least enough personally specific facts in order for the story to have some kind of level of interestingness due to some of the individual details... which likely any of us can only get to that level by providing some personal details rather than just giving the conclusions about what happened and without fleshing it out.

I am not going to even try to say that I am any kind of interesting person, because i am likely boring as fuck to some people.. but then sometimes there can be certain pieces of a story and even facts that can be unravelled and explored in order to attempt to get some kind of an interesting angle to an otherwise mundane story....

....and for example, one time more than 20 years ago, I recall telling a story about eating some live squid to some family members, and I recall that I sent an e-mail on the topic, and my e-mail was only a few paragraphs, but I went over a lot of the details of how my experience had gone... and it probably took me more than three hours to write those three paragraphs.. I wrote the first draft, and then edited it, and then the next day, I edited it again, and added some more facts, and then right around the third day I sent out that e-mail and my live squid eating story..

...and so even the other day, I went on a not so interesting walk, and then as I was approaching the water front, I saw a right around 40-year old guy who was riding a tricycle with coconuts out of the back of the tricycle, and he stopped near a coconut tree and as he saw that I was walking up to him, he pointed at me and then pointed up to the top of the tree (which was about 60 feet), and pretty soon he started climbing the tree.. and I just stood there watching him for more than 10 minutes and torn between whether I should continue to go on my walk or to finish watching him get about 15 coconuts from the top of the tree and throw them to the ground, and then when he got back to the ground, I asked him how long he had been in the coconut business and climbing trees like that, and he said 3 years.. and I thought wow... and I probably even said "wow," and I asked him a few other questions as he was loading up his coconuts into a weaved sack to take over to his tricycle, and I did not ask him how old he was, but I still was thinking (and probably even implying it with some of my questions to him) that he is pretty old to be climbing coconut trees like that and maybe making around a couple dollars per coconut. and even was almost feeling like giving him a tip, just for watching him, but as he was gathering his final coconuts and taking them to his  trike, I started to continue my walk, kind of slowly, and then maybe it was just a minute or two later as I am walking, I looked back, and the tricycle was gone, and I saw that he was already on the other side of the street and riding in the opposite direction.. but my witnessing of the event stuck with me for that whole day and even several days after, which caused me to think about it as an example for this response.

My point is that somewhat boring things can sometimes be made to sound somewhat more interesting due to some of the individual tailoring and addition of some details, including if some attempts to capture the moment are added. .and some of those personal details might be similar to the experiences of other people, like a friend told me about bitcoin.. .. but then if you tell me something interesting about that particular friend (like he smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day, or that he had a parrot at his house or that his dad was a very depressed person, even though he had around 15 children from 5 different women), then your story becomes more individualized, even if some other member might have friends just like that guy/gal and there is nothing really overly interesting about your story, except for the fact that you had added some personal details or some specifics or even saying how something made you feel to flesh out how some of the more important aspects played out for you...

Well, in the meantime, many have already given their opinion on the evolution of this topic, but we haven't had the opportunity to listen to the OP yet.

That's true but let's give the OP some credit here, he has done a great job by getting this far with this thread and it made many members to air out their own view on some questions (if not all) listed.
About the OP, I don't know if he has been active for sometime now to check on this thread, to do something about it because I know he would if he had the chance to come across these requests of updating the thread.

Quote
zasad@ what is your opinion on this matter? What difficulties have you had in developing this project? What do you think could be done to make the topic even more dynamic?

Nice questions, but I don't think he has much to do on this issue. This thread or project as the case maybe is an interesting one if not we won't have been here seeking for a way forward to promote it even more... He just need to do one or two touches to the questions and we're good to go.
To me the best is to wait for the OP to get back from his vacation 😁.

I thought we were special!

Since technically, the "relatively" long story that I told was within an alternate universe, it was also in another language which is not easy to describe in English, but yeah.. essentially you are describing the matter lo sufficientemente accurately.  ¡Basta!

I hate to admit it.

So in the post you cited, I am largely recommending that forum members (whether newbies or otherwise) need to spend some time UPping their "wall of text" game.

And, so add some meat.  Flesh it out.  Give us a few personal details.  Take the long route.  Elaborate.  Try to say what you are going to say in a descriptive kind of way.  Maybe provide some references (surely optional).  Tell us the color of the jacket and that it had holes in two of its pockets rather than just saying that there was a jacket involved.

Yes.  Those kinds of suggestions.. since I am hesitant to give advice, I would like to refer to this as providing suggestions.

Hey.. I know some members are way better than me, and some of the members will format their walls of text, divide the walls of text into subplots and themes and even provide citations, and surely even though that's better, "we" do not necessarily strive to have the perfect become the enemy of the good.

Do we?

Do we?

DDDdddddddooooooooo WE?

Maybe that's "royal we?"  Didn't mean to harass uie-pooie too much with that final question.. .......................

.........................or did I?

Thanks for the opportunity to share my experience on cryptocurrency.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
I new about cryptocurrency in 2018, and I became interested in cryptocurrency in 2019, during the lockdown because I was boring and needed to make use of my time to learn something new, so that i can also be part of the crypto space.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
I bought my first bitcoin 2020, but I had not gotten the the right knowledge then, so I bought at a high price and when bitcoin price went below my entry point, I panicked and sold because I borrowed the money and thought that I can make profit within a short period of time. I messed it up.

3. How did you get on the forum?
I got here through a friend that I told about my zeal to learn more about how bitcoin works, and he directed me to this forum that he came accross it online, when he was making some reseach.

4.1. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
Actually, from what I have learnt so far in the forum, I have come to understand that when one knows the basic concepts of bitcoin, which is how to buy bitcoin and which is the right wallet to use for the safety of your bitcoin, you can go ahead and start investing. This is because part of the basic concept of bitcoin is ro invest in a long term which can be from 4 -10yrs. And along the line as the person is continues with his accumulation, he can start learning the other part of it. This means that 2-3yrs is too long to learn before investing, because the earlier one invests in bitcoin, the better for him. Therefore, i will say that one month is cool, since you are only going to buy from an exchange and transfer it into your noncustodial wallet. Learning the rest can continue for as long as the person feels, he can.

4.2. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
The government is the first thing that I will say can hinder the adoption of crypto, when they bring laws that is not crypto friendly, like banning bitcoin in the country. Secondly, lack of knowledge can also hinfer the mass adoption of crypto, when the people don't know the difference bitcoin altcoins and bitcoin, they might end up investing in altcoins and when it pumps and dump. Investirs will lose and this can make them scare from bitcoin, because they will think that all crptocurrency are the same.

4.3. What is the situation with cryptocurrencies in your country? Are there any problems when exchanging for fiat? Which city or place in your country is best suited for cryptocurrency holders?
Cryptocurrency is restricted from banks but individuals have access to it.
Centralized exchanges has made the exchanfe of cryptocurrency (bitcoin) very easy to sell and have your fiat currency in your bank account through their P2P trade.
The Federal Capital Territory Abuja, will be a good place for cryptocurrency holders.

4.4. Are you using the Lightning network? If yes, for what purposes?
Yes, I use LN for smaller transactions because it is cheaper.

4.5. Which secure cryptocurrency wallets are you currently using?
I use electrum wallet currently due to some unique deatures that it has, like allowing double spending using RBF, CPFP ans coin control.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
It is cool and I like the initiative because it will make one eager to learn and improve himself so that he can grow and start earning something for his contributions on the forum. This shows that every member of this forum has a compensation for contributing towards the forum growth. It may or may not harm the forum, because it depends on individuals how they will want to take things for granted.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
JJG’s Outline of Bitcoin Investment Ideas
Helpful users are JJG becacause I have learnt so much from him from our discussions on the best way to go about your bitcoininvestment with the best strategy for a newb ie like me which is regulat DCA. o_e_l_e_o is also someone that I have also learnt a lot from on wallet software.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
I don't trade on echanges because it is a risky practice and I don't want to take such risk, since my plans is to keep on stashing my bitcoin bag and hodli, i believe in investment because there will be a bigger return in the long run compared to trading.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
No big profit or loss yet because I haven't experience any bull run and I haven't sold any of my bitcoin after I started accumulating. The only time that I lost when when I sold out of panic because I don't understand much about bitcoin and this was in 2020.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
My anonymity is a vital neccessity for privacy sake.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
I haven't read any book yet on cryptocurrency but I have read so many articles on cryptocurrency.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
Bitcoin Bitcoin Bitcoin.. We can't trust those altcoins out there, because they are like gambling.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2023?
I hope to see bitcoin price above $31k, since $31k is the highest price that bitcoin has reached in this current circle.

All right, it's also many questions and takes time to reply to each question.
