According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

You are not embarrassed to post such an abysmal offer? This is what can be characterized as a " Guaranteed loser". That sale price, non-hosted... at .04 cents per kwh is a 2 year ROI. Add in your horrible metric, and this pays back......never. I don't understand why people tolerate the insidious nature of these "COLO's". People need to be made aware of this parasitic business model. These businesses contribute nothing more than destructive facets to the space.

not to mention this price is close to 700 over what Bitmain charged for the same unit.

To be fair, the price on Bitmain's site was is $1,785 for September, but $1868.00 for August batch.

Then add delivery, plus taxes and any bonds and they could easily cost you about $2430 or more to your door (in the US)

Yes you could wait till the next batch comes out from bitmain and they will probably be cheaper, but getting them into the US won't be much cheaper.

And compared to many resellers who are charging £2.7K plus shipping for ready stock, its not that bad of a deal.

Everyone has to do their own calculations, selling old gear that has already ROI'ed to fund these can also be a way of reducing time it takes to recoup the cost of theses.

As always, YMMV Cheesy

gotcha - i didnt take it as meaning that included the tariff. but also have to host with them which is also not an option for me.

this would make them better than the other resellers then. Many of them are charging the same price as TW is here and then heaping tariffs on top of it.

So that clears up any of my confusion.

Not to mention, that if you do buy this miner, you must host it there.  so that really isnt too much of a selling point
