Hey guys, after waking up in the morning I saw ETH was at 263$. Currently sitting on the 270$ price. What is the news behind this pump?

Also, are we going to see Ethereum again 300+? What's your thought on this?

All eyes on Ethereum now, big whales are targeting on top alts now seems like alts season. Over the past few days ETH is soaring and I went through few articles where it suggest there are possiblities that ETH might go more than $450. There are chances that alts will rock for couple of months from now on and I am personally planning to Invest in some top alts.

I do not think this is a pump, i see it as a gradual growth taking effects on the price of etherum on the exchanges and marketcap, and i believe as reported should grow even further.

I am quite optimistic that this surge is going to be the start of something big for ethereum and bitcoin, I am specifically talking with reference to longterm bull trend which was highly expected after btc halving even, seems like coming months will be even more bullish.

It is already nearing 300 but i think it is not a sudden pump rather if you see monthly chart you will see that ethereum was ranging and accumulating in that price range for months. In other words the support range was firmly developing and i think the price will truly breakout if it exceeds 350 then we can expect some longterm bulls.

I also surprised by seeing this sudden pump.Actually I just unfortunately missed the train.
In my opinion this pump occurred for launching Ethereum 2.0 in near future.
Hope it will continue bull run because a big event for Ethereum is coming.

I don't think we can see ETH higher than $ 300. the price raised because BTC exited from the flat in a positive direction, but there is no fundamental reason for the growth

Money is currently cycling on the top alts right now as people don't see some movement in bitcoin while the alt markets are showing a lot of activity. Sure enough it's not only ETH who's going to receive some pumping action in the next days or so. $300 is quite a target but easily doable if the momentum is maintained and the money isn't gone somewhere else. In the mean time, if ETh loses steam @ $280, chances are it will be a hard breakthrough overall. Bets are on ETH to do some good gains within this week and I'm down for it.

Look like an unexpected surge for no reason at all for Ethereum. Kinda weird when other altcoins don't come near Ethereum's surge while there is no news that can cause this much positive effect.

Still feels like this is possible because of two things only, the first is DeFi projects success and second is the upcoming eth 2.0, rumour has it that it's near completion since a bug bounty is out for hackers to find breach and flaws in the system

This price surge is most probably due to the ethereum 2.0 hype as the month of August is coming and most probably there will be an announcement from the ethereum foundation in the near future, so the people are trying to catch the train before it leaves the station and when everyone will be wanting to catch this train then they will give their ethers to those people for a premium on the market price. So, right now we should accumulate as much ether as we can until the announcement of ethereum 2.0. Surely there will be a dump after a sharp pump after this announcement, if a person times his entry right then he can really make a lot of money in this trade.

Am just happy to see many green in the market today, am not sure what is the cause of this little nice pump but I do know that it is good to see the market looking good, eth hit a new high of $275 today,  btc has been stable for a while now, i guess we are seeing the aftermath of the past stable price.

It could be a good day to profit if its just announced but somehow there is a dump for the Defi projects which I think those guys are buying ETH again. Most altcoins are surging but  because of ETH sudden pump.  We already speculate that $250 would be easy for ETH and should also be $300 once when its about ETH 2, many of us will just keep staking.

Green is the color of an uptrend and to be honest, I miss those good old days in 2017. In those days, 10%-20% was not "good score" and people were throwing away their hard-earned cash in small marketcap altcoins. $300 is still resistance but ETH traders can turn the resistance to support line if they can survive in fake breakouts around these price levels.

l do agree partly with your opinion on that, ETH is the one of the best coins and it is really very good news for ETH holders. l hope ETH will keep growing up, l don't know what is the behind of increasing suddenly the price of ETH, maybe there are a lot of investors who are interested in ETH investing. As you above said it is hard to see ETH price at 300$. But that doesn't mean it will not happen, in my mind, it happens sooner or later.

That's because we are currently in the phase market slightly pump in price and there is no news behind the pump but the whales market manipulation decision.

The few dollars increase in price of Ethereum within some hours doesnt mean the surge in price trend will simultaneously continue and the perfect decision is to take advantage of this surge in price market.

From what I could gather, this is most likely because of the hype of the Ethereum 2.0 and the bounty bug hunting that they recently announced. Most investors probably thought that the new version is nearing because they are now bug hunting. To be fair, they really did a good job advertising and hyping this new update for months and I think others are taking notice now.

That explains the surge of ETH price. Its just a month and knowing that its been delayed for many months, they must have done a lot of testing first which Ethereum 2 will really be coming out. If the train hasn't yet move, its time to buy your tickets before FOMO starts. It would be pricey than today's price if you buy later.

There's no chance of $5k anytime soon. That's x20 on current price, which is unheard of for a high cap coin.
I do think ETH is underpriced, and the move to 2.0 is a big step forward and will help to set it up for the future... but I really can't see x20, and even if it happened it's unlikely that such a huge sudden swing would be sustainable. Personally I would prefer a long steady growth in price.

ethereum has shown a positive trend is able to rise even though not much, the increase occurred mainly in bitcoin and ethereum also followed
