So there's no update about this fight since people are turning to Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield? People, once upon a time this thread was very active as we are excited to see this fight to happen, but now it's looks like a ghost town as suddenly people forget although this fight is not cancelled yet to my knowledge.

We still have three months before the match so don't be surprised if the thread hasn't been active for a few days. It's not that long, it's only a week that since this thread was active so I don't find it to be like a ghost town. There's not that much news and hype for the match.
But see to it that if the match is approaching maybe a month or less than a month, you'll see a lot of hype on it.

The hype started with Holyfield vs Tyson, what happened to that fight? I thought that was a better match up than this current fight, but out of nowhere Tyson vs Jones came up, so if this fight would still be cancelled, people would really be disappointed, including me.

The hype started because when Tyson announced his return Holyfield also announced his return for an exhibition fight and the news channels started speculating that they are coming back for a charity bout but Tyson said it is difficult to fight a friend as Holyfield and Tyson have a good rapport after retirement and that was the reason Roy Jones was selected as they already had an history as they were about to fight during their active careers.

Agree, tomorrow is the fight but can't find any hype but this isn't the only platform you can look about the fight. Also, there are many social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter where they hype the boxing fans and if you want a healthy discussion, Reddit is there.

I'm pretty sure that the hype is very hard to find due to the situation right now, many are suffering in COVID-19 and can't think about the amazing fight. It's very hard to find sponsors these days that will help to promote the event.

It was a wrong decision to announce this fight if they are expecting a crowd, it's been announce in the pandemic time and we know it might last longer, so what's the purpose of announcing it and they will just keep postponing it until they will cancel this fight.

Promoters can also get a lot of money from the TV broadcasting which is going to be huge as a huge interest will be sparked when announcing that Mike Tyson is back in boxing.Many persons including non boxing fans love this controversial personality of Mike Tyson that he has showed during the years and that is why I think a lot of money can still be made even if the fight happens in an empty arena.

Nope wrong here,because at least People wanna see this in live viewing so the organizer is hoping that by that time at least
 the distancing will be shorten or at  totally abolished.
like in my country from 1 meter physical distancing now it was reduce to 0.75 meters and next week to 0.5 meters
and the next week will be 0,25 meters
If this will be implemented in the Boxing place then the crowd will be at least doubled or triple ?
so in that case many people will watch live and many also will watch online so advertised will increase and bettors as well.

I really like it to see Tyson making a comeback as a fighter. In movies, he is not doing so bad. I watched Kickboxer, when he had a small role. That was nice role he had their. Not the main role, but still he was able to deliver some good fights and he teached Sloan a lesson in that movie in the scene that was going on in the prison. Do not know if he is getting to old for real fights like the one is coming. Still a legend Tyson.

He is one of the guess fighter on the IP Man 3 where we see he gives the main actor a pain in the ass. well! that's how the movie goes but overall we can see in the movie that he is doing well and his body is fit for some exhibition fight. We need to understand that no matter how good he was when he was at his prime, he will become old one day at the same time his skills are now good for only doing some light things like what he does in this movie.

You're not the only one who wants to see Tyson boxing again, but all Tyson fans from all over the world will want the same thing.
So there is no problem with Tyson's age who is no longer young, because a legend like Tyson will always be interesting to watch.
Even Tyson played a small role in the film, which could increase the film's popularity.

Even though it's an exhibition bout, both of these guys are extremely competitive, and I don't think either are going to want it to go to the score cards (well maybe RJJ).

Pushing it back to November does slightly favor Roy Jones, since he'll be able to bulk up somewhat to close the weight gap, but I still think Tyson will come in significantly heavier—after rehydration at least.

Roy Jones Jr. is a boxer, one of the greatest boxers in boxing so I believe he already know what Tyson can do prior to taking the fight.

Just bumping this thread for some updates, the round has been shortened from the regular 3 minutes to 2 minute round for safety purposes (specially for Roy Jones).

I think it's good though, remember that this is already old warrior, and eventhough they have train hard for this fight, they no longer possessed that stamina to stay in a 3 minute round and it could really affect them, not during the fight, but after as it could have a negative impact on their health as they might be push to their limits.

I think this is much better since this is a Knockout game and not a exhibition in which these 2 fighters will really try to beat down each other.

Still i am for Mike Tyson in this fight and Hope will end without injuries because the fighters is older than the normal boxers that fighting for knockout.
