Just bumping this thread for some updates, the round has been shortened from the regular 3 minutes to 2 minute round for safety purposes (specially for Roy Jones).

I agree, they need to take a look at this boxers health and try to reduce the effect on them after the fight. 2 minute is still good though, in boxing there's a lot that can happened, and they don't want to get more damage, specially to Jones, which seems to stutter a lot now (I don't know if you have notice it), but most of the time it's hard to understand what Jones is saying. Good for WBC to stepped up.

It's good to see that they clarify it before the fight, this is an exhibition fight from old fighters, they don't need to follow the usual format as they are not active anymore, however I'm afraid that it will lessen the interest of the fans to subscribe for this game.

i think mike tyson because he has a plan and technique which is the  'peekaboo' that's the big advantage of iron mike and why im saying this cause of all these tyson skill are only tyson skill where roy doesn't have that.

I've read that kind of concern many times in this thread, but I believe they will be alright, they themselves understand that they are not fighting for belt, this is just an exhibition fight, people wants to see them still healthy after the fight while expecting some kind of entertainment too.

Just trust them, they know what they are doing, they've been in the business for many years.

This is an exhibition fight and i really do not think that they will go head hunting as their main aim is to raise money and not to prove that they are the baddest fighters as they are well passed their prime, the intriguing factor is that these fighters were supposed to fight during their fighting career and it never happened and the rules for an exhibition is always flexible according to both these fighters.

You wont able to say that because if you are a legendary boxer then you would always have thought in mind on proving out that you are still the best on that age.

They might not be head hunting but we would really see some serious fight here even though this is just an exhibition but this is way more better to look rather than

Good point and for sure they are being prepared by their respective doctors and training camps. They are not young in age but the desire to bring entertainment and those old glory days.

We will see those old blow, those old power punch to be thrown, as it can't be controlled knowing that this two boxers are really good at it.

But at the end of the day, the fight mostly for bringing entertainment and not to push
the K.O they are aware that both fighters needs to stay being healthy after this fight
and enjoy what would be the compensation that will be raised for both of them.

Obviously, it will save 1 minute of getting punished in the head, so that's a good start to prevent more damage in their body. Also they will not get exhausted as their body will not go to the usual 3 minutes/1 minute rest between each round.

Jones has also been in the public lately, trying to sell this fight as much as he can. Press conference scheduled on Oct. 29 so the excitement is already building up for this fight.

Wow. Didn't knew Mike Tyson was coming out of retirement. This is an exhibition fight with 2 minutes round that's why it would be more of an entertainment rather than real fight. Something like WWE style. It's more about getting some money. Who would win it would be another puzzle. I thought there's no crowd on this fight, the funds will only be taken from PPV, so let's hope they'll be able to sell according to their target so they'll not postponed the fight again, some people can't wait to see this especially the old ones who are following the journey of Tyson in boxing.

Ariel Helwani is the most hated by Dana White and most of the fighters do not like his style as he instigate fighters and try to get a reaction out of it, i guess he did something like that in this video as i am yet to watch it i am not sure what happened. When the videos of Tyson started coming online he was sparring with Rafael Cordeiro but he is not a straight up boxing coach and who is training Roy Jones.

This fight will be considered as biggest fight between two legends in the boxing history, I recently watched the pre fight conference earlier in this morning and it is incredible because both of players trashtalking to each other saying that they will knockout each other. The fight will be at staples center but the bad thing is there is no fans , but I think it is just a matter because it is part of strict protocol in order to contain and not to spread the virus.

They both in healthy state and I also watch their sparring and some beast training, for me both of them are in shape to fight. The words that came from Mike Tyson mouth in the press conference is not just a simple words, it is a words that have emotion and probably he will prove that he still the GOAT in terms of heavy weight bout in boxing.

I am waiting this fight until it moves this would be really a great fight I've seen how Mike Tyson practices on video clips on youtube and I could really tell he still can punch real hard that would knock out any boxers if managed to hit and I think this would be risky for both boxers due to their age let's hope that things will go well on their fight.

57-12 in favor of Tyson, there are poster who voted for Jones as well but the video that we saw says Tyson still has it, unfortunately this is just a short fight so I don't expect a knock down here, hopefully people will enjoy but I'm glad this fight has a lot of undercards.
