Few weeks ago, the crypto community received a major hit of scam perpetrated by evil people through the Hacking and hijacking access to major world notable individuals' tweeter accounts. These accounts were used to announce crypto giveaways requesting people to send a sum to receive multiple folds of whatever they send. It all ended up to be scams.

Currently, a similar post of ETH giveaway is going round on the Facebook page of crypto.com and it is obvious that it is another scam being perpetrated by the scammers.

I just want to implore guys to note that nobody who conduct a legit giveaway will first request you to send them fund first.

No one thing that should have in peoples mind from time to time that theres no someone would give out double your money instantly neither you are on traditional markets or even into this place.
Most of the time where people do lost up their common sense and do dive out without even having second thoughts that it might be a scam, they are just after on making quick bucks without any hard work.
In result? they do end up on getting scammed and cry in the end.

This isnt something new and these methods or schemes had already been known in the past but there are still people who do keep up feeding these scammers due to their dumbness and greediness.

Or no one not even people who have so much wealth and influence specially in crypto industry like CZ and Vitalik will simply giveaways money to us, that's for sure. Facebook, Youtube and other similar platforms that have been used by the criminals should really police their own back yard before people started to fall for this old trick but never gets fails to deliver and scam unsuspecting newbies.

Seriously eth halving? Its feel like selfdrop rather than a giveaway but this way it will be no eth coming on your wallet.

Its obvioua that eth now will be the center of attraction after more than 10% increase was happened on eth last night.  Its inevitable to see many tricks like this now that eth has started to rise possibly due to their announcement of last phasing of their testnet before their mainnet.

It's really obvious, you send fund and you get nothing in return that's even more of a clickbait to be honest. The real reason why such obvious scams are running around again because they see an increase of the crypto assets not just Ethereum.

If it's a giveaway it only should be given away and not asking you have to send an amount and they'll double it. As always it's not always the fault of the scammers but on ourselves as well if at all times we won't be vigilant.

That is why it is called free because you don't have to pay or send something to receive it. Never fall for this kind of obvious scheme, who would send you double of the amount you have sent. I am not sure if there are people who fell to this kind of scheme when twitter accounts of known personalities and pages were hacked last time. It is common sense that it's a scam. Always be cautious and think twice before joining any promotions or giveaways.

Scammers these days are really weird, that kind of giveaway can't be logic at all, it's a free giveaway, why do we have to send funds first? People today must have understood and are smart and not hit by such a trap and it is unfortunate that some YouTube content creators that contain are not discussing crypto but are hacked for the crypto live giveaway which is actually a scam. maybe some big media should discuss it like this so that ordinary people are not consumed by scammers like this.

I just want to implore guys to note that nobody who conduct a legit giveaway will first request you to send them fund first.

I don't know who and when this started but I sure see a lot of threads like this in the scam section, they are using popular personalities in the Crypto community, making it hard to resist if you are a newbie, and this is still ongoing sad to say many are still getting victimized, we have many warning about this, and it's up to newbies if they still don't heed this advice.

I'm sure no one will take part in such prizes even though they are using a large market Twitter account, the giveaways should be free, but they ask to send some etherium, hopefully no one will be trapped by this kind of thing.

Sadly this is becoming a common way to scam people... Even the scammers are getting fake accounts that are verified by social networks to make this kind of scams, and it's sad because tons of people are falling to this kind of scams as their fists cryptocoins interaction, and that's a really bad start.

That's an immediate red flag knowing that you have to spend some money to participate. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not always going to be a scam. Some are offering things like that through the ticketing system, and that payment is for that ticket to participate in the giveaway. I don't know what people are thinking with such live videos about it, and it's obviously using a person's name related to that topic and scam anyone gullible enough to send crypto. I think people who are going to get scammed with this method are lazy people who have lots of money to throw away, and maybe, just maybe, there's a legitimate one that could double your money.

actually very sad because scammers escaped YouTube security.

Remember, bounties and airdrops is free. don't have to pay a fee.

In accordance with the image that was obviously scam and I've seen that several times in the different telegram
channels. So, if you see those kind of promotion stay away from it to avoid scam in the end.
And I agreed to your statement bounties and airdrops are free to anyone.

Let this be bold and large enough that everyone will realize how true and important this is.

It puzzles me until now how stupid some people could be, how greedy they could become to the point of losing whatever little rational capacity they have over a stupid double-your-money scam posted by no less than Elon Musk!

Some of us seem unbelievably desperate to bite such stupid bait.

That's why we need to always give a warning so newbie persons will not just believe in that scheme . If you found any post like this in any social media channel care to post or reply in that channel to warning everyone before they will try to send any amount to scammers.

Its common scheme but there is always a victim and before newbie know that's its scam   they already send the money to scammers.

This have been discussed many times on this forum, people are just too stupid enough not to believe warnings sometimes, it's like they don't know the value of money, you have 1000$ and someone is willing to double it for you? Is that person printing money? It's same thing as crypto, we all know it's free and very valuable, I hope people learn and stop feeding scammers

This type of scam giveaways are very popular on YouTube and I read on news that someone have sued YouTube for crypto scam giveaways, I think it's time for all social media platforms to start securing their users, giveaways are on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and few others

Almost everything is scam if they ask for a money to give you more money, just sense why they need out little money to give it double the amount if they really wanted to give it to the community they will give it in proper way like charity and donation, they won't simply throw their money on the internet.
